Delete a saved addressed on home page

How do I delete a address that I bookmarked to my homepage?

You shouldn't be able to have duplicate apps - do they open execatly the same app ?
To delete apps press and hold any of the apps and after a couple of seconds or so they should start to shake. Then press the 'x' in the left corner to delete the ones that you don't want, and when you've finished deleting press the home button so as to stop the shaking. You cannot delete any of the Apple built-in apps e.g. Music/iPod, App Store, Game Centre etc. If you don't get the 'x' on any of the apps that you've downloaded then check that Settings > General > Restrictions > Deleting Apps isn't set 'off'

  • Just new to Dreamweaver cs5 / Deleting a recent Item / Resetting home page

    Hello
I am new to dreamweaver cs5.  Just purchased the software and teaching myself the basics.  I have created several recent projects and would I like to clean up, delete them and start all over again.  Also have  lost dreamweavers home page and don't know how to reset it.  If anyone can please help.   Is there an easy way to go about this?     Thank you Jon.

    Hi,
To delete recent files in your file list try the following :
On Windows, it's a setting in the Windows registry:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Dreamweaver\Recent File List
Select each file, right-click and select Delete.
DW must be closed befoire doing this.
If you are unfamiliar with the Registry (be careful !!!!!!), you can access it by executing the following:
    Start > Run > REGEDIT > OK
To show (or hide) the Welcome Screen, go to your preference, General Category and chock (or uncheck) the first one.
    Hope this help !

  • HT204407 Find My Friends: how to delete a saved address

My son change schools recently. I have the new school address saved to notify me when he arrives, but how do I delete the old school address?

The only way to clear the email address autofill cache is to perform a Restore (via iTunes) and set the phone up as new, meaning all your settings will have to be re-entered, and all your content re-synced. Up to you to decide if that's worth it, but that really is the only way, unless/until Apple changes it.
You can submit feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.

  • Why can't i adjust the bottom of my home page

I recently deleted content from my home page, and rather than the bottom of the page adjusting up as it usually does, it's stuck in the old position.
i've tried adjusting the master page settings, and i've tried just deleting the space on the home page.  neither thing has worked and i'm not sure what else to try.
the content i deleted was in the body of the page, not the footer.
    thanks!

    Hi
Could you please check the page in design mode, if you have any blank object, like text box, rectangle or anything like that, specially in the footer. You can use "Select All" in Edit menu, to select all the content on the page, and try to locate it. Make sure you have unlocked everything on page, so it can select everything.
Let me know if that helps

  • Home page bookmarks save last page in each site I was in; not the home page of that site

I have several websites saved as my home page - fine, this is not a problem; they all open okay. But; instead of going to the home page of each website - which is what I have set, several times now - it insists on going to the last page I had open '''within each website''' this causes error messages & I have to re-load the site, as for obvious reasons it cannot always find the last page I was on. (Example: one of the sites is 'Transport for London'; I set the home page as one of my tabs; but if I have been trying to plan a journey, Firefox will try to open that journey search the next time & will get an error message instead). Is there any way of fixing this? I think the 'set home page' is not working properly.

Maybe it is something to do with
I set all the tabs 'exactly as I want them to open, and click 'use current pages'
Try setting them as th ehome page such as http://www.tfl.gov.uk/ with the pipe "|" separator between each one.
If you do not mind disclosing the info show your homepage settings as pasted from the troubleshooting page. I have just tried
    *browser.startup.homepage
    **http://www.tfl.gov.uk/|http://www.google.co.uk/|about:home|about:blank|http://www.bbc.co
I have done a journey search and restarted with no problem the London Transport homepage shows.

  • How do I delete when opening home page "Meet Mozilla Foxfire" and 8 easy steps to become a Foxfire Expert

When I log into Foxfire the main page shows "Meet Mozilla Foxfire" and then below that it says Become a Firefox Expert in 8 easy steps. I'd like for the home page to show something like news, etc. in lieu of the above.

    Hi hijeannie,
You should look at [https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Firefox+has+just+updated+tab+shows+each+time+you+start+Firefox this article about that specific issue] and the article [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Preferences_not_saved Preferences not saved]. These should give you all the information you need!
    If that doesn't work:
    # Type about:config in the address bar
    # Click ''I'll be careful, I promise'' if prompted
    # In the Filter input field type ''startup''
    # Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
    # Delete the text string and click ''OK''
    # Close Firefox and reopen the window to verify that it has worked.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • My Mac Book Pro changes the saved home page each time I start Safari.  I also get new tabs that randomly open asking to clean up my Apple

My Mac Book Pro changes the saved home page each time I open Safari.  I am also getting random tabs opening with various "cleaning up" my computer junk.
How do I get rid of this?  I tried some of the fixes listed but they don't seem to work or I am doing something wrong.
    THanks
    Wendi

You may have installed one or more of the common types of ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it. It's been reported that some variants of the "VSearch" malware block access to the page. If that happens, start in safe mode by holding down the shift key at the startup chime, then try again.
Back up all data before making any changes.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those. If Safari crashes on launch, skip that step and come back to it after you've done everything else.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, ask for further instructions.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. It may have come from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
Malware is also found on websites that traffic in pirated content such as video. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.

