Definite bugs in "install_flashplayer14x32au_mssa_aaa_aih.exe"

Note first that I was a senior IT contractor (all my code was bonded) so I do know a fair bit about computers.
There are definitely bugs in the install fil : "install_flashplayer14x32au_mssa_aaa_aih.exe"
I am on FIREFFOX 30, WIN XP PRO SP3
Here was my experience :
* I did not realize my daughter had already installed the update, because the adobe site kept coming up on FIREFOX automatically every time that the browser started (even though flash sites work fine and it was installed properly by her).
* So I ran it. The install claimed (every time) that I do not have enough drive space. This is not the case.
I went on to the page for testing my install ( "http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html" ) which told me
Congratulations, your computer has the latest Flash Player beta
    version installed. ( Your version14.0.0.125 Latest Version12.0.0.77 )
and the flash animation was fine.
However I still kept having the install page on ADOBE come up when FIREFOX started up. I tried (again and again) to use the install :
    "install_flashplayer14x32au_mssa_aaa_aih.exe"
but every single time I got the error about not having enough drive space (I do so - tons)
* so I looked at forum posts and found the bundled install lin ( install_flash_player.exe )
And I used this instead (to make sure all was well)
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe
The version in the properties is 14.0.0.125
This installed perfectly.
- I did not get any error messages telling me I did not have enough drive space
- I no longer to sent off to ADOBE every time FIREFOX starts, with a message telling me I need to update
*  The page "http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html" gives me this feedback :
Congratulations, your computer has the latest Flash Player beta
    version installed. ( Your version14.0.0.125 Latest Version12.0.0.77 )
So, I suggest you fix "install_flashplayer14x32au_mssa_aaa_aih.exe" so that it :
1) knows that the program is already installed (duh)
2) does not tell people they do not have enough drive space when they do

Any rational for this?

  • Experience definition bugs

I migrated the portal from ALUI 6.1 to WCI 10.3.0.
After the migration, all the existing Experience definitions works well, but when I create a new Experience definition, and I login as a user who is part of the Administrative Folder associated with the experience definition the portal displays 2 lines for the banner saying "Welcome,...My Account,...", and also displays 2 menus, one I selected for the Exp definition, and one blue, with orizontal tabs, which looks like the default portal menu.
    Anyone experiencing this bug?
    Thanks!
    Val

    Hi Val,
The current default behavior for creating new my pages uses Adaptive Layouts: "Default Portlet Layout".
So, When you select create "my page", it is recommended that you use the "Classic Layouts", not the adaptive layout.
It not a actual problem unless you mix adaptive layouts and Classic Layouts, where you may see goofy behavior.
You should either subscribe to "classic" or "adaptive layouts".
Unfortunately, there currently is not a way not to set a configurable default layout.
    Cheers!

  • V2.22 BUG in GpibConf.exe V2.2.0.3210

Recently newer versions of NI GPIB drivers have migrated the "Device Template" mappings from the registry to a "GPIB.INI" text file.
However, it appears not enough testing was done with the release version.
The utility that manipulates these settings is called GpibConf.exe. The GpibConf.exe utility adds double qoutes("") arround the all items for any section modified with the utility(ie board or device templates). The original GPIB.INI file that is installed does not have double qoutes arround any item.
The function ibfind() in the Windows 32bit 488.2M Driver does not process the double qoutes as expected. In other words, once any device template is modified by the utility, ibfind() will never find it.
    (Note I am usin
    g Windows XP(SP2) & a PCMCIA-GPIB+)
When will a fix be available?

    Hello,
We have had previous reports of this issue on Windows XP after v2.2 released. This will be fixed in the next version of NI-488.2. Unfortunately, I cannot give a release date at this time. Until then, you can work around this issue in the obvious way: remove the double-quotes around the values in the GPIB.INI file.
I apologize for any inconvenience or unnecessary troubleshooting that this may have caused.

  • Spaces isn't working for me correctly. Definite bug showing up

    Hi,
I waited until I'd upgraded to 10.5.1 just in case this bug had been fixed but it hasn't. It's just the same in this version as before.
What my problem is is that after a short time of using Spaces (I've set 6 in total) the applications disappear from the overview preview. If for instance I have several applications running, each one allocated to it's own space 1, 2, 3, etc. When I hid F8 all but one space shows nothing in them. Even if I then click on the space that say Safari is running in (2 in my case) it's not there. I then to double check switch between applications using the application switching shortcut and suddenly there it appears in the space. This happens consistently with all my applications no matter which space they are allocated to.

Little typo: I typed: "When I hid F8 all but one space shows nothing in them"
But of course I meant Hit F8 not Hid.

