Delete Canon camera photo not sync

I would like to delete Canon photos from my iPad 4?
Syncing just adds more photos that I have adjusted through Photoshop.
This incompetent iOS chooses what photos it wants to sync and doesn't ask me what I want.
In the iOS where is the delete button to delete Canon camera photos? NOT the iPad photos which are easy to delete.
iTunes gives me a list of movies, music, apps and home share. Where in the world do you find photos to sync and unsync?
I use my laptop as a backup. I don't want to delete photos just to sync with my iPad to delete photos.
Where do you find the name of the photo on the iPad?

No help so far. I tried to follow the above but there are buttons and devices talked about not showing for me.
Here is what is showing on my laptop for iTunes 11.0.5.5
1)Top left is a button that takes me to iTunes player preferences - nothing in there
2)Next line is the player control for back play forward and a slider button for sound then an Apple then a search box - no help on this line
3)Next is Flie View Edit Controls Store Help - nothing in there to delete Canon camera photos
4)Next is a button that allows me to check Movies Music Apps Home sharing - nothing for those buttons
same line unwatched movies genres home videos list - nothing to delete photos
same line a button that said iPad until I clicked it and it disappeared? setting in iTunes is taken off of autosync(back on after starting iTunes and it is autosyncing) then the last button is iTunes store
To sync photos from a Mac or Windows PC to your device using photo applications
Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed.  ****11.0.5.5****latest version****
In iTunes, select your device's icon in the Devices list on the left. ****Where is the devices icon****See above for Line 4****
Delete photos and videos from your device manually. Open the Photos application, open the Camera Roll, tap the Action button, tap each photo to select it, and tap the Delete button.
Note: For photos and videos you want to save for later, import them to your computer before deleting them from the Camera Roll.
Will not work for pictures taken with a Canon camera. Will work for pictures taken with the iPad camera.
I opened Photos on the iPad
First line is showing the iPad wifi then the time in the middle and far right is bluetooth battery
Next is three buttons Photos - Photo stream - Albums then on the right are the buttons slideshow edit
No where in iTunes can I find anything to do with changing folders or albums or syncing or choosing a device.
Way too complicated just to TRY AND DELETE a few Canon camera pictures.
I guess it is way more difficult to have a picture file manager built in to the iOS. How did the Apple programmers do it for their OS? They don't have to sync with iTunes.
Simplicity with iTunes equals chaos.
I can't figure this iPad and iTunes out when there are missing buttons.
Picture file manager for iOS7?

  • Camera photos not syncing to photostream over wifi, but other photos are?!

    Hi all,
I'm running a MacBook Pro 2011 updated to Lion OSX 10.7.2. iPhoto has been updated to 9.2 and my iPhone has iOS 5.
iCloud is syncing my calendar, mail and iWork items with no problems. The phone and macbook are both connected to wi-fi on the same connection.
The only thing that's not working is Photo Stream.
It's turned on in the Mac settings pane and enabled on the phone. The strange thing is that if I take a screenshot on the phone or if I download a photo from the web (like wallpaper from an app), the photo will show in my photostream.
If I take a photo with the camera on the phone, it isn't being sent to the cloud.
Find My Mac, Mail, Calendar, iWork etc are all working fine. It's just this problem with the photos.
Some advice would be very much appreciated.

    Hi yantaialec,
Once you have insured WiFi is on and Photo Stream is enabled, the only other thing I can think of is to make sure the Camera App is closed for the photo syncing to work.
    From iCloud: Photo Stream Troubleshooting
"Ensure that Camera app is closed on the device where you took the photo. Photo Stream will not upload photos from an iOS device until the Camera app is closed."
You may even want to remove it from the Multitasking Bar just to make sure it's quit and see if it streams.
    What does tech support say?

  • Since upgrading to Maverick my iPhoto does not consistently download my Nikon or my Canon camera photos.

