Delay in reflecting changes to Org structure

Hi,
I have created one report to display the Staff Contact details using query. The query makes use of the logical database PNPCE. Whenever there is any change made to the org unit of any employee, that is the position of the employee is changed from one org unit to another, then it keeps reflecting in the previous org unit for quite some time and then is reflected in the new org unit.
However in PPOME_OLD, it can be seen in the new org unit.
Can anyone please let me know how this can be remedied, that is whenever the change is made, it should be reflected in the new org unit (through the report) immediately without any delay.

Thanks for the reply. When the query is run by any manager, the query fetches the contact details (it0002 and it0006 details) of the employees reporting to him. However when one person is shifted from his org unit to any other org unit,then that person continues to be in the prev manager's report (all ohter details like it0001) for about 3 to 4 days and then the change occurs.
In the selection field, i have the normal selection screen for the LDB PNPCE (no value is entered) and two more fiels :
Employee Status (3 - active) and Adress Record type (1).
The value of these fields do not change....
Can you please tell me how to check which field is not getting updated?

What to do incase of new change in Org Structure while using indirect assig

This is my first post in this forum and I hope I will get the right answer.
We have implemented the indirect role assignement and now we are in the process to set the process incase of any change in the Org Structure.
Option 1)
Me as a security engineer I have decied to have the following process:
HR has moved an employee from position to position > HR will inform the SAP Security Engineer about the new change > SAP Security Engineer lock the user and send the new list of roles for the employee to the mananger and process team lead for approval > mananger and process team lead can either approve the request or suggest new changes > then the SAP Security Engineer will do the changes i(if any) and then unlock the user.
Option 2)
One of the Process Team Leads is suggesting that we assign the roles to the positions once, get it approved and then whatever happen we don't care.
Please let me know what is the best way, and I am sure the first option is the best but a lot of manual work.
I hope to get good response on this and I hope if there is supported document from SAP.

In addition to Julius comments, I like to add the following base on our current security design.
We have something similar to option #2 in place. We have HR base security by positions. We made sure the business owners of the security roles are aware of the security role to position mappings. We have a matrix of security to position mappings that has been approved by the business owners. Exceptions are address in the form of a Help Desk ticket.
In this example all managers will get a set of roles. The clerks will also get a set of roles. Again these will be pre-approve role to position assignments.
Position: Manager
Assign Role: Z-GL-MANAGER & Z-AP-MANAGER
Position: Clerk
Assign Role: Z-GL-CLERK & Z-AP-DISPLAY
Option #1 - It's too much work and you are assuming that all the players involve on the business process will follow through, from notification of move, to approval, and more notification, etc.
As long as the business owners are aware and understand how position base security works option #2 is the way to go. Of course we have other procedure in place before handing out security credentials, from submitting an SAP access form to mandatory training, etc. We currently do not have the man power to have option #1 in place.

Changing name in Org structure - central person

I have got request for name change in SRM. So, i have changed the name details in SU01 and it is not reflecting at central person. I even tried to edit but it was of no use.

How to get PNP Org Structure to reflect the org structure as of key date?

I created a custom program using the PNP logical database. I defined a custom report category indicating the selection period = employee selection period and allowing org.structure. Im also using the standard SAP PNP_DEFAULT selection view.
Inside my ABAP I initialize the pnpbegda and pnpbegps to reflect 20060930. Upon Execution the key date reflects 09/30/2006. I click on the org.structure button. The org.structure displayed reflects the one as of today rather than as of Sept-30.
During run debug I see that the RP_PNP_ORGSTRUCTURE program, LRPPNU11, calls function 'RH_TYPE_STRUC_HELP' to get the org.structure. The call to this function passes 09/30/2006 for the begda and endda, but it still returns the latest org.structure. I did some playing with this function and found that if I also pass the ACT_SEARCH_WEGID as ORGEH it works.
Any idea on how I can get the LRPPNU11 program to pass the ACT_SEARCH_WEGID or the subsequent called functions to process for ORGEH?

