Delaying to get the sap login screen

Hi all,
I am facing one strange problem and unable to understand it.
When i run startsap all command, it is executing very successfully.
But the problem is that when i try to log in to the system from sap gui it takes a very long time around 15 minutes with "waiting for response" status and then sap screen comes up.
when i try to login with username and password again it takes some time to get the session_manager screen.
In sm04 screen i do find around 6 to 8 sapsys users with type http plugin and client 000, after half an hour these are logged off automatically and system starts running smoothly as usual.
This happens only when i do restart the sap system.
Details,
os- hp unix
db- oracle 10g
release - 700
Need your precious suggestion and help.
Thanks and Regards,

Hello,
>> In sm04 screen i do find around 6 to 8 sapsys users with type http plugin and client 000, after half an hour these are logged off automatically and system starts running smoothly as usual.
I have seen that situation on some of our 7.00 system too.
I was also not able to login and have seen (from dispmon), that the wps running some programs of SAPSYS.
But i have these situations only after some kernel upgrade.. i have rebooted the sap system and after that it worked fine and never seen this again.
Really strange.. but i have also no solution.. i have only rebooted the system and it worked for me..

What exactly is the version of Skype installed on your computer? In Skype go to Help -> About Skype.
Does the login screen look like this one?

  • SAP Login screen - keyboard shortcut not working

Part way through an SSO rollout (Imprivata Onesign) and have come across one terminal server that is not behaving as normal ie keyboard shortcut control+i does not position the cursor in the Client field on the SAP login screen. Instead it is treating the key combination as a standard Tab.
Has anyone come across this before or can anyone suggest how to diagnose.
I have checked the registry and there doesn't appear to be any custom keyboard shortcuts defined.

  • Why do I get sent to the User Login screen to enter my password after sleep?

    Hi,
On OSX Lion, 10.7.4. I recently had to reinstall the OS on a new hard drive in my iMac and now have an issue with it that I never had before.
After prolonged periods of sleep (I haven't determined what the minimum length is before this will happen), when I come to wake the computer it shows me the User Login screen. Under my user icon is an orange checkmark, presumably to show that I am the user logged in. Otherwise it is exactly the same as the User Login screen one gets when the computer boots up. I select my user icon and enter my password and the computer unlocks.
I haven't got this set up anywhere, that I know of. I don't have the 'Security & Privacy - Require password for sleep and screen saver' option checked, never have. If I do turn that on just to check, it's a very different password screen, a little popup window in the centre of the dimmed screen.
How do I turn this feature off?
    Thanks,
    Owen

Sounds like you may have deleted something you shouldn't have. Boot to an OS X DVD or a bootable backup, and using Disk Utility, do a repair disk, and while there repair permissions. Disconnect any peripherals, and reboot. If you get the same startup behavior, do a safe boot, by holding the shift key down when booting. If that works, try a normal boot. If neither step helps, you may need to relaod your operating system.

  • I updated my iMac to lion and now when i leave my desktop and it goes into stand by it like a picture is taken of the screen and when i want to log in the mouse point removes pixels so i can get to the user login screen this never happened ith snow leopar

i upgraded my iMac to lion and now when i leave my desktop and it goes into stand by mode, its like a picture is taken of the actice desktop and when i want to log in the mouse point removes pixels so i can get to the user login screen this never happened ith snow leopard. does anyone else experience this and is there a fix?

I have an iMac 8, 1 that I upgraded Leopard to Snow Leopard.  It was totally updated with the latest from Apple when I bought and tried installing Lion.  The upgrade failed, shot my OS and I couldn't boot.  Had the constant spinner on a grey screen..  did a format of the drive, hdd repair and everything came back clean... got back to Snow Leopard and all the updates on it again and then retried the Lion thing... same bs... dead duck.  Crashed my system one too many times.  I can't see where a few small changes, mostly app related can be classified as an OS upgrade and is not compatible with my iMac.  I have the stuff running on my Mac Pro but have yet to notice anything impressive.  I've always used F3 and really didn't require Mission Control.  Just open you app folder for launch pad... duh?  I use the hot corners anyhow.  As far as Safari is concerned... as a power user, Apple missed the boat on that for me.. full screen etc.. Wow.  I don't like the new Mail either..
As you can see/read, I'm less than impressed with this release from Apple but I own so many of their products that I will have to put up with it for now... somehow the MS logo should apply to this release Steve.

