Defined rule not seen in Properties Panel

I am a novice, using DW CS5, trying to learn the 1 column liquid, centered, header and footer layout provided.
The following rule is seen in Code View, as well as in the CSS Panel:
ul, ol, dl { /* Due to variations between browsers, it's best practices to zero padding and margin on lists. For consistency, you can either specify the amounts you want here, or on the list items (LI, DT, DD) they contain. However, this rule is not available in the Properties Panel, as are the others to apply, e.g. .content.
I'm sure that the answer is simple, but it eludes me.

Exactly what do you mean by "not available" in the Properties panel?
Are you looking at the HTML properties or CSS properties inspector?
And what are you trying to do with the list elements?
If you're trying to insert a list, use the HTML properties inspector and click on the bullet (unordered list) or numbered (ordered list) icon.

Actionscript code can be seen in a search, but not seen in Actions Panel nor symbol

I purchased a template which has flash menu buttons. The current button url's go to index.html, index-2.html, index-3.html, and so on. I want to change these. In Flash, I searched for index-3.html and it finds it at the location: Symbol 'Button2 copy 3' -> Layer 'Layer 4' -> Frame '1' and the actionscript command is: getURL("index-3.html");
Everything is fine so far. However, when I double-click the symbol and go to the location (or double-click the search result), the actionscript command cannot be found at all. I tried pressing F9 to open the Actions Panel, and I see the button symbol but I don't see any actionscript commands associated with it. It seems to be very unusual - the search picks up the actionscript command but it can't be seen in the symbol's location where it says it is nor can it be seen in the Actions Panel. The script does work but it just cannot be seen! Does anyone know how to see the actionscript code in the Actions Panel or in the button symbol?

Oracle Services not seen in Service Panel

I am runnig an Oracle 9 database on Windows NT server.
For some reason the Oracle Services that was seen in the Services Window of the Control Panel disappeared.I could see the regedit is safe and the Database is running.How do I get the services to appear on the service window.

Please maintain service conditions through Txn ML33.

HT1926 Cannot install ADM in upgrading to iTunes 10.6.3 64-bit. Install does a 'rollback'. iTunes works but iPhone "DEVICE" is not seen in left panel.

Furthermore... AMD is not listed when I try the "Uninstall" trick - but all other Apple SW is - Bonjour, Quicktime etc.

One suggestion was to make sure AMD was started - go to admin, services etc. and make sure Apple Mobile Device is started. In my issue there is NO AMD listed in Services (local).
I have tried to reinstall/install at least 5 times - I always get to the 'rollback'. BUT - iTunes works! It is just that when I plug in my iPhone 4S it isn't recognized under Device.
I have Win 7 64-bit (and yes, I did download the correct 64-bit version). AMD does not install.
My version is 10.6
Before the upgrade everything worked fine. My iPhone is recognized at a local Apple store - so it's not the iPhone.

CS4 Crash, Properties panel unresponsive

Recently I had issue with Flash CS4 crashing repeatedly. Also
the application would have trouble using the text tool to create
TextFields it would not update the properties panel (Ctrl+F3) when
switching between field types (dynamic, static and input). Also the
properties panel would not update when selecting other items in the
FLA file and just remain as the TextField details.
A co-worker found that the issue was with the fonts on our
systems. It appears some where corrupt and this was wreaking havoc
with Flash CS4. We tried turning off the preview but that did not
work. What did work was removing the corrupt fonts on our systems.
First we had to find out which fonts were corrupt which can
be done with FontAgentPro from Insider Software
(www.insidersoftware.com). (Compatible with Mac OSX, XP and Vista)
We installed the trial and tried to run an import which told
us which fonts were corrupt. Once we knew which fonts were corrupt
we just deleted/removed them from our Font folder. Note
FontAgentPro crashed when we deleted/removed the fonts with it
open; so we had to make a list of the fonts and close FontAgentPro.
Once the bad fonts were gone we were able to open and run
Flash CS4 without it crashing or the properties panel from hanging
or becoming unresponsive.
We hope this helps other who are experiencing similar issues.
Note:
On fresh Vista install Calibri, Cambria and Constantia fonts
were all seen as corrupt. Not sure if this happened due to font
installs we made, vista install bad (which runs very stable) or if
Vista fonts are a different creature than previous window OT and
TTF fonts.

