Defisit in Sloc

Dear all,
I had a problem in Inventory Management. For example There is material when i show in MMBE there is 10.000 TO, and closing stock in 30.11.2011 is 8000 TO. When i stock transfer in posting date 30.11.2011 in quantum 6000 TO there is error message "defisit of SL Unrestri. prev 890 TO : xxx-xxx-xxxxx xxxx xxxx ".
How come its happen?how to solve it

hi,
The message indicates that there is deficit in unrestricted stock. There might be some reservations for the material check it.

hi friends, i need advice on getting this report for material with qty and specific sloc with the corresponding Prodn order numbers. in mb51 i could get all these details except the prodn order no. could you advice me please?

to make sure you know how to do this.
In the material document list, hit "Ctrl+F8" on your keyboard.
A window will pop up. Click on the button position and look for "order" in the list of available fields. That should do it.

SLoc of Free goods from main item

Dear Gurus,
I concern how can free goods storage location roll up from main item? Actually, the plant of free goods inherits from main item but not SLoc. So do you have any suggest for my concern? Thks a lot for your help!

   Your question is not very clear ,
In free goods two things you need to rember, whether you are doing 1. inclusive free goods 2. exclusive free goods.
Based on those two   it also calculate on 3 diffrent ways,
      unit rate ,
     pro- rate ,
     whole unit .
it depends on type of free goods you are giving at the time of sales order   based on that system determines the storage location. if you have maintained st.location determination, if not then you can munually select in delivery.

Delivery date in STO b/w sloc

Hi All,
Need your help in understanding the delivery date prposed by SAP in ME21N for document type UB and stock transfer between sloc to sloc with delivery for a plant.
Current stock in MMBE in issuing sloc is 34
Also checked the stock requirement list and the requirement is 2 pc as of now.
Data from config.
1 Shipping point- Pick pack time / load time --route dependent
2. Pick pack time/load time is 0 in route
3. Transportation lead time is 0
4. Transit time is 1 day
5. Planned delivery time is 3 days
6. GR processing time is 1 day.
PO creation date is 5 april 2011
As per the concept I know the below calculation should happen to find out the delivery date.
Assumption: Commited date = material availability date
material avalibility date(5 april 2011 should come but i dont know how 6 april is coming) + transprotation lead time (0 day) + loading time (0)+ good issue(5 april)+ transit time(1 day) + Planned delivery time (3 days)
Delivery date should come as = 9 april but in system its coming as 8 april
some checking rule is also assigned to material in mrp3 view

The delivery date is the date on which we receive goods.The process of delivery date determination is in the moment you enter a material number and hit enter, SAP moves the current date into the delivery date, and depending on planned delivery time of material master it add those days to the current date. If the data entered is sufficient to determine already the info record, then it takes the planned delivery time from there into consideration. Thanking you.

Date when Stock is Posted in SLOC in MCHB table

Hi Friends,
My client has all the materials as batch managed and we wanted a report from MCHB to get qty of stock in each and every stock type and SLOC but we also wanted to know "On which date that stock has been posted in the respective SLOC", I tried using :
1. Created on Date - But it seems that reflects date on which stock was first posted but not the latest date.
2. Last Change - Date here was kind of very close but it is showing 00-00-0000 for many records, so it also doesn't seems to be a correct date.
I know that we can get posting date related data from MB51 and other tables but I have 30,000 materials and I need other details also like SLED, Batch etc which can be fetched only from MCHB, so please let me know which filed to use (or which table) to get Date on which stock shown in MCHB has been posted.
Our main purpose is to identify stock which are lying in SLOC for a long time so that business can clear that stuff.

GR date (Goods Receipt date) would be the date you want from table LQUA .
Use SQVI to merge tables and create a report or...
Easier method:
Run an inv. look up on the bin level (LX03) (by storage type with no bin entered and no zero stock bins checked) and find your old stock by veiwing the TiL (Time in location) or durration.
sort so the oldest is on top and you will see the material that has been in location the longest.
hope that helps (there are MANY ways to accomplish what you want)

Shipping and delivery issue for a Sloc

Hello,
We are maintaining inventory in Multiple Sloc. We don't want to ship from a particular sloc . How to block shipping and delivery for a particular location ?

Material inventory being posted in multiple SLOC at the same time

When the same material is stored in multiple SLOCs and physical inventory counters are trying to enter the count at the same time the system stops them with error- "material is blicked by user xxxx" etc. Please note at this client they do not block materials when being counted.
Is there a way to be able to do this- meaning- multiple people can be entering the inventory count for tha same material at the same time?

this means two person are posting with same material document for the same material this cannot be done.
i mean two users cannot use the same document at the same time, if this is your requriement tell them to use different material document at the same time so that it doesn't over lap. i mean if you have 10 documents let one start from 1 & the other person start from 10.

Reoprder point and replenisshment qty to be 0 with SLOC MRP indicator = 2

Dear PP Gurus,
I want to set in MRP4 view: SLOC MRP indicator = 2, along with reorder point = 0/ blank and replenishment = 0/blank. In MM01 and also through MMSC is gives:
Hard error with details as
"You have decided in favor of storage location MRP (2) for this material. Since separately planned storage location stocks are planned using the reorder point planning technique, a reorder point and a replenishment quantity are required."
Can the hard stop be changed to a warning message only?
Help will be appropriately rewared with points!

if u want to plan storage locations stock seperately( =2), u have to define reorder level and a replenishment quantity.
During a planning run, the system compares the reorder level of storage locations to be planned separately with the stock of this storage location. If available storage location stock falls below the reorder level, a receipt element is created amounting to the replenishment quantity or, if necessary, for a multiple of the replenishment quantity.

