DELETE 0SOURSYSTEM in COMPOUNDING

Hi all,
I need to delete Source System compounding from 0CUSTOMER, however 0SHIP_TO , 0SOLD_TO etc are referenced by 0CUSTOMER thus not letteing me delete the compounding. Any suggessions?

i deleted all the data in 0CUSTOMER in SE14. however it tells me that i need to delete the compunding in all reference objects together. how can i delete all of them together?

Master data deletion - text with compounding

HI All,
I have " 0PYMT_METH" Info object which is having "0PYMT_METH_TEXT" Data source. " 0PYMT_METH" Info object is having text and 0country with compounding attribute.
- First , I did not load this master data , I loaded transactional data. so some values for key are loaded without text and country in master data.
- Later i came to know we need text for paymnt method, then i loaded again master data. but i am not able to delete previous entries which have blank text.
-i deleted data with SIDS and deleted all the transactional data , still i am getting that entries with blanks.Because of this in report output i am getting # value for the text.
How to solve this? Is it because of compounding attribute ? If so can u please suggest regarding this ASAP?

Hi,
Please check the data load for the text as you must be loading
MAster Data CHAR , Country , LANGUAGE and TEXT as fields in your data source.
As the Text can be over written so if the porper key fields are matched the text should be modifyed everytime.
SO please check what combination you r loading .
ANyway if that is one time , and very less data you can manually maintain th text for master data .
In order to delete teh data you use SE14 use the text table there to delete the data. PS : This is not recommended solution .

Clips deleting themselves in Compound Clips

I have been editing compound clips and when I get half way through i notice early clips in the timeline are missing. So if there is clips ABCD in a connected clip, it will be now AC and the other clips are now gone. I've pressed undo until i saw when they were deleted and it seems when i'm selecting clips later in the timeline it selects earlier clips and deletes them with the clips i want to delete. This is causing a major headache as it seems to be random, I can't replicate it on demand, but it happens eventually in ever compound clip I create. I haven't noticed it while editing a project. Any idea what is going on would help.

Deleting Multi Cam & Compound Clips- Help!

How can you delete multi cam clips from an event? Am I missing something? How can one type of clip be undeletable? It makes the whole event undeletable?
I've duplicated my project & used clips only which has now created a new event with only the used clips, great! So I'd like to delete the old event with all the original media and I can't

Thanks for taking the time out to reply,
But that means that you can never delete an event... ever if it contains a single multi cam, how do you get around that?
The whole reason I wanted to delete the event in the first place is because I'm trying to archive a project with the clips used only. So now I have two events, one with all the original stuff and one with just the select few clips. I think I'll go into more detail with this on the other thread about this since you've just tackled that one also.

Deleting a Compound Clip from Finder

Hi,
I edited a couple of compound clips earlier this week and ever since then whenever I open FCPX it takes 30+ minutes to load the event and start up. At first I thought the problem was the size of the event, so I deleted some unused media and made it about half the size. Still, the load time remained the same. Now, after sitting through an hour of waiting for FCP to open, I'm trying to delete the two compound clips I edited right before the load time problems began, thinking perhaps one of them is corrupt and causing the ridiculous load time. However, whenever I try to do anything in Final Cut I get a "working" rainbow wheel that never seems to go away until I force quit, and if I do that I have to sit through another painfully long start up load time.
So basically FCP takes forever to open, then forever to do any action, even something as simple as copy and paste, when this event is loaded.
Is there a way to delete compound clips from the Finder WITHOUT opening FCP?
I am using FCP 10.0.9 on an iMac with a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 processor and 32gb of memory, running OSX 10.8.5.
Would appreciate any help!

If you want to get rid of the compound clips and you have used them in your project, you'll have to first trash or hide the project. Then open the app and you should be able to delete the compound clips. Close the app and move the project back to its original location.
If it's still slow to open, it's also possible that you have some bad render files. Turn off BG Rendering and delete both project render files and event render files.

Source system (0SOURSYSTEM) ID in flat file ODS.

Please assist with the following?
I created transfer rules for a flat file load to the ODS and the 0SOURSYSTEM is compounded with another characteristic. I have assigned a 'constant' ie. "PF" to 0SOURSYSTEM. I changed the constant later on to ie. "DT", deleted the data from the ODS and PSA and then reloaded the file. The active data will still show the 0SOURSYSTEM as "PF".
How to I get it to show 0SOURSYSTEM "DT"?