Unfortunately Adobe is notorious for not following Windows
standard APIs. It
is unlikely they will fix the issue anytime soon.

User defined rule for missing triples

Hi,
i would like to know if there is a way to define a user defined rule for triples that are not contained in a model. With curly brace syntax it could be something like this:
INSERT INTO mdsys.semr_validation_rb VALUES(
'test_rule',
'{?s ?p ?o. OPTIONAL{?s rdf:type ?t}}',
't is null',
'(?s <hasType> "false")',
null);

Note that there is something you need to pay a bit attention to.
Say your original graph contains
:John :fatherOf :Mary
but not any type classification for :John (i.e. no match for {:John rdf:type ?t})
Assume you add the following triple according to the rule you described
(:John <hasType> "false")
Now, what happens if :John is classified as a :Person (or :Parent, :Father),
do you want to withdraw* :John <hasType> "false"?

When I type in Fireworks, nothing shows up in my Properties panel??!?

I'm currently going through a tutorial on building a contact form. When I try to type anything, my property panel is empty. This mean that if I want to change anything, like the font, size etc. I have to do it in the top menu.
I've tried quitting Fireworks, then reopening it with a fresh new document -- same thing.

Use the symbol properties panel, not the regular properties panel and change the label of the selected form symbol in that panel. HTH

Character Styles in CSS Properties Panel are not correct

I am using Adobe Illustator CC.
I am trying to export all of the charter styles as CSS. However the CSS panel is not generating the correct style.
Right now, in the Character Styles Panel and CSS Properties Panel I have 3 styles (Default, h1, h2)
This is how they are defined in the Character Styles Panel:
1. [Normal Character Style]:Helvectic Neue LT Std, 55 Roman, 16px
2. h1: Helvectic Neue LT Std, 25 Ultra Light, 35px
3. h2: Helvectic Neue LT Std, 45 Light, 18px
HOWEVER
When I go to the CSS Properties panel the code is not showing the Font Style:

CSS cannot render typographical multiple weight fonts simply because that's just not how it works. All CSS does is reference a physical font file and its properties and while it's possible to use the font-weight and font-style attributes to make standard fonts lighter or bolder it does not compare to anything you would do with the font in a real design environment. That and of course you still need to define fallback/ substitution options - the Helvetica Neue you are referencing is exclusively available on Apple systems only and even if what you are trying worked off the bat, it would be useless on alternate devices that have no access to the font.

Symbol Properties panel not updating or refreshing

Y'all,
I'm running FW CS5 under Windows 7 Pro (64-bit), and my Symbol Properties panel has stopped updating when I select a symbol to modify. I have to close and re-open the Symbol Properties panel to force it to refresh.
If I have the panel open and select a symbol on the page, the panel remains blank.
If I have edited a symbol then deselected it, that symbol's properties remain visible in the Symbol Properties panel after the symbol is deselected.
If I have edited a symbol then select another symbol, the first symbol's properties remain visible in the panel and it does not update to show the properties of the newly selected symbol.
In all cases I must close and re-open the Symbol properties panel to force it to refresh and update.
I've also noticed two other peculiar refresh problems lately - when the rulers are visible and I either zoom in / zoom out on the document or change the application window size, the top ruler often vanishes. I have to minimize then maximize the Fireworks application window to force a refresh and get the rulers to re-appear.
Finally, the little document info boxes at the lower right corner of the canvas showing document size and zoom level often go blank or vanish when I either zoom in / zoom out on the document or change the application window size. It seems that the problem may be related to some larger Fireworks screen refresh problem. It did not behave this way when first installed - it began happening recently, and the only thing that has changed was a minor update to all of the CS5 design tools (including FW) about the way that image metadata is handled.
Is anyone else experiencing odd refresh errors? Is it possible that an extension could cause this?
Any help and advice would be appreciated, because it has become really cumbersome to use component symbols.

