Hi,
Does anybody have a definition of the navigation steps.
Specifically, what is navigation step 1, what is navigation step 2, .............
I feel that I have done a comprehensive search across many sites without having found any specific details.

I have the same kind of problem. In my case, i have the below in rows
Plant_country
Profit Center
Material->display attr ( one display attribute)
Mat_plant-->display attr( one display attribute)
Material_prod_hier
Material_matl_type
Material_division
Mat_plant_mrp_contrl
Mat_plant_0pur_grp
Stor_loc
Stocktype
and whenever I am running the report I see in SM50 /BI0/PMAT_PLANT is being read with report CL_RSDM_READ_MASTER_DATA======CP. for long time ( direct read)
Then another report SAPLRRK0 is taking huge time in reading. But one thing is sure its is reading BWA not the Cube except master data table for MAT_PLANT.
by 30 char object you meant long text /short text?
Dont know what needs to be done to make this particular query faster. Please advise.

Yes, I agree entirely. I'm trying to change it and show people quite how prevalent the problem might be, especially considering I had a corruption issue when trying to clone the database directly related to NOLOGGING. The entire datafile showed signs of corruption, not just the objects which were directly affected.

Retain navigation steps across WAD templates

Hello experts,
I have a web report that is built using several templates. Each template has a tab container (same tabs across the templates) and a sort button. When navigating across the templates, the users want to retain the last template's navigation steps: same tab, same sorting (right now, the default tab and sorting is executed every time the user goes to a new template).
I have buttons that allow users to switch among templates based on TRANSFER_STATE. It works for the tab container but not for the Sort button. The button does not have a parameter that would allow to keep the navigation step. Moreover, there are RRIs in the report, which does not work with TRANSFER_STATE.
Basically, what I need is a way to apply certain commands (go to proper tab, apply proper sorting) when entering a new template, but based on the previous template. I know I can apply javascript functions when executing the template, but how can I retain and retrieve the previous template's last navigation steps?
Any ideas?

You are right: I can switch from a template to another using TRANSFER_STATE in a button and keep the tab and the sorting.
The problem remains with RRI. I have set some query jumps. Users can right click on a row and Goto another template/queries that is filtered for the user's selection (drill down).
Is there a way I can use TRANSFER_STATE in that context?

WAD - Back one Navigation step

Hi All,
Our reports are created on WAD, and we have a requirement to provide the back one navigation step functionality.
When we do any filter criteria on the row fields, then the back one navigation step is working. But when i drag free charcteristic into rows, then back one navigation step is not working.
for ex : first i drag A field which is there in the free characteristics to the row in the report level
and then drag B field in to the row. now if i click back one navigation step, B field should go from the report and A field should be available in the report.

1. Creation of Info Objects
u2022 In left panel select info object
u2022 Create info area
u2022 Create info object catalog ( characteristics & Key figures ) by right clicking the created info area
u2022 Create new characteristics and key figures under respective catalogs according to the project requirement
u2022 Create required info objects and Activate.
2. Creation of Data Source
u2022 In the left panel select data sources
u2022 Create application component(AC)
u2022 Right click AC and create datasource
u2022 Specify data source name, source system, and data type ( master data attributes, text, hierarchies)
u2022 In general tab give short, medium, and long description.
u2022 In extraction tab specify file path, header rows to be ignored, data format(csv) and data separator( , )
u2022 In proposal tab load example data and verify it.
u2022 In field tab you can you can give the technical name of info objects in the template and you not have to map during the transformation the server will automatically map accordingly. If you are not mapping in this field tab you have to manually map during the transformation in Info providers.

HI, im trying to use a train with a navigationbar, to make a relationship between 3 pages in a step by step process, but I can`t configure the links in the next and previous buttons, if it`s posible, could any body help me ?

FPM get navigation step

Hi Gurus,
I am using FPM GAF to create a roadmap for several different components. 2 of the steps however use the same component but different views. How can I determine which step I am on? I see there is a function get_current_state() but have no idea of how to access it.

When you click on next or previous button - method Process_Event will be called ( present in comp controller ).
This method has io_event, it_interface_views as input.
To find out on which view next button is pressed, you can use the followin code in process_event method.

Steps for free goods, purchase order and sales order

I am just starting to learn SAP and would appreciate it anyone can guide me along with navigation/steps for the below questions:
1) can we create free goods automatically when purchase order is generated?
2) Can we duplicate data from the purchase order to the inputs of sales order?

Hi Experts,
I set Free Goods determination Inclusive Calculation Rule 1=Pro Rata and Cal Rule 2=Unit reference both are working fine.
When trying for cal Rule 3 it gives error message "The system determined free goods with quantity 0 for item 000010
Means for 10Ton of A product 10% means 2To are free. If I apply quantity in multiple of 10 i.e.10, 20 30 free goods are determined, delivery & billing is working well.
But if I apply 25Ton or 38ton, it is not even giving minimum discounts say for 25ton, it should give atleast 20ton equivalent fre goods. I checked in rounding rule OB90 where my company code3000 is giving 10 2 digit for USD currency. I set like this. When I checked pricing for condition type R100 it says requirement 055 not fulfilled. However I have maintained Req 055 & BaseType 28 in pricing procedure.
For cal rule 3 what else setting I should check.

BI-Statistics: How to find out Query/InfoProvider-usage and Nav-Steps

Hi specialists,
I've got some problems to understand the figures in the bi-statistic cubes.
I found a lot information about times needed by objects.
But I didn't find the correct keyfigure yet, that tells me how often a Query was opened and how many Navigation-Step the User has done in that Query. Aggregated this would give me information about how often an InfoProvider has been used.
Could you please gimme a hint where I can find that information?
First I thought that the Keyfigure 0TCTQUCOUNT would provide me (at least a part of) this information.
But a little test showed, that this counter increased by 2 when I opened that query only once.
Even that is not constant. After having opened that Query 5 Times this key-figures reports 8.
I'm a little puzzled - maybe you can help me.
Edit: I'm using BI 7.0. Before 7.0 there existed an Cube 0BWTC_C03 which (depending on help.sap.com) provided exactly the above mentioned information. But it became obsolote in 7.0 and was replaced by the 0TCT_* cubes where I couldn't find that information yet.

One think came to my mind:
The "Manage Aggregates" dialog gives some information about the the number of times an aggregate has been used. Where does this info come from? And is there a similar information for basic-cubes?