  • Error -- 36: DEFINITE BUG

Using Snow Leopard 10.6.2, I copied 5.2g of files in a variety of folders from a FAT32 flash drive to a temp folder on my desktop. I then erased the flash drive so I could use all its capacity on a Windows machine. After erasing the temporary contents, I tried to copy the original contents back to the flash drive and received numerous "Error -- 36" messages. I have never before had any issues with the flash drive.
Like others, I tried a variety of workarounds, copying a folder at a time, using Command-C, Command-V instead of click and drag, opening the folder and selecting all the contents then pasting, etc, etc, etc. Nothing worked consistently, but I was able to force feed, bits at a time, back on to the flash drive.
However, I recently installed Windows 7 via Parallels desktop on a new iMac and was successful in copying all the files -- using iMac hardware and Windows 7 under Parallels, on to the flash drive with NO errors. In my mind, that rules out hardware issues and leaves only the OS.

The following Apple KB document describes error -36 as:
"Type -36 error (I/O Errors (bummers)
This file is having difficulty while either reading from the drive or writing to the drive. The file
may have been improperly written data to the drive or the hard drive or disk may be damaged.
This is almost always indicative of a media error (hard error on the disk). Sometimes (rarely) it is transient."

  • Runtime error in RWRBE60.EXE

is there any bug in RWRBE60.EXE?
When I send a report made in reports v.6i from forms v.6i, appear a message:
RWRBE60 cause an error of invalid page in the module RWLIB60.DLL
This occurr when the mode of the report is character and it send to Dot Matrix Printer, selected with the win_api_dialog.select_printer library and sent it via mode and destype parameter

sorry, I used Mode and DesName parameters (not destype)
I was doing various reports with several parameters and the error appear only when I use 'DESNAME' parameter with the mode character.
    Any body know why?
do I need a patch or something else?

  • Bugs + 1.0.4?

One definite bug and one I'm not so sure.
Definite bug... all songs are (Last Played) tagged with the date/time it is synced, not when the song was actually played.
I use iVolume, meaning the level is set by iVolume. Works 100% correctly on my 80G HD based Pod, but in the week I've owned my shuffle, I'm not so sure. I have had a few quite wide differences from song to song, and yes I have Sound Check enabled in iTunes AND in the Shuffle settings.
This morning, it said there was a new software updates, calling it 1.0.4. What does this address??? Is there some reason that escapes me why there always seems to be so much secrecy about software upgrades...

Perhaps you don't know...but the shuffle has no internal calendar to keep track of date/time a song is played. The phenomenon you describe as a bug is NORMAL behavior.

Dunno... Apple usually says "bug fixes" with no attendant detail. My policy with updates is to wait for feedback from others before applying ("If it aint broke, don't fix it...).

  • Calendar Bug No appointments after 3pm on 27th of March 2008!!!!!!!!!!!

There is no way to enter an appointment beyond 3pm to 4pm for Thu 27th of March 2008. This problem onluoccurs for this specific date! Can someone else please try?
I'm using an iPod Touch 32GB with sw version 1.1.4 (still in jail)
    null

OK, the fact that this worked for others inspired me to change my Time Zone to test. The bug only shows in my Time Zone, which is Amman, Jordan (GMT +2). When I changed to another time zone and the problem went away!
Definite bug as resetting doesn't help. Please try to change your time zone to Amman and see if it happens to you too.

  • SCEP 2012 manual definitions update for use in OSD

So I am setting up to deploy SCEP 2012 4.5.0216.0 during my OSD task sequence. I am following the guidelines laid out by the blog post:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrteam/archive/2012/04/12/operating-system-deployment-and-endpoint-protection-client-installation.aspx.  I have created a package with the scepinstall.exe, EPAMPolicy.xml, and Install.cmd.
Note:  I got the EPAMPolicy.xml from a client I let install SCEP the "normal way" by deploying client settings that said to install and manage the client.
I added to the EPAMPolicy.xml file:
    <AddValue Name="DisableUpdateOnStartupWithoutEngine" Disabled="false" Type="REG_DWORD">1</AddValue>
    Added it between:
    <AddValue Name="AuGracePeriod" Type="REG_DWORD" Disabled="false">4320</AddValue>"I ADDED THE CODE RIGHT HERE"<AddValue Name="SignatureUpdateInterval" Type="REG_DWORD" Disabled="false">8</AddValue>
    The "Install.cmd" contains:
    "%~dp0scepinstall.exe" /s /q /NoSigsUpdateAtInitialExp /policy "%~dp0EPAMPolicy.xml"
So these things together install SCEP 2012 version 4.5.0216.0 and
cancels any definition updates when done installing and when the service first starts up.  When the install finishes the client is RED since I cancelled all updates.  This is WORKING FINE.
Now I have a package that contains the definition updates "mpam-fe.exe" and "nis_full.exe" as described in the linked blog.  Running the proper 32/64 version of the mpam-fe.exe effectively updates the client Anti-malware definitions
to the version I have downloaded for that day.  The client now turns GREEN.  This is WORKING FINE.
The part that is not working is running the Network Inspection Service definitions, "nis_full.exe".  It goes right through like it was fine when run manually, but when you check event log you see it put two errors in Event
Log.  It also is causing my Task Sequence to fail.
I questioned how valid the nis_full.exe was anymore since the blog post is not real new...so I found:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935934.  It is titled, "How to manually download the latest antimalware definition updates for Microsoft Forefront Client Security, Microsoft Forefront Endpoint
Protection 2010 and Microsoft System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection".  I verified by downloading using the links given in that article that my files matched hash for hash.
In that article it does say if running SCEP 2012 to also install the nis_full.exe as administrator.
    This is not working!
Any assistance is appreciated.  Any better way to deploy SCEP during task sequence and definitions WITHOUT scanning for updates during "Install Software Updates" task or letting client go to
    internet?