After digging around and looking at what has been updated or installed on my computer since these weird refresh problems began, I may have identified a possible cause.
Adobe installs the Java runtime with the Creative Suite (I'm not sure why, but it's there), and a few weeks ago the 1.6.20 update installed itself, but it failed multiple times before installing, then Windows 7 informed me that a component was improperly installed with the incorrect privileges. Last night the 1.6.21 update installed itself without any errors, and this morning Fireworks seems to be working normally again.
I'll keep monitoring FW for weird refresh problems, and if they return I'll post an update. It is possible that the 1.6.20 update broke something that was fixed by the 1.6.21 update.
Can anyone tell me why the CS programs require Java and what it is used for?

Data not coming from DOE to Mobile After defining Rule for device attribute

Hi All,
I have created a DO and rule for it.In case of Bulk Rule for all definition when i triggere extract from Portal then all the data comes to outbound queue but when i define rule for Device attribute then no data comes to my Outboun queue.Here is the scenario what i am doing :
1. I have order header in my backend which has a field named "Work_Center" and this will be criteria field.
2. In CDS table i have all the records for all the work center.
3. Now in RMM under customized , i have added an attribute named "Work_center".
4. Now i defined a rule with Device attribute mapping and activated the rule.
5. Now on Portal i assigned this data object and in the device attribute tab i assigned the value(this value exist in CDS table for few orders) of a Work center to the attribute "Work_Center" .
6. Then i triggrere extract but its Outbound queue is empty, what could be the reason.
Is my approach is correct

You can check one ore thing, after you have performed all the steps till step 5, i.e. just before triggering
extract. Check if the AT table for ur DO has entries based on the criteria specified by you...
1. In the workbench click on the Data Object, and then right click and select "View Metadata".
2. Select Distribution Model tab.
3. Now select your DO's Association table.
4. For the input field DEVICE ID specify your corresponing device id,and also for status field specify it
as "I" and execute
If there are any entries now in the AT table, and on triggering extract if they are not coming to the
outbound Q there is some EXTRACT Q blocked. And is there were no entries in the AT then the rule
specified is not the satifying.

I tried to delete the layer attempt again. I am in a Photoshop class, but the work is all online, so all my teacher is going to do is send me to this site. I am trying to edit a photo for this class, and without this working, i go to filter>render>light effects. the bar and panel will pop up for about 2 seconds, then disappear. How do i get the options bar and properties panel to display?

I was about to suggest resetting LE from the Workspace drop-down top right corner, but if you can't see the Options Bar, I guess that is not going to happen. The normal Tool reset is grey out for LE, so it might be a case of resetting Preferences.

Properties panel for masks not working

The apply, disable and delete buttons on the properties panel for masks does not work in PSD CC. Is this a bug or do I have some setting not set correctly? If I want to apply a layer mask I have to drag it to the trash in the layers panel then make a choice on a popup menu. They worked in CS6.

I don't know exactly what is going on with your friend's system, but the instance you mentioned of Applying layers masks, was actually a safety error trap. i.e. Do you really want to trash this layer mask or do you want to Apply it before deleting it.
In CC the Adjustment layer, and Masks share the same Properties panel, so you have to have a mask selected to view the masks panel. It all works sensibly IME. As I said above, you were coming at something a bit left field. That's not necessarily wrong. Whatever workflow works best for you is best for you, but there might be better ways to do things.
A lot of us rail innitially at changes to apps we have used in a certain way for many years, but IME they always turn out to be for the better once you get used to them.

1600 to 900 is screen resolution and font size was 125% - changed it to 100% and that allowed full properties panel to be displayed

Xcesius properties panel not visible

Hi Experts,
I have a very basic question. I have been working on Xcelsius for quite some time and I have suddenly noticed that the properties panel in my xcelsius has disappeared. I have not made any upgrades.
In the 'View' menu, I have the option 'Properties' checked. Is there anything else that I need to take care of.

Check the size of the Properties window , I think u might reduse the size of the Properties window.

CS4 properties panel not completely visible

The dreamweaver CS4 properties panel is not completely
visible, some parts of it don't show up completely. In vista I have
my fonts set at 110%, 106 dpi. When I change them back to 100%
96dpi, it becomes visible.
I'm just curious why doesn't dreamweaver CS4 scale to larger
fonts, just like other applications? Is there some way to fix this?
I'd prefer to use larger system fonts, since their easier on the
eyes.