You can take some of the steps here, #4, #5 or even trying a #18
Step by Step to fix your Mac
but I suspect your going to first have to create a data recovery drive
Create a data recovery, undelete boot drive
to get your data off the machine,
then do a #20 to eliminate the bad sectors as that's why your getting the "pinwheel" it's getting a delay reading from the drive, right when your trying to log in too, what a bad spot for it to happen.

  • Message on SAP login screen

    Hi all,
How to add a system message on the SAP logon screen.
I just want to put display some content and links on screen where we enter client and username and password.
    regards,
    helpful answers are surely rewarded.

    Hi,
Personalization of your SAP system  logon screen, splash screen etc
    1) Adding text to the SAP logon screen. This is very handy for identifying which SAP system the user is about to log onto, especially non production boxes. You can also warn them here of pending changes, updates or outages. Because it is up while they are typing in their userid and password, they can't claim they missed the system message. SAP icons like the stop sign and warning signs can also be displayed. Details can be found in OSS note #205487. Here are the guts:
Go to Transaction SE61 and select the document 'General text' (selection via F4 help), and create a text with the name ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO in the language defined with profile parameter zcsa/system_language.
If the text does not exist in the system language, no output is made.
Note that there is space for 16 lines with 45 fixed-font characters each or for approximately 60 proportional space font characters on the logon screen.
Title lines (can be recognized by means of format keys starting with a 'U') are highlighted in the display.
You may also output icons at the beginning of lines by using an icon code (for example, @1D@ for the STOP icon). You can get a list of icon codes from Report RSTXICON. Pay attention to the codes with two '@' symbols displayed by the report. You cannot include text symbols. The 'include indicator' cannot be used for this function. SUBHINT here. These can be used on system messages as well.
Creating/changing this text requires a changeable system. Therefore, for production systems, SAP recommends maintaining the text in the upstream system and then transporting it. To do this, select a transportable (customer) development class when you create the text and save the active version prior to the export. The transport is done via the transport object R3TR DOCT ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO The text can be changed in the original system only (see TADIR entry R3TR DOCT ZLOGIN_SCREEN_INFO). When making a change in a non-original system, a modified text would be generated which cannot be represented sensefully on the initial screen.
    2) Changing the splash screen on the main menu can add some pizzazz to the otherwise boring screen. It can also be changed easily on a regular basis. For production systems a company logo and/or company mission statement might be appropriate. Here are the instructions:
First, in transaction SMW0 (SAP Web Repository), select "Binary data for WebRFC applications. The logo must be in a .gif format. From this transaction, create a new object, then choose to IMPORT. You must then specify the path to the .gif object you have saved, and select the option to TRANSFER.
Then, maintain table SSM_CUST via SM30. Change the field START_IMAGE to the name of the object you created in SMW0.
    3) Changing the rippling water on the top right on all is easy but tedious and requires no change to the SAP system. The file name is 'sapalogo.bmp' and resided in the directory "SAPpcsapguithemesdefault". Looking at this file you can see how it works. Use an editor like Paint and replace each of the SAP ripple images with a morphing image of your own. Make sure the new image is the same size as the original. There are 33 images in the original but you don't need that many. One idea for a morphing image would be to take your company logo and have it build its way across the screen and then off again.
    4) Changing the startup movie is even easier. Replace the file 'sapss.avi' with a short avi of your own. This file resides in the same directory as 'sapalogo.bmp
    Pls reward points,
    Regards,
    Ameet

  • Can't get rid of login screen on initial startup.  Any Idea's?

I have an iMac with a 21.5 inch screen, recently upgraded to Lion.  The problem is when I power up in the morning I get a grey screen wanting my password, and below that, the option to sleep, restart or shutdown.  If I restart, it comes right back to the login grey screen.  If I enter my password, it will open up to the normal blue galaxy screen, but doesn't recognize my audio interface.  So I have to restart again and everything is fine.  I only get the grey login page on the initial startup.  I called an Apple technician and he couldn't solve the problem.  I am the only person using my computer, so I dont need to login everyday.  I also re-installed Lion to no effect.  Anyone have any idea's?  login at startup is un-checked.  Thanks!

