Delete button

Hello, I have added a button on my form to delete records as in the same way as the forms applet toolbar record/remove option. But for some reason, my button with coding as "do_key('delete_record') does not want to delete the record where the cursor is positioned as it states that it cant delete a master record, although the record/remove method does. How can i get the button to delete the record where the cursor is positioned?

1) make sure your delete button is in the block where your records are!!
OR
2) before issuing the delete command, go_block('block_name_where_record_is')
I am doing the above mentioned method. Because system tries to delete the current record in current block from where you issue the delete command.

The problem with this solution is that if you ever need to modify your maintenance view (i.e. regenerate the dynpros because you may want to add new fields) your coding is gone.
This is not the case if you are using event 19. Below you see same sample coding:

Songs can be removed from your iPhone by tapping 'Songs,' then swiping the song, then tapping Delete.
Remove a song from iPhone. Tap Songs, swipe the song, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.

How can I delete bookmarks on my toolbar when the 'bluestar' isn't illuminated? (Same for the 'delete' button in the library menu).

I have had a look at your solutions page and have tried to use all the advice suggested however, when I try to delete three items on by Toolbar, none of them illuminate the 'BlueStar' which is beside their address. (I have successfully got rid of other items). I have also tried to delete the items in Firefox's library menu, however, the delete button their isn't illuminated either. I am now concerned that the items are spyware. I was thinking of reinstalling the software but, this would mean loosing all my Bookmarks.
For your information, I have just updated Firefox to 28.0.
I would appreciate your help with this matter.

You need to resync with iTunes. Unselect photos in iPhoto you don't want anymore.

Delete button doesn't work in tabular form after upgrade from APEX3.2 to 4

I just upgraded the APEX from 3.2 to 4.0. However, my application is not working anymore.
First of all, my delete button in tabular form is not working. When I select a row and click the delete button, the row is not deleted, however the message showed 1 row is deleted.
Could you anybody tell me how can I debug this problem?

I had the same problem. I first tried the solution above, but that didn't work. I also had a derived column for a custom popup and some display only columns. I removed the derived column and took out the display columns from my query. I then made sure my column order matched the source query. I applied changes and the delete button worked. FYI. I found out by some testing that it was actually trying to delete from the table, but with the wrong id. My first editable field was qty so if the qty was equal to 2 it then tried to delete from the table where pk=2(I had to restore that record). I believe it is related to the bug above. Backup your app first. I always do before I mess with the tabular forms.

SRM 7.0 no delete button in PO change mode

Dear All,
We are using SRM 7.0 extended scenario. I created a PO and it is approved. (no follow-on documents created)
After PO approved and status is "Ordered" and replicated to backend. Now I want to delete PO in header level but there is no delete button at all in edit mode.
There is a delete button in item level but not in header level.
Any ideas why ?

go to the Purchase oder POWL
Option1
Select the line item in the POWL you can see the EDIT button visible .click it for deleting the P.O.
Option 2.
click on the PO No in the POWL . Purchase order is opened. Click on Edit button ,Delete button will be visible in the P,O,
click delete button.
If you are not getting the delete just try with somether po whether Delete button visiblility is there (or) not

You do the following
In the Column Attributes for report set the column-link for the 'empno' column to redirect to a URL
Set the URL to be

Cannot delete Lists from Reminders app after upgrading to iOS 7. The deal is that those lists don't show in iCloud account in the Web-Browser, so I cannot delete via Browser, when I press the button Edit in the List, there is no Delete button at thebottom

When I press Edit button in the right corner of the app, the button Delete list is supposed to be at the bottom, but it's empty there, the deal is I could delete some of the lists, but most of them I can't. HT204022 i have several copies of my photos on my ipad under photos not photo stream There is no delete button when I tap the duplicate photos. How do I delete these pleas?

I have 4 and 5 copies of my photos under photos on my ipad. I do not have a delete button to delete them. Also, my icloud is upto date but my new photos are no longer streamimg to my photo stream.

Before deleting anything be sure they are actually duplicate photos. If you create an album on your phone, then add photos to it from your camera roll, the photos in the album are not duplicates; they only contain links to the actual photos in camera roll. (Albums are like music playlists; they don't contain the actual photo but just a link to it so that you can look at a subset of your photos.) Thus, if you delete the photo from the camera roll it will be deleted from all albums that may have contained it (just as a song would be deleted from any playlist that contained it if you deleted the song from your music library).
Similarly, photos synced to your iPad from your computer are all contained in the photo library. Just like albums created on your phone, any albums synced to your phone will only contain links to the actual photos in the photo library. If you delete the photo from the photo library, it will be deleted from any albums that may contain it as well. All that said, you can delete photos from the camera roll by either opening them individually and tapping the trash can icon, or by opening the camera roll in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, tapping all the photos you want to delete, then tapping the Delete button at the bottom. To delete photos synced to your iPad from your computer you have to delete them by connecting your iPad to your computer, going to the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings, unchecking the photos you no longer want on your iPad, then syncing. Photos in photo stream are deleted by opening the photo, then tapping the trash can icon.

About a month ago a song randomly appeared in my songs list and when I tried swiping to the left to delete the song it wouldn't slide over to show the delete button. The delete slide appears with all of my other songs except that one. P.S. iCloud is off.

double clicking in iPhoto will open the photo.
The left and right arrow key will move between photos, as well as swiping on a trackpad or Apple mouse.

While selected or in the smaller icon view hitting the Delete key will delete the pic.
Command Z will undo the last action taken.
Periodically you have to empty the iPhoto trash. iPhoto drop down menu>empty trash
Same applies for viewing pics in a Folder NOT in iphoto, Use the up and down arrows does not work in Preview, but as you know in QuickLook (spacebar) the up and down arrows will navigate.

I cannot delete an facebook event from my Iphone 5. This event has been accepted by email invite.
There is no edit or delete button at the top or bottom of the screen when I tap the event to search out its details.

I am not sure how this works but it seems that it may be all or nothing.
To turn off Facebook events on your device:
Settings > Facebook > Calendars > Off

Delete button in ALV Table

Hi,
Does any one have a code sample for the ALV Table Delete button? When I hit the DELETE button the selected row gets deleted but how can I save this deletion to the database table so that when I do a refresh the deleted row does not re-appear.

Hi Kim,
i am sorry but I dont have a sample code for this .. but yes i can tell you a very simple logic here that should work fine ..
When the user clicks on Delete Entry call method say "Delete_entry" and within this you can write code based on this logic..
1) On_Action_Lead_Select should copy the content of that row to another context node say "Selected_Entry"
2) Search for this entry in your internal table/database that was bound to the ALVs context node(data source) and remove it using standard functions
3) again read the database/internal table data and bind it to the context node ..
Your changes will be reflected in your ALV..

Delete Button in Class

Hello All,
I am unable to delete characteristics from a class as the delete button has got disabled. The problem I guess is due to usage of change number. Once I go to the class after giving the change number, I see that the delete button has got disabled.
Can somebody throw some light on how to come out of this issue?
PS:
I want to archive the change master records too!!!

Hi Adithya,
you can undo (revert) all changes related to a change number with CCUNDO transaction.

You have to give the change number and it will delete all modifications which are related to that. You also have a simulation mode I propose to simulate it before undoing.
