Delete all and restart again

Hello,
I would like to delete my Lightroom 4 and all the pictures in it and start new again.
Is there a way to do that?

Re-installing Lr does nothing in your case. Pictures are not in Lr. Pictures (Image files) are on the hard drive - wherever they are - and Lr references them in its database (= catalog).
If you want to start fresh, simply open a new catalog. There is no need to delete or uninstall anything.
Just go >File >New Catalog. Give the new Catalog a descriptive name so that you know this is the "new" one. Lr will then close (it gives you a message) and re-open with a new catalog that has nothing in it. So you won't see any pictures.
Then go to the Import Dial0og and import your images.

everytime i connect my ipod nano to my pc it opens itunes, deletes all songs and copys them on the ipod again.
Even if i dont change anything in itunes library and just restart/reconnect the ipod it will delete everything before syncing.

I was having this SAME problem.....until yesterday....I was downloading more songs, and was all prepared for it to delete everything and start all over. I added songs to my existing playlist, and I FINALLY figured out that by keeping everything in one playlist...it will ONLY download the new songs and leave the other ones on there. You can tell what's happening by that bar on the bottom that tells you how much stuff is on your Ipod. I tried this several times, just to make sure I wasn't imagining things, and it's WORKING. Before, I didn't know what to do, so I made a new playlist everytime I download something, which is why it would delete the stuff I already had on there.
I hope I didn't confuse you....let me clarify. I have a playlist called Kelly's Ipod selection. everytime I download something, it gets added to that playlist. Then, I click the ipod and choose "download selected playlists". and then it will only download songs that aren't already on the ipod.
I'm SOOO happy I figured this out. I got my ipod for Christmas and was getting really frustrated with it, and put off downloading more music because I just didn't want to deal with it. I used to use a sandisk sansa mp3 player and never had any problems adding songs. I figured this out by pure luck. And now I can actually ENJOY my ipod.

Made a mess of importing - can I delete all and start again?

Mac newbie. I have all my photos safely stored on an external hard drive in a folder structure such as Asia/Country/city, etc.
I just got a Mac. Looked at but didn't want to use iPhoto, so d/l Aperture.
I imported one city folder with "automatically split projects" ticked (it was default) and got hundreds of projects - one for each day I took photos, I think. I need an easy way to clear them out/delete so I can import correctly.
Suggestions? I've since d/l the pdf manuals from Apple and I promise to read them :>

The default setting on import is to move the masters into the Aperture library. If you had this set then the masters you imported were moved into the library and when you deleted them from Aperture you may have deleted your only copy of the masters.
IYou should check you original directory to see if those masters are still there. If you haven't yet empty the system trash yet they will be there.

When I open FireFox i get the blue screen of death and then vista restarts. I get to login and then afterthe welcome window it crashes and restarts again. I can open in safe mode but if I open firefox again it restarts this loop.

The other day I opened firefox after the latest update in September. Firefox then closes and then i get logged off and vista(32 bit) restarts. I get back to login and when I try to login it gives me the blue screen and restarts again with the selection screen (start in safe mode....)I was able to login on safe mode and then on admin afterwards. Thinking the problem was just an error I went back and opened firefox on my account and the loop started again. I was forced to remove firefox but I want ti back and I want to know how this can be fixed so I can put it back on my computer.

there could be issues with their server I often get that both in ios and OS X and windows

If this is an iCloud account the Outbox only appears when sending an email, so if it is still trying I suppose it should be showing now (not sure though, hard to replicate this)

I think you should just rebuild your library.
Clear it out, then drag all the song files back in. You'll lose your ratings and playcounts, etc but I don't see what else you can do.

Does a factory reset delete all and make the new copy of OS completely fresh?

Hi all, so I forgot my book's passcode and I reset it from the Recovery mode. All is fine, but I was wondering does a factory reset delete all and make the new copy of OS completely fresh? All the chains, registries and all, just like a fresh copy of Windows ? Or did I mixed up all...
P.S. Strange after the factory reset and the system's downloading I got this as apps (of course some are downloaded by me)

Actually, the "delete all" part is done by your using Disk Utility to erase the partition, as part of your clean install.

This is a cycle problem ONLY with the printer. My Mac is not connected. The PSC 6180 interrupts its power up with a beep and restarts again. This repeats over and over. When it starts, it flashes the HP screen, then the On button blinks. Sometimes, it gets as far as a dialog box that 'not turned off properly" and whether or not I push OK, it restarts; sometimes it gets as far as blinking the ordinaly menu screen for a second or two and then goes off and restarts. .
One clue is that when I yank the power, wait 10 minutes and plug back in, it immediately starts the startup cycling - when normally it should wait for me to hit the On switch.
Is there any way to reset this printer other than the power off that I've already tried?

Searching elsewhere I found keyboard startup combination that resets the printer. The one that seems to work for a while on my PSC 6180 is holding down "OK" and "Help" buttons when connecting the printer to power. After humming awhile, the printer turns off, i.e. stops cycling, and when I power it on, it prints! Unfort, this doesn't seem to last long - when I was first successful, to reconnect to wifi, I put in our wifi psk pw (not easy). But soon after, it started cycling again. I reset again, and for the moment it is working.

Good day all, I am new to Mac. Just at a time when I am in the middle of something, my Mac will just prompt me to shut down and restart again. The computer will just freeze, and will not respond unless it is shut down and restarted. Is that how it works

Mine happens very often sometimes, and it can be very embarrassing, especially just when you think you are almost done with what you are doing, only for you start all over again. Any Tab I open, goes directly into a connecting / Newtab mode where it is constantly opening a new tab. It is stuck in that cycle. I have deleted all and reboot

For what ever reason it is stuck in a continuous loop of trying to open a new tab and connecting. I have deleted everything and anything I could find on my machine having to do with mozilla and re-downloaded and re-installed numerous times.

Try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

You can create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
