Delete assets

Hi,
Assets created through t code AS01 and amount entered through AS92 & JV also posted but depreciation not run. Now want to delete this asset. If it is possiable please give me soluation.

Hey,
I tried by putting the values of company code,asset number,subnumber, transaction type as 'A' and passing the value of INLA-XSPEB as 'X' in FM ASSET_MASTERRECORD_MAINTENANCE to block the asset but it is not working. I am trying many other things. Can you suggest what are the mandatory fields that need to be passed for the asset to be blocked.
As there are lot of parameters in this FM, I am little confused. Is there a proper documentation available somewhere to understand the flow.

thumbnails can be deleted in the MUSE S/Show window - this seems to delete all instances of photo in the slideshow. However the slideshow widget needs improvment keep submitting to Adobe request for features and included a pause button!!

Records of Deleted Assets

We have deleted some assets in AS06. Where can I view records of these deleted assets? A listing would be preferred, if not, does anybody knows the table name?

no. When you delete an asset you confirm this by choosing the radio-button "physically delete asset" in AS06. What would be the sense to keep the asset in the data storage if you choose to delete it?
If you wanna keep the info, you can retire the asset or set a deactivation date into the master record manually. Then the asset is kept and not deleted.
You cannot conculde that missing asset numbers are the (AS06-) deleted assets in case you use the standard archiving functions. Archiving also (under given prerequisites) deletes assets from database after they are transfered to the archive.

Deleting assets from one CCN

I have created thru CATT script assets under various asset classes ( we follow a sequence)
The first asset (say 84200000-0) carries value in it and i retired it .
and trying to delete it either through AS06 or thruough program RATSTDEL.But i am unsuccessful in deleting it. Any clues will be of great use

you can only delete assets when company code is not productive
(T001-XPROD = 'X' and T093-xanueb = 0)
than you can use tcode OABL

Procedure to see the deleted asset records:-
Fixed Assets >Information System >Reports on Asset Accounting >Asset Balances >Balance Lists >Asset Balances >S_ALR_87011964
Go to Dynamic Selection >Administrative Data and select Mark for Deletion. Give input criteria as X and run the report.

Thanks for your reply and i got to find out how to delete it. But , when i go back to OER home page and search for that deleted artefact it returns result with those names again. But, when i try to download it says, this file is no more available.
I would like the user of OER to know straight away at search level rather than taking them till downloading file to know that file is deleted.
Is this cache problem and will refresh after 24 hrs?.

If we delete an asset records, is all asset information removed from the SAP tables and can we reuse the asset number
Please let me know ANLA table will have this Info.

The only way to delete assets with values are when they complete deactived (No values on the asset) is using archiving.
When you are in a develop/ test system there is an option to delete (reset) all the asset for a company but never do this in a production system. It delete only the assets and not the postings!

thank you but my question was more :is it possible to cancel an AS06.
our case: we deleted one asset with transaction AS06.
the problem was that some projects in PS were using this asset. Now it is impossible to update some fields of the project. So we would like to restore asset datas.

Oracle Assets. When reviewing your mass additions lines, you can place
lines that should not become assets in the DELETE queue. The Delete
Mass Additions program will take the following mass additions and place
them in the interim table FA_DELETED_MASS_ADDITIONS and delete
them from the FA_MASS_ADDITIONS table.
· Mass additions in the SPLIT queue for which you have already posted
the child mass addition lines created by the split.
· Mass additions in the POSTED queue that have already become assets.
· Mass additions in the DELETE queue.

Delete Asset Master with Sub-Assets

Hi Gurus,
A client of mine has an Asset with out any values, but it has sub-assets under it with values and depreciation.
Is it possible to delete the main asset and still have sub-assets? If not what is the way I can delete the main asset and still retain sub-assets?

The user has in the mean time went ahead and deleted the main asset that did not have values, now we are able to only see the asset when we go to the report (asset balance report), but not able to see when we go to Display Asset (AS03).
Is there any way we can undo this?

Delete Asset trans thru' t-code OABL

We have deleted the data in asset module in our development client using the t-code OABL, before that we have 'reset company code' in asset module.
After the successful deletion I noticed that there are still some entries in ANLC table and the std report S_ALR_87011964 also display the entries, please let me know whether any other step is to be carried out as it is not deleting the entire data ie.master and transactions.

Asset Accounting > Preparing for Production Startup > Tools

step, but integrated applications (for example, Financial Accounting)
are not affected. Therefore you should only carry out this step in
conjunction with the other applications.

In case of a productive system and where a company code has already been in productive status then you cannot reset the company code under any circumstances!

Problem while deleting assets

Dear All:
I am trying to delete some assets through AS06 , These assets were earlier purchased through Purchase order and down payments were made through F-48. Complete MIRO have been done for these PO and no any balance is left in PO. But when i try tpo delete these assets i get an error Assets can not be deleted DOWN PAYMENT EXISTS. I go to AW01N and see there.there are some down payment which are still pending against these assets. Now i am unable to understand how to proceed with deletion of assets.PO have been fully processed and invoiced. Please what to do in order to get these down payments clear so that assets could be deleted.

I think you have to do transfer of down payment to normal payment through T.code F-54.
Then this problem will be solved try once in your test server.

Unexpected Result: Deleting asset file did not affect Encore

I am using Encore DVD 2.0. I deleted the DV AVI file, the asset for the timeline, from the folder of orgin. I did not remove the DV AVI asset from the Encore project. When I opened the Encore project, I expect the DV AVI file to have either a "broken link" or be disabled or say "file not found." But when I opened the Encore project, the project Preview played just fine as if the DV AVI file had not been deleted from the folder of orgin. Why is this?
This confused me for the following reason.....when I import an asset into an Adobe Premiere Pro project then delete the actual asset file, Adobe Premiere Pro will let me know that the file cannot be found, etc.

I did a Burn DVD Disc with encore on a project where the untranscoded original asset file had been deleted. The DVD played just fine. I'm going to do some further comparison testing, and will let you know more.

Deleting assets from timeline

This is probably a dumb question... When we are building a Track, and decide that we want to delete an asset, we select the item's video and audio tracks and hit delete. The video track "extracts" the item and the remaining video slides earlier into the timeline - but the audio doesn't "extract". It behaves more like a "lift" - it stays in place and we must drag all of the audio tracks to match the video. Is there a way to "link" the audio and video so they both move to the right position when we delete something?

DVDSP is an authoring application, not a video editing application so there is very little provision for editing and rearranging the video tracks.
AS you discovered, audio and video are not linked in the same way that Final Cut Pro works.
