Defining when to charge the battery - what is this option called?
Hi!
I am owning a T500 and I can decide at which percentage my battery should start being charged and when it should end.
Now other people are asking me if this is a particular feature of my model or if every new ThinkPad has this.
Does anyone know the answer - is this a feature of every ThinkPad or maybe even of every new Lenovo-Laptop.
Thanks!
Cheers
Dominik
Hello mate,
You need to switch to advanced mode to access the battery settings. After that click on the tab call battery, and there you can see a button call battery maintenance...
Go there and you can modify what you want.
Knowledge is of two kinds. We know a subject ourselves, or we know where we can find information on it.

When I charge the battery, the screen has a massage show" Not Enough Storage , This iPad cannot back up because there is not enough iCloud storage available. You can manage your storage in setting" but the problem is my iPad screen is freezed .I can do any thing about the setting, Can I change my iPad setting from my computer?
Reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release. You won't lose any data by doing this.

So I just got a 3 months Old iphone 4s which is still under warranty. I charged my phone to 100% last night before going to bed. When i woke up at 8 in the morning my phone was switched off and the battery was drained . This is ridiculous that I dint use my phone while i was asleep and the battery drained completely. Even though, Apple store replaced my battery with a new one. I had set alarm for 8è o clock and my phone had died and due to that i woke up at 8:40am. I had turned off my location services, ping and even 3G to monitor the usage. Has any one been expeirencing this kind of problem ?
I am so going to apple store today to get an replacement, this is ridiculous I cant wake up in the middle of the night to check if my phone has juice init to wake me up in the morning for the work. I have been using apple phones since 2008 and never came such problem . Please assist me as this phone is the main source of communicating with the rest of the world.Have you stopped the app running in multi tasking? To do this double click your home button, select and hold any app until it jiggles. Select the no entry sign to stop the app from running.

Is there a utility to tell when to charge the battery?
Does anyone know if there's a utility/application that limits charging the laptop's battery until it reaches a certain level? (ex: battery won't charge even if plugged in unless at 40%) My old Thinkpad had a setting like that and it proved wonders for keeping a steady battery life going, wondering if there's something similar for the MBP.
Hi,
Check the portal activity report iView which enables you to create and display a variety of reports about the number of users who logged on to the portal, about which users logged on to the portal, and about the number of times specific pages and iViews were visited.

When I plug the battery cord in to my mac pro, it says it is charging, but no light comes on and the charge is still low. What's going on?
Good grief! I had not plugged the USB jack all the way into the headphone port on the iPod. Having taken that action, the iPod shuffle works great. My bad, as they say.

i have mainstage 3 installed and works 1oo% when connected to the battery, but when connecting to the mains for charging the program crashes. sounds do not obey. is one, even very bad horrible latency.
and I need to work on music not only in time but the battery after that.
I ask for help pleaseThanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
Do you have an iPad 3 as well? And is yours not experiencing any issues close to mine?
Thanks again! -
I have an IPad2. I've received two different ideas on charging the battery. One person indicates I should let the battery run almost down before recharging; another person indicated I should keep it charged closer to 100% . What is the best process for the best battery life over time?
I do exactly as Thomas Reed does. Always have from day one. Going on 15 months now and I get at least 10 hours of use out the battery every day. No matter how much juice is left on the device when I go to bed - I put the iPad on the charger - doesn't matter what the battery gauge says - I plug it in and let it charge all night.

When I remove the battery charger the computer completely shuts down and won't start up without the battery charger. I have to restart all my windows when I turn it back on. Before it would just go to sleep and if it was charged it would come back on without batter. Any suggestions on what this can be?

When I try to charge the battery, my i-pad says: "charging off", how can I change this, so my i-pad will just start to charge as before, without any complications?
Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons... -
Is it best to fully charge the battery when you first get your laptop
Is it best to fully charge the battery when you first get your laptop?
I remember buying a bluetooth earpiece and I had to do that in order get the most out of the battery due to the memory it has or something like that..
are macbooks the same??I agree. I HATE having to wait for the battery to charge on my new Palms and Macs before using them - I guess GOD teaches us patience in strange ways (hee, hee).

hi. my iphone 3gs was stuck on apple logo, does not charging. when i replace the battery, it works, my promblem not is, in can't or won't read the simcard. i cant activate my phone. even i put att simcard. how can i activate it? please help me. thanks.
Apple recommends backing up the data when you're getting the battery replaced by them. So I assume that you will likely lose the data during this process.
Will the data on my iPhone be preserved?
No, during the service process all data on your iPhone will be erased. Before obtaining service, it is important to back up your data using iCloud or iTunes. Apple is not responsible for the loss of information while servicing your iPhone and does not offer any data transfer service. During service, Apple may exchange your iPhone with an iPhone that is new or equivalent to new in performance and reliability.
Following service, your iPhone may have a newer operating system (iOS) version and you will need torestore your data using the method used to back it up (iCloud or iTunes). As a result, you may also need to update your App Store applications to ensure compatibility with the newer iOS. If you experience a problem with an application purchased from the App Store, check to see if an update is available or contact the application vendor directly.