I use javascript to get some information such as position, sytle of each elements and then pass these to javafx. So the besides the dom tree, I can get more information about elements.
I need to pass them back to javafx.
if node support setUserData, I can associate them to each Node/Element. But webkit don't support this feature.
BTW, If javascript pass a object to javafx. it can only deal with primary types such as string, numeric. But I need pass back a complicated javascript object like:
{name:"parent", children:[{name:"child1"},{name:"child2"}]
I can use (String)JSObject.getMember("name"); and JSObject children=JSObject.getMember("children");
but I can't cast children to Object[] or JSObject[].
so I have to use some tricky to convert Javascript Object to json string and then in javafx convert it back to Object tree.

In SU01 I can manage first and last name (what appears in column "Staff assignment" in Org Structure) but not that field.
I can not see that field in t-code BP either.
I need to change the value that appears in column "Code" in CP line. Any clue?
I expected to see the User ID here.

Org Structure changes ..!!!

Hi all ,
At present we have designed Zones as Plants i.e ( West Zone = 1000 , North Zone = 1001 , East Zone = 1002 & South Zone = 1003 ) and also created Purchase organization as per Plant wise ( i.e 4 Zone = 4 Purchase org )
Now company org structure has changed to Subzones i.e West Main Zone having 2-3 Subzones like W1 ,W2, W3 and same for all the main Zones..
How we can design the system for Subzones which is assigned to Main zones
( Wether we need to create Subzone as Plant if so how we can assign to Main zone ( a present defined as plant )

HR Org structure delta changes not replicating to SRM

Dear All,
We recently found out for some unknown reason new HR postions and users and HR org structure re-assignments are not replicating down into our SRM org strucure.
We have implemented SRM 4 on Server 5.5. The HR system is running on ECC4.
Does anybody have an idea what is causing this and how to fix this?
We need to get delta replication working in our production environmemt ASAP.

From your post I assume that you already transferred initial organization structures from HR. Is that correct?
Update will use the same filters and number ranges that you have for initial load. As for attributes, I am checking that also, but do not think that you will loose it.

Sending mail to a particular positon in org structure via workflow

hi all
i have a problem regarding sending mail to particular position in org structure on runtime execution via workflow so that i neednt hard court the particular position
to achieve this i am using expressions,first i have created a new container element and then i have used container operation like this:
(lead.employee responsible.business partner= container element defined by me)
when i first try to execute the workflow and test it ,in the container i am getting the value of the container element in which i have the position where i have to send the mail.but inspite of value getting populated ,when i am using that container element to send mail like:
expression: container element
the mail is not send,when i checked the log it is mentioned that " you are not the authorised person to stsart the workflow and start failed" but workflow is still triggered and i am able to pass the object but not able to send the mail.
please tell me is there any feasible way to achieve this,like rule or in my way how is it able to achieve
detailed possible solution will really be appreciated.on thing we are working on CRM 5.0 standalone system

Follow this ,
Goto PFTC -> Choose "Workflow Template" from the drop down -> Enter the workflow template id "123********" in the text box -> now click on "change" button -> Now goto the menu addional data -> agent assignment -> maintain -> select the task text -> and set it as general task.
I guess you have done the same for the standard task TS*********** but failed to do it for the workflow template (WS123*************). Or have you done it already?
Also once you make this change "Refresh your buffers" once before checking it out.

Error while creating Org structure     Message no. BBP_LOCATION009

Iam trying to build an SRM6.0 with backend as R/3 4.7
I have replicated the plats from back end with report BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_FROM_SYSTEM
On errors rectified the same and finally, SLG1 report shows no errors.
But still noticed that T77S0 table entry with GPID=EBP, SEMID= LMIGR is not set to X (Refer note 563180)
Due to the above problem while creating org structure when I click on Att inheritence or Extended attributes Locations tab,
I get the message:
Start program BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL first (see Note 563180 and long text)
         Message no. BBP_LOCATION009
Diagnosis
    You tried to call a program that uses a location. The locations have not
    yet been replicated.
System Response
    The current program has been terminated.
Procedure
    Start the program to replicate the locations. You can find more
    information in SAPNet in Note .
Procedure for System Administration
You can disable this message by starting table maintenance (SM30) for
table T77S0. Change the entry EBP/LMIGR to "X". Note that the system
cannot supply certain information if the locations are not replicated.
Locations that do not exist can be deleted during attribute maintenance.

are you working with multiple backend systems?
can you retry downloading the plants with the report
BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL
and then give the logical sys name as yr present backend?