Hi,
Already the request is loaded and it is activated. So the data is available in the active data table.. U have changed the constant in update rules.... It will change to the newly coming records. If u want to populate this to the historical data also then do a selfload to that DSO. Depending on the Keyfields the data will get overwrited.

Our main process is to migrate sql server 2000 database to oracle 11g and I am stuck with the triggers that reference to table that fires the trigger itself.
Can you help me about how i can overcome mutating table errors using compund triggers? Espacially for the situation that one statement tries to update or delete multiple rows on a table.
You can understand my logic from the above code. I want to hold all the affected rows in a table and in after statement body using a cursor on that table I want to do required changes on the table. How can I do that or how should I do ?

Using compound attribute

I have to extract data from 2 source systems and load into BW infoobject, i have to show which data is coming from which source system. i am giving u the procedure i done below plz tell me if anyting is wrong
I have same R/3 source system with different clients like 010 and 110, i have created generic datasources ZGDS_SALMESMAN1 and ZGDS_SALESMAN2 in both of the clients with fields SMID, NAME, AGE, ADDR, PHONE and given same values. now i have replicated the datasources into my BI. i have created one Char Infoobject SMID and attributes name, age, addr, phone.
now we have to assign 0SOURSYSTEM as compound to my Char Infoobject SMID, is it correct. can u please tell me how to do rest of the things step by step, and also like to know how to extract data

You don't need compounding for this. It is possible to create a global transfer routine for the infoobject. In RSD1, you can create this routine. In this routine the name of the source system will be available, and you just have to concatenate it with the incoming characteristic value. The advantage of this approach is that you will not have to write the code to handle the source-system name separately for every datasource.

Inserting Into MYSQL Table Via Air/PHP = Not Allowed?

I'm having trouble inserting data into my mysql database tables through my air app. All the code is pretty much exactly the same as in some examples I've seen but it simply won't do it. Is this because of some sort of security restriction because the air app is on my machine and the server with my mysql database on is elsehwhere? Or is it possible to insert data via an air app?

You will have to use a common identifier, eg:
give each row in your database an ID.
then pass that ID value on the button press to a PHP script, which does something like:
$deleteID = $_POST["delID"];
mysql_query("DELETE FROM exampleTable WHERE ID='$deleteID
maybe check that a row with that ID exists first for verification, then pass back a value indicating if removal was a success or not.
You can delete on other values, but remember they have to be unique for the database, else you'll run the risk of deleting multiple values.
Or you could delete on a compound key, depends on the data you're storing in the grid.

Final Cut 10.1.1 Export Issues & Popping Noise

I've been having some very strange problems that I've never heard of before in Final Cut. First off, I downloaded historical footage I needed for this edit from Youtube as .MP4's, cut them together with some audio, and had everything ready to go. Inside of Final Cut, play back was great. I then tried exporting, and I got the "The share operation "Master File" has failed. The operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 80 (error -1)." The frame number changed between frame 80 and frame 23, seemingly at random. I started out by Goggleing. I tried deleteing my render files, turning off background render, deleteing my preferences, making a new project and pasting everything in, duplicating the project, and more. Absolutely nothing worked. I then started the process of elimination, and deleted parts of by timeline to find the problem. As it turns out, I had to delete my two compound clips (both only audio) and put them in the timeline without a compound clip. It then finally exported, only to find that one of my clips had a ridiculous popping noise, exactly like the Final Cut 10.0 bug. I've tried changing my sample rate, converting the video, exporting the orginal clip's audio with Quicktime then syncing it with the clip in Final Cut, and even just adding an effect to see what happens. The popping still remains. Any ideas? I couldn't find anyone on the web with this problem that's back from the dead. Being able to use compund clips would make the edit a whole lot easier too. Thoughts?

2TB HDD (I've tried transfering the edit to both drives, no luck.)
At this point I'm ready to reinstall Final Cut, but I haven't done it before, and I don't know what it entails. I'd prefer not to lose prefernces, etc. In general, I'd rather not have to do that though.

