Delete assigned material to an equipment

Hi,
   we assigned a material and serial number to an equipment (material and serial number fileds on serial data tab of IE02 transaction). Now we want to delete this assignation because we made a mistake (it was not the right equipment). We tried to use the path menu "IE02 Transaction -> Edit -> Special serial number functions -> Change material number", but we only can change material number, it is not possible delete it.
   Does anyone know how can we delete it?

I donu2019t think you can delete this assignment but you can create a dummy material with dummy serial number and change this information on the equipment; if the equipment is not in use you can archive the equipment

Is that material already consumed?
Generally when you try to delete the operation, it also deletes the dependencies of the activity, i.e., it deletes the components associated to that activity, if it is not issued to the order.
Check the details in your system.

How to delete the material records related to storage type

Dear SAP guru's,
I got a situation that if the material "XXXXXX" exists in two different storage type (let say 001 & 002 ) and the material needs to be removed out of one (Let say 002) to avoid the picking and putaway in future.
Inorder to accomplish an above requirement we tried the below cases
Case 1: By flagged the material "XXXXXX" under storage type 002 in MM06 transaction.But it didn't restrict the system on allocating and removing the stock from /to to the storage type 002.
Case 2:After we flagged the material for deletion under storage type 002 ,we used to MM71 transaction to archive & delete the material record that assocaited with the storage type 002 completely.
I am kind of queiries to know if there is any other method or procedure available to delete the storage type associated material records in SAP.
Please guide me with the other options.Thanks.

Hi John,
Its very simple, remove the Storage type indicators from the material master - Warehouse View 1 at Stock placement & Stock removal section, with this it won't pickup or place the materials in the concerned storage type.
If you have extended this materials to more than 1 storage type, you need to do the same for all the storage types.

Try by defining activity and assigning to notification type for Installation after service confirmation,

Function to Delete assignment of HU from outbound delivery in VL02n

Hi,
in my scenario the objective is delete assignment from the delivery and not cancel the HU.
Using the functions
HU_GET_HUS
V51P_DELETE_RELATIONSHIP
HU_POST
I can delete assignmento of the HU from the delivery but when I want to cancel the delivery into VL02n and return tells me that this is not possible because there are still HU attributed to the delivery.
There are alternatives to these functions, or to accidentally enter data into these in order to solve the problem?

I recall that we used to update the HU status as well when we dissociated HU from delivery, though can't remember the reason now.
Pls check the VEKP-STATUS for HU after you have done with these 3 FM calls, I believe you have to update the status to 'BLANK' with the help of some FM, try it first if it works for you by direct updating it in table in Dev.

No, there is nothing that can do that.
I know there is a transaction that is able to delete all FI data, but no such transaction available for MM.

Hi,
In MM06 you can set deletion flag for materials (mara-lvorm). For multiple materials, use T. Codes MM17 or MASS.
---> Select MARA Table
---> Select multiple selection, past all material list and execute.
---> Select DF at client level from field selection tab.
To delete the Material Master records totally, use SARA. If there is posting done, then need to archieve that too.

Urgent Error in Displaying Hierarchy in Bex- like not assigned Material

Hi Gurus,
plz solve my problem like displaying Hierarchy in Bex ,
I loaded hierarchy from R/3 system into Bw 0Mterial.
In Bex 0material Properties I Selected heirachy on Material , this heirarchy having 8 levels,
but in the out put it showing only one level displayng
like Not Assigned Material.
i did all the bex setting well, but i dnot know why i am getting this ...

Is your heirarchy uploaded properly for 0Material ?? If yes juct check out if your transcational data is in sync with the hierarchy master ? If it is not then it wuill display as Not Assigned..

Yes, I have finished the call bapi code. But the users want to change some post date, tax, amount and some account values
during MIRO. So I tried to use call bdc.
But when I call bdc to run miro, I need to update the material documents reciords which are choosed according to some specific logic.

How to delete the incorrected Functional Location / Equipment

please let me know the procedure to delete the incorrected functional location / equipment or any other data like plans, orders, task lists etc. i went in change mode and i clicked on Deletion flag and clicked on Set option. when it will be deleted from data base is it required any other customized settings. if any thing required please tell me.

Hey,
Deletion in SAP is not easily possible. That's is the reason, so much attention is given while creating such masters. Most of the masters in SAP can only be flagged for deletion i.e. you don't move it out.
To move out from database, you need to perform Archiving. It's a separate function, which is performed, servers handling the archival data are different.Accessing the archived data is also different. Once you archive, the flagged for deletion items are essentially moved and you don't see them in your regular servers.
As of now, you can only flag them for deletion. I hope this explanation makes things clear.

and I must use a Bill of Material to assign material component. There is no other choice
This is the point where I disagree with SAP, cause the client says that they use Operational Networks, cause it's more simple to assign components to activities.

Delete planned material (MM11 / MM12)

Hello,
I have following issue:
A planned material was created via TCode MM11 or MM12 for a selected date in the future.
Now this planned material is not longer required - so the material should/must be deleted.
If there any way to do this? Offer SAP a transaction [BAPI, function module ...] to delete a planned material?
I don't find anything to delete the material

If the material is no longer required, then you can archive the material master record.
Consult with your organization and read the archiving process

Error for deletion flaged material

Sales Order should not be generate for deletion flaged material.At the time of Sales Order creation system is giving warning massage like "Matetial is marked for
deletion" but i want error msg for the same.

As per my concern you need to use the User Exit to get error message when you save the sales order with the deleted material.i.e System should not allow to save the Order wirh deleted material.
