Delete albums in PSE 11

How do I delete albums in Ps11 organizer??
< thread title edited by forum host >

Sorry, your last post and mine must have crossed.
Okay, then I would first try File>Manage Catalogs>Repair. If that doesn't help,  go to your username>library>preferences and delete com.Adobe.Elements Organizer.11.0.plist and com.adobe.ElementsOrganizer11.plist and any lockfiles with the same names.
That library is hidden in 10.8. To see it, in the Finder click the Go menu and hold down the Option key. While you're in there, also go to the Saved Application States folder and delete anything pertaining to PSE.

  • Itunes Match deletes albums and artwork from the base PC

I use Windows Seven and have immaculate metadata on all songs.  No albums are broken up and everything works perfectly.  When I tried to use the itunes match feature, a bunch of old albums that I imported from the original CD's were deleted.  In addition, about 30% of my album art disappeared and could not be seen in the "get info" window for each of those albums.
Luckily, I made a backup of itunes prior to turning on and purchasing the match service. I fixed this problem as follows:  I deleted my itunes folder, removed itunes and icloud from my computer, downloaded itunes and reinstalled it. Everything works like it did before I started.  Everything was restored. I immediately went to the itunes store menu and made sure that itunes match was not turned on.  I was pleased to see that it wasn't. In other words, I was worried it would know my Apple ID and turn itself on but it didn't.  I would like my 25 dollars back but I'm so happy that the debacle was averted, I'll write this one off.
The big point here is that Match can delete albums and artwork.  In my case, 99% of the albums were from the original CD's.  My reason for purchasing the expensive CD's is to have possession of the original wav files. You might be interested to know that the artwork that was missing was pretty big, usually about 500 x 500 pixels, so maybe that's why Match couldn't deal with it.  I don't know if this problem occurs when all of your music is purchased directly from Apple.
The moral of this story: if you back everything up beforehand and this happens to you, it is easily fixed with minimal effort.

same here... no matter if iOS5 or iOS6... When you set up iTunes Match from the scratch it looks just perfect, with all the album art. But then after some days, album art begins to disappear...
Some of them come back when you open the album and close it again - some won't. And even if you got it back - it just disappears again!
Another very annoying bug ist, that albums get torn apart. I see too albums of some of mine and they both show a part of the original album. And it's definetly no an issue with bad ID3 Tags or somethin like that. It happens with purchased music from the iTunes Store too!
I really hoped Apple was going to fix this issues - i'm using it since day one, so almost a year now. And nothing changed!
I don't think I'm going to renew my subscription.

  • Every time I try and delete an album from my ipod using itunes but doing so manually as was suggested, it is also deleted from the itunes library that i have set up.  How do I just delete albums from my ipod and not loose them from my pc itunes library?

I have an extensive itunes library on my pc.  I want to delete albums from my ipod but still keep them in my itunes library.  Everytime I try to delete by right clicking on the album and choosing delete, I also loose the album from itunes.  I have just gotten an old iphone and put just classical and jazz on the iphone and want to delete those albums from my ipod but alas I will be loosing them from the iphone as well as soon as I sync with itunes in the future.  I put settings into manual manage music but still the albums go off itunes.  Any suggestions?

I'm thinking you sync to your computer over Wi-Fi, if correct, switch to sync when connected to iTunes, turn off sync over Wi-Fi. Hope this helps, Good luck. Cheers.

  • IPad 1,  how to delete albums in photo?

I have an ipad1 with ios5+  operating on it. I want to delete albums in photo. How do it do it?

    1. If album was created directly on the iPad then you should be able to delete it using the Edit button.
    2. If album was synced from a computer then it can't be deleted directly on the iPad, you will need to reconnect the iPad to your computer's iTunes, de-select that album/folder on the Photos tab and re-sync.

  • How to delete albums from iphoto?

There is clear instructions from within iPhoto to delete Journals but nothing about deleting albums.  How do I go about doing this on an iOS device - iPad or iPhone?

Albums are deleted using the Photo app or by syncing with your computer.use the Photo app to delete photos in the Camera Roll, All Imported and Last Imported albums.
To delete other albums start iTunes on the computer that you normally sync with and connect your iPad. Select your pad in the left column of iTunes on your computer. At the top of the right column select Photos.
In the list of Albums below deselect those albums you want to delete. That click on Apply in the lower right corner of that window.

  • IPhoto Deleted Albums Showing Up in Desktop & Screensaver Settings

I use a MacBook and an iMac. I keep all of my images on my iMac, but when I'm out and about, I import to the MacBook from my camera. Recently, I consolidated my library (First time since Leopard) and put everything to my iMac. I deleted all of the images from iPhoto. When I opened up my Desktop & Screensaver preferences to change my desktop, under the tab for iPhoto Albums, I all of the deleted albums. If I select them, I cannot remove them, and the images aren't there. I am guessing this is somewhere in the system, but not sure how to get rid of this issue. Thanks for the help!

