How do I delete any previous versions of Java from my machine

My name is Mason McFadden. I like to play on a game site called http://www.pogo.com/ in safari & several other internet browsers for the mac. I'm having many issues with the games such as freezing, my game window being squished smaller, games not loading, games getting stuck, etc.
Pogo's support team has told me to make sure that all previous versions of java on my machine are uninstalled, and to update my java via a link they provided me with. However, on a mac, I don't see java listed in the applications folder, therefore I'm unsure of how to "uninstall any java versionsI may have if you will. Pogo games run on Java, which is why it needs it, and pogo believes there's a problem in my java, and it's crashing.
Does anyone know of this game site? If anyone plays it, do you have any trouble with the games? How can I check out my Java? Although pogo's troubleshooting team told me to try to contact Apple support agents on top of their own support team working at my issue, I thought I might post a community forum first, as the phone calls are fee based. If someone out there has any suggestions or can help me before it be necessary for me to call support agents, I'm open. Please let me know. Does pogo run on a specific version of Java? I have the iMac with OS X 10.6.8. NOT the OS X Lion 10.7. Please let me know. Thank you to all and I look forward to speaking with you soon. You must select all ur mails and delete them at the same time, then go to the trash folder and delete all mails from there too, also delete mails from send folder and from every folder, that make recovery all those GB you have storaged

No, you shouldn't need to delete previous versions. The Firefox 4 installer will automatically take care of upgrading your previous version and importing your information into the new version.

Deleting only previous versions of an item (programmatically)

Is it possible (if so, how?) to delete the old versions of a portal item, but leave the current version alone?
I have a procedure that uses wwsbr_api.delete_item to delete items, but it removes every version of the item, including the current version. My page group was set to Audit for Item Versioning, but I have since changed it to None, and I would like to clean up the old versions before using a transport set to migrate the page group to a new environment.

Before executing wwsbr_api.delete_item, check whether the item is the current version by querying the view wwsbr_all_items. Make sure the is_current_version = 0 before deleting.

After being insessantly nagged to install the latest version of iTunes (11.1.4.62) I atempted to do so. I refuses to install correctly citing a problem with the remote device installer (?). Can I install the previous version? How do I get it?

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with installing the latest iTunes update. I recommend following the steps below:
Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.
I understand that you have already uninstalled iTunes, but when you get to this step, it is important to uninstall iTunes and the related components in the order listed in the link for that step.

Why has Firefox 4.0b10 deleted all previous versions from my computer?

Firefox 3.6.13 (I think it was, anyway) upgraded itself automatically and in doing so, my shortcut for Firefox 4.0b7 only opened as Firefox 3.6.13 after the upgrade. As a result, I went back to download Firefox 4.0 Beta and Firefox 4.0b10 downloaded, but my Firefox 3.6.13 is now gone. What gives?

You probably only lost the desktop shortcut to start the beta version and now that has happened again and you lost the shortcut to start Firefox 3.6.13.<br />
You will have to create a new desktop shortcut for the Firefox 3.6.13 version.<br />
You can probably do that via Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox > Firefox<br />
Make sure that you do not choose the Safe mode entry.
If that also gives the Firefox 4 beta version then go to the Firefox 3.6.13 program folder ("C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\") and right-click the firefox.exe program.<br />
Windows probably hides the .exe file extension, so be sure to get the correct file (check the Properties).

Delete version resource and its previous versions

I try to delete a versioning resource but I do not succeed. I create a version resource, when I delete it from the repository, xmldb delete it, but it don’t delete the previous versions. If I try to get a previous version by RESID I get it (why they not have been cancelled?). How can I cancel the resource and its previous versions? After many operations the occupied space increases but the repository is empty.
I use 10g (10.2.0.1.0) whit XMLDB

I have found that the table xdb.xdb$resource contains contains all the resource, also the cancelled resources. I find it by the query
select extractvalue(value(p) ,'/Resource/CreationDate') pp, extractvalue(value(p) ,'/Resource/DisplayName') dn
-- ,abspath(9999)
from xdb.xdb$resource p
I find also all version resources. How can I really delete the resources?

My Firefox crashes and freezes quite a bit. Can I delete the previous Firefox downloads when I update to a newer version?

CS4 Upgrade and Previous Versions of Photoshop

As a long-time Photoshop user, I have upgraded my versions of Photoshop over the years and currently have the CS4 Photoshop Upgrade loaded on my computer. I have an older computer with limited hard drive space and am running out of room. Is it necessary to keep all the previous versions of Photoshop on my computer's hard drive in order for the already-loaded on my computer CS4 Photoshop Upgrade to run? In other words, can I remove the earlier versions (like Photoshop 4, Photoshop 6 Upgrade, Photoshop 7 Upgrade, and CS2 Photoshop Upgrade) and still have CS4 Photoshop Upgrade run ok? I'm trying to clean up hard drive space and would like to make space by deleting the previous versions, but I don't want to mess up my CS4 Photoshop Upgrade if that program somehow ties into components from the previous upgrades.

In addition to that, I also have on it Photoshop 4.0, Photoshop 5.5, Photoshop 6.0 Upgrade version, Photoshop 7.0 Upgrade version, and CS2 Photoshop Upgrade. What I need to know is can I remove the earlier versions of Photoshop or will it negatively affect the operation of CS4 Photoshop Upgrade (since it's not the full version and only an upgrade of the upgrades installed earlier)? (The only full version of Photoshop I have is Photoshop 4.0 -- everything after that was upgrade versions.)

You can, but it's not mandatory. Generalyl it's a good idea to keep old versions around for a while in case there are issues while migrating to the new version... If you uninstall, do so before installing the new version to avoid issues with busted file associations and the like. Just make sure to back up your catalogs and settings properly...

2014 update did not uninstall the previous versions

When I got the 2014 updates, none of the installs deleted the previous version. In addition people are complaining that if you uninstall the previous version by hand, then the new version fails to work correctly. What Adobe has done here is very confusing, and I would like a better explanation than I'm seeing.
