buenos dias a todos y buen año
acabo de comprar un air de segunda mano el cual en un principio venia de serie con el lion,pero el chaval lo actualizo a mountain lion..el tema es que no se de que forma puedo dejarlo como de fabrica para borrar todos sus datos y empezar desde cero con mis datos ..
he intentado crear una usb con el lion,pero no me da paso a borrar los datos ya existentes ...y ahí me he quedado jeje

Any ideas ?This doesn't work for me at all. I tried entering exactly the same information that I used to set up my regular email account and I'm still getting an error message. I even tried switching to using my gmail account and neither one worked. Then it got hung up and had to repair my database! I have a lot of photos on my Mac (thank goodness they're backed up) and I was really sweating it for a moment.
Apple is so easy until it's not. I find this to be really aggrevating and I'm irritated that it hasn't been fixed. In fact I did an online search and someone described this same problem in detail and it was exactly what was happening to me. Same error messages.
I'm frustrated that Apple keeps updating it's operating system and then we go through these glitches.
And while I'm at it, I have never had such a frustrating time using my login information as I have to get into this forum! Why do they make it so difficult? There's just something about the way it's worded that get's me messed up every time. Meanwhile, at least get iPhoto fixed! -

You must have at least a Late 2006 Core 2 Duo model 2,1 MacBook.
Lion will require at least 2gb of RAM but really needs 4gb to run smoothly.

Also Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Lion.
Before Mac switched to Intel processors in 2006 they used Power PC processors from 1994 to 2005. Power PC 601 through 604, G3, G4 and G5. Applications written for the Power PC processors need the application called Rosetta to run on Intel processors. This was part of the Operating System in 10.4 and 10.5 but was an optional install in 10.6. With 10.7 Lion Apple dropped all support for Power PC applications. -

Restart your mac in Safe Mode by holding down the 'shift' key while it powers up. You'll know if you've entered Safe Mode correctly if you see a progress bar underneath the grey Apple logo screen. Let go of the shift key when you see that, wait for the progess bar to complete then log in.
After log in, go to
> System Preferences... Users & Groups and remove everything from the 'Login Items' tab.
If you have any anti-virus software installed (Sophos, F-Secure, VirusBarrier, Mackeeper) uninstall it while in Safe Mode.
Restart your mac normally and test.

I have installed mountain lion on my macbook pro ,but it made my mac very slow. Would someone please tell me how to uninstall this one and reinstall snow leopard? I tried to do it by my original CDs but macbook pro didn't let me to do it.

Please read this whole message before doing anything. This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it. Step 1 The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account. Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.” While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin. Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem? After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it. *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs. When you purchase Mountain Lion, you can install it as many times as you want on all your computers for free. To install it on the desktop, open the App Store, go to Purchases tab and download OS X Mountain Lion.
Another option is to redownload it on the MacBook, put the installer onto a USB drive and connect it to the desktop in order to upgrade -
I've just installed Mountain Lion on my Macbook pro and cannot now open Preview. I've partly solved the reading of PDF documents by installing Adobe Reader, but Preview is also stalling the log out process. Any suggestions how I might solve this annoying trait would be most appreciated. Many thanks.

Issue is when i tried to save the presentation on MBA Keynote 09 - Keynote crashed.
I tried to save is as Powerpoint in MBA and it crashed as well!

I have an Epson scanner that is apparently no longer supported because it is a PowerPC app. It's a very good scanner that worked fine until I upgraded to OS Mountain Lion on my MacBook Pro. Any suggestions on how I can continue to use it?

Please google search for "Mountain Lion disk crash" before upgrading you mac pro. You might need to replace you Mac hard drive after the upgrade.So many people had the same problems including me.
Be aware of the Mountain Lion upgrade problem. -

As a rule the Mac App Store won;t let you buy and download Mountain Lion if your hardware doesn't support it, so the first question is did you get ML from the MAS?
If so then what procedure are you following to install the OS? You wrote that