SRM HR Org Structure - error in EBP User

We are on SRM 4.0 (EBP 5.) and have replicated our R/3 org structure. We run a nightly batch job that updates the org structure in SRM with any changes made in R/3. Some users are unable to use SRM due to not being replicated properly into SRM. When you view the org structure via PPOMA_BBP - Change Attributes Check there are two STOP signs - with the following error messages
STOP   BBP Error in EBP User xxxxx
STOP   HR/ALE Verteilung ist aktiv. Verteilen Sie die Benutzerdaten neu.
When I translated the German error message, it translated to
HR/ALE Distribution is active.
Redistribute the user data.
How do I redistribute the user data to correct the problem so the users can use SRM again?
Also, where can I change the german transaction into English.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Jan,
     Follow these steps in R/3
1. Go To PA20. Check the Personal ID for the user for whom it shoots an error
2. Go To PFAL. You might have to use a variant for this transaction. Feed the User's Personal # and the target system.
This will push an IDOC from R/3 to SRM with the org data
     Follow these steps in SRM:
1. Go to SE38 and execute this report RBDAPP01
This report will process the incoming IDOC to the Org Structure in SRM

Org Structure not updating in CRM Correctly

Hi Experts,
We have an issue with their ALE transfer of the HR Org Structure (from the HR box) to the structure in the CRM box.
It is (apparently) randomly not updating certain details. Org units and their relationships which are changed in ECC are not getting replicated into CRM. The relations with the parent node are not flowing to CRM in most of the cases.
e.g. a position change won't come or new org assignment.
Every time we are pulling using PFAL for missing relations and new assignments but client is not happy with the persistent issue.
Can anyone give me any assistance on what else I should be looking at to troubleshoot random missing data in the ALE process?

Org structure issue

Hi,
I have a question related to an org structure issue. Let me explain by taking an example:
The Org set up we have goes like this, let A1 be the VP of a particular division, he has a director B1 reporting to him. B1 has four different employees C1, C2, C3 and C4 reporting to her. The interesting part here is, C1 and C2 belong to a different cost center (say CC1) and C3, C4 belong to a different one (CC2). Both CC1 and CC2 are managed by B1. The tricky part is CC1 comes under the VP 'A1' while CC2 does not have any supervisior above. B1 is the final supervisor.
The problem is, when I run the Org report to find all the employees coming under A1, C3 and C4 also show up. How to correct this?
In our system, the org structure is driven by position of the employee and not by the cost center. However we have an relationship record (A011) in HRP1001 between the Org unit of the employee and the cost center but it does not serve the purpose because B1 is placed in one cost center CC1 and manages the other cost center CC2 too. Since she can be in one cost center at a time say CC1 there is no record pertaining to CC2 for her.
How to resolve this? what kind of config change needs to done?
Any leads or suggestion would be helpful.

Hi,
You can define your organization structure except the cases you have exceptional .
For the exceptional Objects create them in Expert mode and maintain infotype 1001 depending upon the requirement.

Org Structure selection disappear

Hi,
Just wondering, did anyone came across this problem...
I am creating a report using a HR Report Category which allows me to do selection by Org Structure. The Org Structure selection is thru' a button that appears together with Futher Selection of HR Report Category.
1. Upon selecting a Org Unit via Org Structure I clicked the tick to accept my selection.
2. The Org Structure button has a Green shade on it.
3. I reenter Org Structure again by clicking the Org Structure button again.
4. This time instead of clicking the tick to accept selection, I click the cross on the right top side of the window to close the window without making any changes to my selection in Org Structure.
5. It turn out all selection has been removed from Org Structure (Green shade disappear)
Hope anyone who has come across this issue can provide me with a solution to have the selection retain despite me clicking on the cross at the top right of the org structure window.

It is Std functionality.. when you close the popup window it amounts to 'cancelling the selection & the 'ticks' are clared.. I don't think you have an easy workaround here.. PL take a look at the code insde the function module RP_PNP_ORGSTRUCTURE & you will understand the situation better. thios is where the selection is cleared out..