System Preferences->Users & Groups->Login Options->Automatic Login (then choose your account name in the menu)
If you're sure it's set that way...
Try creating a new user account and setting Automatic Login to log in to that account. Does it bypass the login screen now? If so, the problem is with your primary user account.

  • After FileVault I get a white login screen

    Hi
After i enabled FileVault 2, I get a white login screen instead of a normal login screen.
Is it possible to change it back to normal?
    thx!

That's completely normal and it's not possible to change it. That's because your Mac asks you for your login password before loading OS X because the whole hard drive is encrypted

  • Suppress the UCM login screen

    Hi,
We are going to implement Single Sign On (SSO) using SAML. We can not use UCM login screen.
So Is it possible to Suppress the UCM login screen?
    ~Hari

    Hi
As Kent mentioned with UCM 11g will use WLS security realms for doing all the security authentications .
In case of OAM / SSO (OID 10g case) steps needed were :
    1. Create the SSO provider on WLS security realm . For eg if it is 10g SSO then it is SSO Provider and if it is OAM then OAMIdentityAssertor.
    2. Create the identity store provider ( like LDAP authenticator , OID Authenticator etc) on WLS security realm .
Both these providers should be set to flag Suffiecient .
SSO provider should be the first in list .
Identity store provider should be second .
DefaultAuthenticator should be set to Sufficient as well so that users from identity store get the right set of security access .
After these 2 steps restart WLS and UCM server . Verify that JPS provider is showing status as good .
    Hope this helps .
    Thanks

  • When I turn on messages, I can't see my messages.  All I can see is a screen with horizontal lines and a text list of addresses.  How can I get the regular message screen back?

When I turn on Messages, I can't see my messages.  All I can see is a screen with horizontal lines.  How can I get the regular Messages screen back?

The same is happening for me. Today I decided to reboot my PC because it was acting up a bit, go figure, and then for some reason at the same time the PC was restarting my macbook froze. I had to do a reboot with the restart button but then all that came up was a gray background and in the middle of the screen was a darker gray folder with a white question mark in the middle of it, blinking. I can't imagine why the restart would've affected my macbook. After finding information on how to fix this, I tried all of the steps that were given about using the mac OS X disk to use the first aid utility to fix it. When using the Disk Utility option whenever I select my hardrive and am in the First Aid tab, the only button I can use is the Verify Disk Permissions. The other three buttons, and namely the most important Repair Disk button, is/are not selectable (grayed out). I then tried resetting the PRAM the way they also said with the command + option + P + R and waited for the second startup sound. After that I gave the Disk Utility a second try, but still nothing. And now if I try to just reinstall the OS completely I can't even select a destination volume on the third step (Select Destination). Apparently this means i'm SOL.

  • I'm getting the kernal panic screen when I put in DVD

My iMac G5, 2 GB has been slow, and occasionally getting the "restart your computer" screen. I ran the Apple Hardware Test on it twice. It passed both times, so I decided it must be software. I proceeded to do a clean install of the OS. Now I'm getting the Kernal Panic screen just as the computer recognizes the disk and is about to launch the installer. I've been reading the forums on Kernal Panic. Could be RAM memory. But could it also be the optical drive if its slow to spin at first?
What info on the "Panic" screen would tell me where the problem is?

Your title is a little confusing; are you getting the message ONLY when you put a DVD in, or does it also happen when starting the computer up?
If it's the DVD, is it the OS DVD? Are you sure you are using a PPC DVD and not an Intel DVD? I recall the same panic screen on my own G5 1st gen when I mixed up my Intel DVD with my PPC DVD.
The first line of your panic (panic(cpu 0 caller 0x002DEC28): Unable to find driver for this platform: "PowerMac12.1") was very similar to mine, except mine had "panic(cpu 0 caller 0x002DEC28): Unable to find driver for this platform: "PowerMac8.2"