  • Icon in left hand corner of blank home page tab says "Kill Me"- how do I delete?

I initially saw icon "Kill ME" in left hand corner of location bar. I went to 'view' and clicked on 'customize' and dragged it off and it was replaced by 'google' icon- however the "Kill Me" icon then appeared in the left hand corner of my blank home page tab-

Do you mean on the bottom of Firefox, or below that, on the Windows Taskbar or desktop?
If it's in Firefox, I'd love to see a screenshot of that. This article has tips on capturing screenshots: [[How do I create a screenshot of my problem?]] Please blur or delete any personal/sensitive information before uploading. You can use the Browse button below the text box for a reply to attach the saved screenshot.
If it's on the Windows Taskbar or desktop, does a right-click reveal any useful information? If you open Properties > Shortcut it usually will indicate the program's folder.

  • Safari always opens with "Welcome to Safari" screen. Home page not saved.

After a clean reinstall of Yosemite on our mid-2010 iMac and an upgrade to Safari 8.0.2, my partner is greeted with the "Welcome To Safari" screen each time he launches Safari.
In addition, his home page is not saved and the Favorites bar, which is set to be displayed by default, does not show.
My own Safari experience is unaffected.
Has anybody else experienced this and any suggestions on how to fix it?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Babylon search engin keeps taking over my home page.I have deleted it from my computer and it just took over Google again. How can I get rid of it?

Since I downloaded Mozilla Firefox on my new computer, Babylon search engine keeps taking over my home page. I have deleted it from my computer and have installed Google as my home page - It has just done ANOTHER hostile takeover and completely kicked Google off. Babylon doesn't even find the right things I search for. It is horrible - is it a virus and how do I get rid of it?

The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information.
Note: ''This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.''
To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
    #Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
#Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
#Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.

  • I have saved a web page as my HOME page but another one keeps loading when I try to go online.

I saved a home page to load when I go online. Another web page keeps loading in its place. How can I get MY home page to load instead of this other one?

Thank you for your response. The webpage that keeps coming up is something called imesh. I have read the article and tried changing it again but it keeps coming back to imesh.com. I have changed the default home webpage in other parts of the computer and with the options menu but imesh keeps overriding it. I know I did download that program but have since gone back and tried to delete it from my computer. Evidently I was not successful. I have looked for it all over to see if I missed deleting somehow but I can't even find it now. If you have a suggestion I will gladly try. I'm also going to get my tech guy to look at it. Thanks!!

I turn on my computer and I get the desk top OK I click on internet explorer and I get www.safesear.ch in the address bar and as my home page.  I go to  internet options and www.safesear.ch is in the home page box plus it's gray  which mean

I need to know how to get safesear.ch off my computre and make centurylink.com my home page
           Thanks for any help    Jim2tall

Hi, your problem is caused by browser redirect virus (detailed description can be found here). To resolve this problem, you have to remove this redirect virus from your PC. You can follow the steps below:
    1. Remove the Safesear.ch related add-ons from your browsers.
    Internet Explorer:
    Launch the Internet Explorer browser.
Click “Tools”, select “Manage Add-ons”, and then click “Toolbars and Extensions”.
Look for any suspicious add-ons and disable them.
    Mozilla Firefox:
    Launch the Mozilla Firefox browser.
Click Firefox menu and select “Add-ons”.
Remove/disable any unknown or unwanted add-ons.
    Google Chrome:
    Launch the Google Chrome browser.
Click on the Wrench icon, select “Tools” and click “Extensions”.
Click “Extensions”, look for the unsolicited add-ons and delete them.
    2. Remove all files and registry entries related to Safesear.ch.
Go to the local disk C, search for and delete any files associated with the redirect virus.
Click Start menu, in the search box, type “Reg” and click “Registry Editor” from the result list. When the Registry Editor pops up, search for the registry entries related to the redirect virus and delete them all.
    3. Reset your homepage
    Internet Explorer
Click on Tools icon and choose Internet Options. In General tab replace the hijacked homepage with a desired URL like www.google.com. Then click Apply to complete the action.
    Mozilla Firefox
Click on Firefox menu and navigate to Options. Under the General tab, delete the unwanted URL from the Home Page field, input the URL you prefer and click OK.
    Google Chrome
Click on 3-bars icon and choose Settings. In Appearance section click on Change. Remove the malicious homepage by clicking X symbol. Then you can add the desired homepage by entering its URL and hitting OK.
If the steps above cannot fix the problem, then you can consider using a professional malware removal tool like Malwarebytes and SpyHunter.