Availability check with MRP area at Sloc level

HI We have MRP area at storage location level maintained for materials. Stock exists in the plant in the storage location which is part of the MRP area.
Now when I create STO and try to create delivery for the same, system is giving message 0 stock available and not creating delivery. Material has 02 Avl Chck group.If I deactivate the MRP area in the material master, it allows creation of delivery.
How can I ensure that system creates delivery even though stocks exist in MRP area relevant sloc only in the plant?

I am sure you have already moved on from this issue, but what you mention is a limitation prior to ECC 6. You can not identify on the purchasing document the source sloc of the supplying plant. This is why you can not create the STO between sloc MRP areas. I was told this was resolved in ECC 6.

Automatic Sloc creation...........

I am trying to establish automatic sloc creation for this,
I have done the below configuration in IMG:-
Material Management -> Inventory Management and physical Inventry -> Goods Recipt -> Create Storage Location Automatically
then enable the plant and movement type for the same.
but when I am going to create the GR wrt. PO of the above enable plant, SLoc is not being created automatically.
Can anybody suggest me, any other setting is required for the same.

Create Storage Location Automatically
In this step, you specify whether the automatic creation of storage location data is allowed for goods receipts.
This is advisable if you want to post a goods receipt without having to maintain the storage location view of the material master record in advance.
You have to allow automatic creation per plant first of all. You then have to explicitly allow the creation of storage location data for each movement type.
The storage location data is only created if the quantity is posted to 'standard' storage location stock. It is not created for receipts into a special stock (for example, into sales order stock).
Default settings
The standard system is set in such a way that the storage location data is created automatically for all types of receipts (goods receipt with/ without reference, stock transfers, intial entry of stock balances, reversal of goods issues, etc.).
Activities
1. Enter for each plant whether the automatic creation of storage location data is generally allowed.
2. Specify the movement types for which storage location data is created automatically.

Report showing Total Stock of individual materials and not specific to Sloc

Our requirement is to display the current Stock of every individual material with its description and not Storage location specific..
We dont want the Stock specific to Storage Locations.We need the overall Stock of individual materials.

Question about sloc determination in MFBF and backflush in REM

Dear SAPper,
I just try to read about Repetitive Manufacturing and i came with some confused item.
1. I try to backflush MFBF and i don;t fill the planned order, but the backflush is succedd. Something
strange is my planned order is not decrease:(, so do i have to fill planned order number every time i backflush. Can i backflush anonymous to planned order number and the system derease the planned order automatically in FIFO manner
2. I configure the auto sloc determination and i have set maximum number of split unlimitted.
for example in MFBF i need 50 PC Raw Material
My stock in SLoc 1000 is 40 PCS
My stock in SLoc 2000 is 200 PCS
I configure the sloc determination like this
1. F 1000
2. F 2000
Nut in MFBF component always withdraw from 2000 with 50 (full quantity) although i set maximum number of split maximum
I tried batch determination before and it split.
Did i miss something so the system can split the quantity along sloc automatically

Normally in the rem for backflush just u have to enter the product and qty then system will automatically reduces the planned order.
But in situation if planned order is not reducing then please check ur REM profile in the "control data2" tab
In this which one u have select for the planned order reduction.
2)
Regarding stock determination, create stock determination rule thr' T CODE:OXPS.
Here u have to create stock determination rule first from which storage location material should be picked, depending upon the priority.
Assign this stock determination rule in the material master or in the REM profile "Control data2 " tab.
Then system will automatically pick the material depending upon the stock determination rule.

-Company
-SLOC ;
-SLOC Short name
-SLOC Adress
-Shipped Qty since Apr 2008 from the SLOC.

you have to develope it yourself
You can almost get it with MB51 by specifying plant, storage location and movement type and document date in the selection.
The output is anyway user specific layout.
You will not get the SLOC Adress

Movement Type 313 Transfer SLOC to SLOC Report

Hi,
Is there are report avaialble in SAP that shows Stock in Transfer. I have tried MB5T and a few others and they don't work. Basically I want to transfer stock from 1 SLOC to anothe SLOC in two steps rather than 1 step hence using 313.
When I transfer the stock in MMBE the material is in stock status Transfer (SLOC) which is fine. What i am looking for is a mass report that shows Stock in Transfer so it can be monitored.
Please note I am not using Stock Transport Orders just the movement types.

Transfer posting from Sloc to Sloc

Hi,
We do TF from storage location to storgae location with in the palnt using 311 mov. type against Reservation.It is taking 3days for the stock to receive physically in the receiving storage location.
Now the client wants the stock to be" in transit" till it reaches receiving storage location,for this we can use 313 and 315 movement types.
But client wants to do transfer posting form one Sloc to other Sloc only using "Reservation"
But the system is allowing to create reservation only using 311 but not with 313 movement type.
Kindly suggest me how to do 2 step TF from Sloc to Sloc using Reservation.

Compare the configuration of movement type 311 & 313 will find two differences
1)Reservation category is defined as U for 311 & it's blank for 313.
2)Allowed transaction for movement type for both 311 & 313. For 311 MB21 is defined whereas for 313 MB21 is not defined.
Because of these reason you are not able to create reservation against 313 movement type.
If you want to create reservation against 313 movement type change configuration accordingly by comparing 311 movement type.