Using the supplied EPAMPolicy2.xml did not resolve the issue. I still get an "0x80004005" error when I try to deploy the "nis_full.exe" during my task sequence. The client and malware definitions work as intended and install successfully. The NIS definitions
    fail though.

  • Win2000 NoClassDefFoundError running java.exe from DOS prompt

I am using Windows 2000 with J2SE v 1.3.1_02 and have a problem when I run java.exe from the command line for classes that are defined to be in a package. I can both compile and run this program from the TextPad editor but when I run it from a DOS prompt I get the error "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: MyClass"
My CLASSPATH is set to D:\
The files MyClass.java and MyClass.class are in the directory D:\MyProject
    here is the source:
    package MyProject;
    public class MyClass
         public static void main(String[] args)
              System.out.println("MyClass main");
Note that if I comment out the package statement and add "." to CLASSPATH then it runs from the DOS prompt. Why does the program run from inside TextPad but not from the DOS prompt? Seems to be some type of bug in java.exe on Windows 2000 when the keyword package is used.

It turns out that if you use the main method in a class that declares the package statement you need to use the fully qualified name to run the program. Using this statement works for this problem:
    java MyProject/MyClass
the forward slash is required even though is a Windows system.

  • BUG IN IOS???

Hello everybody quick question. A friend had an iPhone 4 and we use iMessage quite a lot. He has recently upgraded his phone to a iPhone 5 and changed his number. When I go to create a message and search his name "Thomas" it appears twice when I only have his number saved once which is his new number. My question is should this happen? Is it once you iMessage a contact and they get a new number on a iPhone or other phone it just stays there as "other" I am confused and just wanted to know should this even happen? As I said his old number doesn't remain in my phone it has been deleted but still yes still appears when I search for his name any answers??? Cheers

I know there is a reply her, but I can't view it when logged in.
How do we get this problem of searching email on the server escalated and fixed?
    It is a definite bug.
    Thanks!
    Alan

  • ICloudDrive.exe keeps waking up my PC

I have my Windows 7 PC set to sleep after being idle for 10 minutes. Since I installed the latest iCloud control panel and enabled iCloud Drive my machine keeps waking up after sleeping for about 10 seconds. The machine then sits there for the 10 minutes specified, sleeps for 10 seconds and wakes up again in this sleep wake loop. After much searching I have discovered that it is iclouddrive.exe that is causing this problem. If I kill the iclouddrive.exe task everything is ok. The machine sleeps until I wake it or one of the scheduler tasks wakes it.
I can leave iclouddrive.exe running, go into control Panel / Power Options / Advance Power Setting / Change When My Computer Sleeps / Change Advance Power Settings / Sleep / Allow Wake Timers and set it to "Disable". The machine sleeps after 10 minutes ok and wakes as normal when the mouse or keyboard is used, BUT no schedules tasks run.
It seems to be a bug in iclouddrive.exe .

This fix would not correct the situation with my PC.  The only thing that works is to complete disable the iclouddrive services, etc.  Hoping that Apple comes up with a fix for this soon.  In the meantime, I have unchecked the iCloudDrive option to prevent it from running on my PC until the bug is corrected.

