Delete App Updates from the IPad

I can no longer get rid of my Apps that have been updated. They just remain with all the other updates with the "Open" tab showing. There's no reason to leave these to clutter the page.
Get rid fo them after updating.

Sorry, that's how Apple wants it. One could guess that it was meant to be transparency for those that have auto updates enabled, however it works for everyone - whether they want it or not.
You just have to ignore them.

You can't currently permanently delete purchases, all you can do is hide them so that they are less visible : hiding and unhiding purchases

How do I delete just songs from the iPad?

In an attempt to move my iTunes library, I have now gotten way out of whack with my music. I deleted all songs from iTunes and re-imported (sacrificing my play counts, etc., but I didn't know what else to do), and that works, but it leaves my iPad in a state of confusion. So I would like to remove all music from the iPad and just start over and re-sync, but I am having no luck with that.
Here are things I've tried:
Re-syncing after re-importing the library to iTunes. After that, I can see a full list of songs on the iPad, but 80% of them are grayed out and not playable.
Deleted all the iTunes library files (the itdb's, the itl's and the xml) so that when iTunes opened, it would give me the fresh screen and show no music. Then I synced the iPad--it told me it was going to erase everything on the iPad b/c it was synced to a different library (presumably my old library), and I said okay, and it synced, and somehow there are still about 200 songs on there. No idea how those songs "survived," but they did.
I tried going to Settings -> General, and I see an option for "Reset All Settings", and right under it "Erase All Content and Settings," but inexplicably, there is no option for "Erase All Content and Leave the Settings Alone!" I'm not sure why of those three things, they think the first two are important to users, and the last one isn't.
Ideally I would not like to reset my iPad, as I don't want to lose all my app data and that kind of thing--anybody know an easy way just to wipe all song media from the iPad? Thanks!

You can use these steps to delete songs from the Music app on your iPad:
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Tap the Music app.
Tap the Songs category.
Swipe left over the song you want to delete.
Tap Delete.

Unable to download app updates from the App Store app

When notified that I have app updates and the app is launched and the update "icon" is entered, nothing happens. Not sure what is going on.

There is a problem with Apple’s servers that only they can fix and the issue has been going on for several days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
This is a workaround only and not a fix. If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
Select update on the Apps
Hopefully the red notification number will go away after the updates are applied.
Another option is to update your apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the updated apps to the iPad.
1. Launch iTunes
2. Click on Apps in the list under the Library heading in the left Sidebar.
Click on Updates at the top in the window on the right
Update all of the apps
Connect your iPad and Sync with iTunes
If you do not see the sidebar in iTunes 11 - go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu at the top.

I have the original ipad. I can't delete my photos from the ipad, and the new itunes update does not give me the option to sync photos. What do I do?

Wow. That's weird.
Is your iPad jailbroke? If it is, all bets are off. If it is not jailbroke, keep reading.
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

How do I delete imported photos from the iPad?

You will have to sync again with iTunes to remove them. If you uncheck the box like in the picture below, it will remove all photos when you sync. Or keep that box checked and uncheck the boxes next to the photos, albums, folder that you want to remove from on the iPad.
In the example below, if I uncheck the box next to Disney 2010 when I sync, those photos will be removed. You will have to click on Apply in the lower right corner of the iTunes window as well to sync.

I deleted all songs from the iPad multiple times. Each time I reconnect and sync all of these songs sync instead of the chosen playlist. Settings on Summary page are Sync Only Selected Songs and Videos. Music only the playlist is checked.

How to I stop iTunes from reloading what was on the iPad instead of what I have selected? Summary screen shows "Sync only checked songs and videos" Music has only the selected playlist. All songs were deleted from iPad by swiping them to the left and hitting delete (very time consuming). Sync is set to manual. However whenever I hit Sync, the old music gets put back on the iPad. I have had this happen at least 6 times.

Solved it. "Automatically fill free space with songs" was checked on the Music page. Worked perfectly once this was unchecked.

Do you mean more than just deleting the app, where you hold your dinger on the app until it jiggles and you tap the x to remove the app from your home pages, but also from your purchased list in the App Store? If that is your question, once apps are purchased, they are yours forever, which is why they stay in the purchased list. But, if you want to hide it, you can hide it in iTunes on your computer. If you want to delete a native app, such as Videos, Music, iTunes, etc., you can not do that.

How do I delete the app updates from the APP app after updating?
I have an iPad Air.

You can't delete them. They eventually go away on their own. It's a new feature in iOS 7. After a couple of weeks, the oldest ones will disappear and then the next oldest, and so on.

I'm trying to delet a free app I downloaded from the App Store on my iPad. How do I do this?
I first opened up the App Store on the iPad and tapped on the"Purchased" icon. However, I can't seem to find anway to delete it from there. Is there a way to do this? I also went to my iTunes on my computer and I was able to delete it from there. After I did that I plug the iPad into the computer to update it hoping that the update would remove it but it didn't. Any help here would be appreciated.