Luis, just to add to my previous post, I just found a removal process online that is specifally for removal from Mavericks. Can you verify if this is the one to use over FCS Remover (which I think is for previous versions). Here is what I found:
In Finder, choose Applications from the Go menu.
Locate the Final Cut Pro application and drag it to the Trash.
In Finder, hold down the Option key and choose Library from the Go menu.
In the Library folder that opens, open the Application Support folder. Move the Final Cut Pro folder to the Trash.
Return to the Library folder and open the Caches folder. Move the "com.apple.FinalCut" folder to the Trash.
Return to the Library folder and open the Preferences folder. Move the following files to the Trash:
com.apple.FinalCut.LSSharedFileList.plist
com.apple.FinalCut.plist
com.apple.FinalCut.UserDestinations.plist
I just want to make sure so I don't have any problems with a fresh download from the Apple Store.

I am using BI-7. I have Customer & Plant compounded in ZMat_Plant. I am trying to load zmat_Plant but getting following error.

System Response
    The system has recognized that the value mentioned above is invalid, and has processed this general error message. A subsequent message may give you more information on the error. This message refers to the same value, even though it does not state this explicitly.
Procedure
    If this message appears during a data load, maintain the attribute in the PSA maintenance screens. If this message appears in the master data maintenance screens, leave the transaction and call it again. This allows you to maintain your master data.

I used 'APLHA' conversion routine in infopackage, so the problem has been solved. Thanks...

COMPOUNDING SOURCE SYSTEM ID WITH OUT DELETING MASTER DATA

We have existing data from r/3 system (for eg. D1) in BW. Now we have a requirement to get data from a new r/3 system (for eg D2). So we need to use 0COMP_CODE for two sources. We have COMP CODE C11 with different master data in D1 and D2. So we need to compound sourcesystem id to 0COMP_CODE. If we compound it now we need to delete comp code master data in production which means deleting data from 10 other cubes which are dependent on 0COMP_CODE. We can create a new infoobject ZCOMP_CODE for D2. But is it a good idea to create a new info object as we can't report on D1 and D2 if master data is different?. Is there any other way to reuse 0COMP_CODE for D1 and D2.

simple and well known solution... You might want to try if appropriate.
Since you dont nwant to modify the COMP_CODE and Datasource D1, for data coming fom D2, add an identifier at the end..
for example, if comp_code 1000 is coming in from D2, make is 1000D2.
so that if 1000 already exsits in D1, then
1000 means D1
1000D2 means D2.
You can modify the text for D1 data to indicate that it comes from D1.
Kind of patchy solution, but may be appropriate given your situation.

Source system compounded

Hi Guys,
At my client we need to make certain Info objects system compounded.
The problem, when activating the Infoobjects an error message appears saying that the Infoobject contains data in the Infosource and ODS.
Does anyone know how to bypass this operation without deleting the data in the Cube?

Many thanks for the replies. What I did was: I added 0Soursystem into the ODS as well as into the Infoproviders. I activated the update rules.
Still when I want to activate for example 0Material (with Sourcesystem compounded), I still get an error saying that for 0Material there's already data in the Cubes & ODS.
Is there something I forgot to do?

Error when trying to compound source system

I am receiving the error message R7 405 "Inconsistent Compound with char x and Ref char x" when I try to compound 0SOURSYSTEM to some of my infoobjects.
Has anyone seen this issue and been able to resolve it?
A simple scenario would be to try to compound source system with 0Division. Division has a reference char of 0DIV_HEAD. Both are collected in RSD1 via the free selection of infoobjects. 0Division is changed and both objects are selected and activated. The resulting error R7 405 is then displayed by the system. We are receiving this for multiple objects. I was able to convert Material with all its dependencies.

This is what I did. I added source system as compounding IO to reference object, say ZDIVISION in IO editor. I saved it (it was giving me activation error). I then opened the referencing char, say ZDIV_HEAD in IO editor and added source system compounding. It was again giving me activation error, so I just saved it.
I went to RSD1, collected these two IOs and activated. I got an error because the reference IO was in a comm structure which had no source system. I deleted that infosource, and activated both the IOs again in RSD1. It activated just fine. Both IOs are active now.
By the way, the IO editor does allow you to add compounding for a referencing IO (it gives activation error though).