How did you do this? Export from MB and import to iMac? iPhoto Library Manager (IPLM)? how?
I deleted all of the images from iPhoto.
On which system - the MB or the iMac (I'm guessing the MB but not sure) ? How did you delete all images? Using iPhoto and dragging to the iPhoto trash then emptying the iPhoto trash? (this is the proper way) Or some other way?
When I opened up my Desktop & Screensaver preferences to change my desktop, under the tab for iPhoto Albums, I all of the deleted albums. Is this on the MB or the iMac (again I'm guessing the MB and that you expect there to be no photos or anything else there on the MB - that everything is on the iMac - and that you have carefully verified that)? The answer will depend on what you did (above) to get here
Is iPhoto working perfectly on both systems except this? can you see all events and photos within the events that should be there on each system?
Again I'm assuming that at this time you want all photos on the iMac and no photos on teh MB but please verify.

  • How do I transfer tags from Photoshop Album to PSE 7?

I hope someone can help me here.  I have downloaded PSE7 and intend to buy it as I understand that this is the upgrade path for Photoshop Album.  I bought a new computer running Vista but Album does not work with it.
I have tried to convert the .PSA catalog file from Album, but PSE tells me that it can't complete the job and wants me to repair the file with the original product.  I have no idea how to do this or indeed what it means.  The file works fine on my XP computer with the same pictures.  Does anyone know what I can do to make this work?  If it doesn't work I will have to retag over 5000 pictures.  I really don't want to do that, and will probably not go on to purchase the product.
    Thanks in advance.  Mike

Thanks for your very prompt response.  Unfortuanately I have tried this and still the same answer.  I have even tried saving the catalog as another filename, but it still tells me to repair the file in the original application.
Any further help would be gratefully received.

  • IOS 8 - deleted photos not showing in Recently Deleted album

Updated iPhone 5 to iOS 8, noticed that the Camera Roll has disappeared, extremely anoying, and you are not able to see all the photos on the phone, instead only the recently added. Did some research and found that they are all in the photos. Also, found that when deleting a photo it first goes to the Recently Deleted album.
Tried it out by deleting some photos, however, no photos show in the Recently Deleted album. Asked the Apple store staff and they do not know either why it is not showing in the Recently Deleted album.
Anyone has an idea as to why and how to fix?

    Hi tech.smart79,
    Thanks for you reply.
As a matter of fact I did do a backup on my computer via iTunes, then did the update to iOS 8 via iTunes and had to restore the phone from that backup, which was also done via iTunes.
All photos are on the Photos, located at the bottom right in the Albums.

  • Hidden & Recently deleted Albums in Photos  on IOS 8

Having just updated to IOS8 and lost iPhoto without warning I am trying to get my head round the new features in Photos.
If I want to clear space how can I do that if the deleted items are now moved into a Recently Deleted Album?
    And
If the point of the Hidden Album is to hide photos how do you stop someone looking at them if all you have to do is tap on the album and it opens?
Sorry if I am missing the obvious!
And does anyone know of a replacement photo editing app please! I need to have something where I can add titles, at my age I will never remember where the heck I took the photo otherwise!

OK, I've got a similar, but more irritating, problem.
My iPad Air 16GB had too many photos on, using up nearly 4GB of space.  So I archived these photos and got rid of all but about 25.
In the next couple of weeks I was a lot better at housekeeping my photos and deleted them every couple of days.
Next time I wanted to do an iTunes sync, I noticed Photos was still taking up about 4 GB.  Hmm, so I had a look on the net and saw the recently deleted photos "feature" and how to deal with it.  Great I said to myself and went to the "recently deleted" folder where it had only about 40 photos.  So i deleted these i.e. ALL the photos in "recently deleted".  But still iTunes and the iPad were reporting photo usage as around 4GB.  Grrr
So I backed up my iPad, reset it to factory settings and restored.  Still 4GB being reported as photos, still an empty "recently deleted" folder, just the 25 photos I'd saved.  Huh?????
So I fired up Syncios - lo and behold it says there are about 2,300 photos in recently deleted.  But Syncios won't let me delete them and I can't see them on my iPad or on iTunes to delete them.  So what the **** do I do?????

  • IPhoto '11 deletes albums

iPhoto '11 deletes albums, poof they're gone.

Perhaps not exactly the same fault but I have experienced two crashes while populating a particular album. After the crash, only the very first picture is left in the album. Furthermore, none of the pictures are in the "last 12 months" file. Worse: I cannot find the data file used by iPhoto. If I could find it, I might be ablle to recover from the backup disk. (I am 'populating' through drag and drop from a file folder).
The irony of this is that I am trying to assemble a simple slide show and I would normally do this by putting selected pictures into a file UNSORTED or, to use Apple's terminology: Arranged: none - but that doesn't work; the file is sorted on one of the parameters - name, size, type, etc - whether you want it or not. So I attempted to use iPhoto and have just lost three days work with, apparently, no way to recover in spite of having backup.