  • 2.1 RC - Adjustment Brush Bug Persists

While the adjustment brush seem a bit more responsive under 2.1, I regret to report that the brush continues to apply adjustments even after I have released the left mouse button. This usually happens when I'm trying to refine the edge created by my initial selection. I've submitted a bug report to this effect.
As stated in my earlier posts, I'm running LR2.1 on a Vista Home Premium system with adequate processing power for PS CS3, 4 gigs of RAM, and plenty of HD space.
    Adam

I read the release notes. They specifically said they fixed a couple of problems in the local correction area and went on to say:
    >"We are still working on additional methods to improve the performance of the new Localized Correction features."
which indicates to me that they attempted to address some issues but as they did not say what issues were addressed or to what degree wouldn't it be prudent for us to keep reporting all problems that we have with LR2.1RC?
The specific issue reported in this thread may or may not have anything to do with 'performance' but it certainly has to do with the mouse--the mouse up is apparently not acknowledged until about the time the history list is updated so any brush movements between mouse up and the history updating are counted as edits. That is a definite bug and to quote Jeff in another thread about a different bug:
    >Jeff Schewe:"...again you have to understand that MORE bug reports is more better...the more people wh report this as a problem the higher priority it will get. So, vote early, vote often..."
and since the LR2.1RC web site also said:
    >"If you do experience an issue with this release candidate please report it to the Lightroom User to User forum."
where the phrase "User to User forum" is a link to this forum I would think the 'voting' should be done on this forum.

  • [BUG] iOS 6 - BATTERY DRAIN : SIRI Raise to Speak/Proximity Sensor Always On/Flashing When Screen Active

Bug: Raise to Speak sensor for Siri remains on whenever the screen is active - regardless of Siri Raise to Speak Setting (enabled or disabled).
After updating to iOS 6 (via iTunes - not OTA), I noticed that my battery was taking quite a bit of a hit.  Granted I was checking out the new features but aside from a very short call, nothing major in the way of activity.
I had also noticed that Siri sounded quite a bit different with iOS 6 (10A403) than with 5.1.1 (9B206).  Not only did the Siri Voice change but also the responses vary between the two iOS versions.
Example: What is the weather like in Alaska?
    iOS 5.1.1 response:
Here's the forecast for Juneau, Alaska through Monday
    iOS 6.0 response:
Here's the weather for Juneau, AK through Monday (note: Siri does not say "Alaska", instead Siri says 'A-Kay'
With iOS 6, Siri sounds more robotic.  After looking at speech rate settings and comparing between the two versions, I could find nothing different.  I decided to post a video and this is where the Siri bug became interesting and tied into the battery drain with iOS 6.
Remember with 5.0.1 we saw a hit on battery drain and one of the fixes was a fix to the proximity sensor (http://hottipscentral.com/could-siri-be-hurting-iphone-4s-battery-this-little-li ght-might-mean-something/).  Well, it appears this bug is back in iOS 6.  When I went to do the video, I noticed that my 4s had a flashing light near the earpiece.  It remained on continuously.  The only time it would stop flashing was when the phone was locked and the screen inactive.  As soon as I hit the lock button to bring the phone out of lock, the sensor would begin to flash again.
Give it a shot, hold up your iPhone to a webcam and see if your result is the same.
Submitting this to Apple via the feedback form.  Please do the same if you are seeing the same behavior.
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

I dont believe so Amy.  Phone has not sustained any damaging drops nor any liquid spills.  Was not an issue before but I figured I'd post as I believe this is a definite bug.  I neglected to mention that I have my wife's 4s (5.0.1 build) which I am using as a comparison.
Based on the issues folks are reporting with the ambient light sensor, its either the proximity or the ambient light sensor causing the drain.  I've turned auto brightness AND raise to speak both off and the sensor continues to flash as I described in my opening post.
If others can confirm, this will definitely need to be looked at by Apple and fixed.
I just found this - same behavior (posted 7/24/2012 on another forum - source link below).
Hi folks, remember the proximity sensor (always on bug) I reported here in iOS 6 Beta 1 bugs/feedback thread? It continues to happen in beta 3, I reported to Apple and the answer I got from them is that it behaves how it's intended to do
Thing is, when you turn Raise To Speak feature off, and use your webcam (no IR filter) to verify if it turned infrared proximity sensor off, results that it didn't. Since iOS 5 this bug has been present, power cycling, or doing a soft reset solves this issue but this solution does not apply in iOS 6. Don't have an idea on how hard it is on battery draining, but it makes no sense that this sensor stays on forever even when you turn this feature off. Unless it has to do with constantly display brightness adjust feature that we have noticed came with iOS 6 version. Doing some test of this feature (some of you commented about a brightness bug in earlier posts) I noticed that ambient light variations make that display brightness adjust accordingly to brighter or darker ambiences. Previous to iOS 6, the sensor samples the ambient light, and adjusts the brightness; it does this only once--each time you unlock the phone after waking it. Now in iOS 6 you can easily watch how brightness slider adjusts itself when display senses light variations. If you open Passbook app it raises brightness to full (it is supposed to act this way for easy reading of barcodes) but getting out of Passbook app makes that brightness readjusts itself responding to actual ambient light intensity (this adjusting task occurs slowly until brightness slider stops to right level).
I've checked and ambient light sensor and proximity sensor are separate and work differently but if Apple says that an always on proximity sensor in this iOS version is behaving how it is intended to do; all that I could think of is that it has to do with ambient light "sensing"??
