When trying to change the user id on an account I set up a second account. How do I delete this account? Computer is Win 2000

Help! I just moved my itunes library from a Win 7 computer to a new Win 8.1 computer following the instructions on the itunes website. Everything is good except I'm getting an error message on the Win 8 computer if I try to play a CD or get an audio file off of the internet. I get an error message that says "iTunes has detected a problem with your audio configuration. Audio/Video playback may not operate properly. I don't know where to look for or fix the audio configuration on the win 8 computer. As far as I can tell the iTunes configuration looks the same as on the other computers in the house. At this point I don't dare plug my ipod touch into the Win 8 computer for fear it will get messed up.
I have the same problem and I know that it is due to my PCI Audio driver not being compatible with WIndows 8.1.
iTunes isn't the only program that can't direct sound to the built-in speakers anymore. The obvious solution would be to update the drivers, but unfortunately Dell does not provide an updated driver for my model, so I am stuck with that.
However, saying that, only my laptop speakers are affected by this. I can use sound fine on applications where I can choose the output device and direct sound to the head phones, but for some reason iTunes does not let you choose the audio device manually.
To listen to music I imported the iTunes Library in Windows Media Player and changed the audio output using the following instructions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/c00d11ba
However, I would also like to rent movie's from iTunes,
Would be great if iTunes would let you choose the output device, too, like most other applications using sound from Skype to Windows Media Player,... -

Have you authorized the Computer to your Apple ID?
If not, sign on to iTunes.
Then got to the Store menu option at the top of the screen (CTL+B if it is not showing), and click on it to display the dropdown, and select Authorize this computer.
If that doesn't work, then sign on your Dad's iTunes ID and repeat the Authorization process.

I have been backing up familys iphones on my computer and restoring the backup on their upgraded phone (eg. 4s to 5s) as they dont know how. The problem is they are all now logged into their phones as my apple id
we have tried deleting my account from their phones through:

unfortunately my account still exists on their phones

Go into your iTunes account and eliminate the payment method to none. Then change the password. FInally notify iTunes support of your problem. You will find ways to contact iTunes support on this website. Email works very well with iTunes support.
You do not want to delete your account and there is no need to do that to prevent further hacking. The reason is that any purchases of music, Apps, movies or whatever made with your iTunes account will be associated to that account and you can redownload them if you change iPhones, get an iPad or to your computer. If you were able to delete the account, which you cannot do, you would have to repurchase everything. -

You can't delete an iTunes account, all you can do is remove personal info from it and stop using it - any items that you downloaded with the account will remain tied to it.

Go to iTunes menu, STORE and sign out. Then you can sign in from there or create a new account which should match the account you have on your iPad and iPhone.

It requires i log into FindMyiPad to delete the iCloud account however the Apple ID has changed therefore the username/password no longer exists.
This is just sending me in circles to log into to a non-existant apple id with no password to delete my iCloud so i can log in with my updated apple ID.Settings/iTunes and App Store log out then log in with new ID. you might want to change ID in iMessage, FaceTime and Siri and delete the cloud account and create one with new ID. remember apps are forever linked to the ID used to download them and can only be updated with that ID

i followed your link on how to delete content from all things Apple, and nothing removes books, movies, music... it just gives said device(s) the iCloud/download icon on top of the book, movie... not sure what the 'hide' purchase actually does - after X'ing/hide, everything STILL appears across all devices using that account. could you clarify this any further?

SarahDeauthorising doesn't delete music that already exists on your computer. You'll have to do that manually - assuming you really want to. Deauthorizing means, among other things, 1) any music with DRM, movies, or TV shows on your computer will not play until you reauthorize. Music without DRM will still play. 2) if you have an iPod, iPad, or iPhone you won't be able to sync your applications without first reauthorizing the computer. 3) you won't be able to purchase anything from the iTunes store until the computer has been authorized (with someone's account).

I have a large family that all uses the same main itunes account. I recently noticed that the older children have downloaded some inappropriate apps from itunes. I cannot delete them forever, only hide the purchases. Can anyone help me with how to delete them forever advise me on how to start itunes over from scratch? you are not able to do either. there is not way to delete the apps forever and you can not delete a itunes account. the only thing you can do is hide stuff
