Delete all calendars from an iCloud account

Hi  Support Communities,
did anyone find a way to delete all calendars from an iCloud account? It seems that iCloud wants to keep at least one calendar. We use several accounts and one is only used to look at shared calendars from other accounts. So there is no need for its own empty calendar. On iOS I just hid this calendar, but on OS X it is always visible. I unchecked it, but it would be nice if I could just delete it. If I do so on an iOS device it is gone, but reappears later. Trying to delete it on a Mac results in an error that it can’t be deleted, same goes for the web interface at icloud.com. It’s just a cosmetic issue, but I would prefer it to be gone altogether. Any ideas?
Thanks
Björn

I had hoped I was wrong, you never know. Well, thanks anyway!

I have deleted all emails from my ICloud email account but my manage storage still shows that the mail is using 9.7GB.  Why isn't the number decreasing if all emails have been deleted?

It might be caused by storage "buffering".  If so, the space will adjust automatically when another iCloud feature uses the space previously allocated to your deleted email.  See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4873.

Yes, but be sure she is on a separate iCloud account with a separate ID before deleting anything.  Be sure there is nothing that you want to keep on your device too.  When you delete the data from iCloud it will be deleted from all devices signed into the account.  Then you can delete the data from the existing account by doing the following:
To delete the contacts, go to iCloud.com from your computer, log into your iCloud account and open Contacts, click on All Contacts on the left, to the right click on any single contact to select it, click on the Actions (gear shaped) icon at the bottom left and choose Select All, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
For Calendars, open the calendar on icloud.com, click Edit on the bottom left, then tap the minus sign to the right of each calendar to delete it.
For Notes, open notes on icloud.com, click on each note on the left, then click Delete at the top to delete it.
For Reminders, open reminders on icloud.com, click on each reminder and press your Delete key to delete it.
For Mail, open your mail on icloud.com, click each folder on the left (such as your inbox), click on a single message to the right, press Control-A on your keyboard to select them all, then press your Delete key.  Repeat this for each of your mail folders except Trash.  When finished, click on the actions (gear-shaped) icon on the bottom left and select Empty Trash.
If you also want to delete your iCloud backups you can go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage on your device, tap the name of your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup.

  • Delete All Calendars from iPad?

Simple question; hopefully a simple solution.
I want to delete all calendars from my iPad2, so that I can then copy the calendars from my Mac onto it?
I want all of the data deleted from my iPad, and don't want it to show back up again.
Like I said, it should have a simple solution.
    Thanks!

    Does this help you:

Repeat the same procedure for all calendars.
If the calendars came in via an Exchange account, you can remove the calendar syncing by editing the exchange account (settings -> mail, contacts and calendar -> accounts) and switch "calendar" in this (http://blog.fosketts.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/Exchange-Account-MCC.png) dialog to off.

How do I restore a deleted iPhone calendar from my iCloud backup?

You can only restore the complete iPhone from a backup; you cannot restore selectively.
To restore an iCloud backup  first go to settings/iCloud and turn off Find my iPhone, then connect the phone to a power source and within range of an WiFi connection, go to Settings/General/Reset - Erase all content and settings. When the reset completes you will be given the option to restore a backup.

  • How can I change a calendar from an iCloud account to another account?

I am trying to move a calender from a icloud account to another icloud account, how can I do that?
    Thank you

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Create a new empty calendar from the iCal file menu, select which account you want to create it in.
To copy a calendar ctrl-click on it from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button (top left corner of iCal) and choose export (export it to your desktop for ease)
Double click the exported file and choose the new empty calendar to import them into.
Ctrl-click on the original calendar from the menu that appears when you select the calendar button and choose delete.

  • How to delete all calendars from icloud?

So I decided it was finally time to try out iCloud, and immediately regretted this decision when my iCal, Safari bookmarks and Address Book all got messed up in different ways. I've managed to fix all these issues (by signing out of iCloud on all my devices and restoring my bookmarks and address book from backups) and I've deleted all old backups from iCloud so it's now showing 5GB of 5GB as free. And yet, when I went to icloud.com I could still see the calendars and contacts that were there before. I've deleted all the contacts, and all the calendars but one, but when I got to the last calendar and tried to delete it I got the following message : "you need to have at least one calendar that you own. To delete this calendar, create a new one."
The best part is, even if I create a new calendar there I still get that message when I try to delete the other one. Is it too much to want to simply delete everything off my iCloud? This entire process has been beyond frustrating. Any help would be much appreciated.

Look like you have duplicate calendars. Find the name of the calendar on your iPhone and the color of the event labels. Then look at your computer. Find the one with the different label/name/color. You can delete that calendar.

Try using the information in this article to help you troubleshoot this issue with the Activation Lock on your iPad:

  • How can I delete linked devices from my icloud account?

Someone that I dont Know has sign in on an ipad. I've already changed my pasword but I still can see it linked. for example it apperar on my icloud tabs on safari. this really bothers me.
    How can I unlink it?

Still seeing the other person's iCloud tabs does not necessarily indicate that they still have access to your iCloud account.  iCloud tabs will remain for up to 7 days even if a device is no longer active on your iCloud account.  After 7 days they should automatically be cleared.

  • Delete all calendars from iPhone?

My wife got a hand-me-down iPhone 3G from her brother. It has all of his calendars in it. Can we remove these calendars without having to sync it with something like Outlook? She connects this to an XP machine, not my Mac. She just wants to obliterate the calendars on there.

    Jeremy Coulson wrote:
Okay. You said "sync to a computer with an empty calendar". This is confusing to me because her machine has no calendar on it anyway. Outlook's calendar is empty.
Then choose outlook to sync from and the option to overwrite on the phone once.
If we restore her phone and then sync it with iTunes, it will put all of her music and apps and whatnot back, correct?
No, music will not be transfered, unless you bought via iTunes. The only way arround this would be using 3rd party software like http://www.wideanglesoftware.com/touchcopy (not supported by Apple)
Disable autosync in itunes and back up manually by right clicking on your iphone in the device list. Transfer your purchases the same way, this will copy your apps and other bought media content.
To sync the apps you'll have to use the same account in itunes as you used buying them. Authorize your computer as well.
All media content will be erased during the first sync. Get your data back by restoring from your backup after you synced.