Since upgrading to Maverick my iPhoto does not consistently download my Nikon or my Canon camera photos. Occasionally it will recognize and download photos, most of the time though it hangs in "loading" mode with nothing downloaded. I've unplugged, replugged numerous times, tried a different USB port, tried the two cameras so it's not the camera or line that's the issue, turned the computer off, turned iphoto off, turned everything else off and stil nothing. I need my photos for my work and can't get to them, this seems to be an issue with Maverick AGAIN!!! Is there a fix? HELP! Thanks!

    iPhoto Version 9.5.1
Thank you for your help Terence. I had 140 photos on my Nikon, none were viewable in iphoto, in Image Capture 5 were viewable, 135 weren't. I tried importing one to my desktop but it remained static and didn't move over. I just deleted all the photos on my camera, took a fresh photo and after waiting a good 4 minutes finally uploaded to both iphoto and Image Capture. As this took so long for one photo I'm wondering if the memory in my computer would impact the speed. I have 350GB used and 150GB left
By reformat the cards do you mean the flash card in the camera? I don't know how to do that, it's less that 6 months old.

  • Photo in camera roll not synced to iCloud

I was out in London the other day and used my phone to take some photos, at one point my phone went below 20% battery therefore any photos taken would not have synced to "my photo stream" until phone is placed on charge again then these would re-sync. However I've just noticed that I have one photo less in "my photo stream" and this is a photo taken when iPhone was below 20% battery.
Why has this photo not synced to iCloud? This should have synced once phone was on charge? Why can't I add it manually to "my photo stream".
P.s. I don't want to add it to a "shared photo stream" and I don't want to edit it the photo and save as a new copy and then the new copy is synced to "my photo stream" the photo was taken on a date and it should have synced.
Can someone please shed some light why this disruption has occurred...?
iCloud isn't perfect but it is great for automated syncing, Apple can definately improve on, I think the 1000 photos v 30 day limitation should be increased.
This sync issue has happened to me before but I need to know why this is happening and if it can be fixed. I don't understand why I can't just add it manually to "my photo stream" and it automatically uploads to the correct place so my camera roll is exactly the same "my photo stream" except videos of course until iOS7, thumbs up Apple improve upon this.

That hasn't answered why this problem has occurred and if you read my original question I said I don't want to edit the photo and create a NEW COPY! Yes of course that work but why didn't it upload in the first place!
PLEASE READ THE QUESTION BEFORE LEAVING A COMMENT!

  • Some Photos Not Syncing to iPad 1, but issue is not the photos.

Some Photos Not Syncing:  When syncing iPad1 64gb IOS 5.0.1 w/HP desktop, some but not all jpgs sync from a folder.  (There is ample free space on the iPad.)  The issue is not the photo files as I have verified that the jpg's are all compatible both through Adobe CS5 and by successfully getting the photos to sync to the iPad by making a copy of them and placing this duplicitous copy in a 2nd temporary folder, which then sync's all the jpg's to the iPad just fine.  Still, it makes no sense why they won't all sync from the main photo folder.
[Folder structure is:  Sync My Photos Folder; Subfolder 1 syncs all; Subfolder 2 syncs some; Subfolder 3 syncs all.  But if I add a new Temp Subfolder 2a and copy non-syncing photos in it, then I am able to sync all teh photos.]
This is a very inconvenient situation, and it wastes space on my desktop harddrive as I have to have all the photos in the main folder--not the temp folder--to which they ar assinged.  Has anyone else encountered this, and is there an explanation or solution for this issue?
    Thanks.

  • Photos not syncing with iPod touch

I've been having a weird problem when syncing photos with both 2G, 3G and 4G iPod touches for the last 8 months or so.
Photos that that were taken in a portrait (vertical) orientation using my Canon camera (and synced with iPhoto - currently at v. 8.1.4) are being synced with my iPod touches without any problems BUT photos taken in the landscape (horizontal) orientation are not being transferred to the any of my iPod touches.
It worked fine for years but all of a sudden, the problem appeared. When I sync in iTunes I get an error saying that 'Photo named xx could not be transferred' (or something like that). The message appears for one photo but the problem affects an increasing number of photos (any photo taken since the problem started).
If I edit the landscape photos in iPhoto and change something about these photos (e.g., crop them) then they sync no problem.
The photos taken (and stored in iPhoto) before this problem started are still being synced with my iPods without any problems.
Is this a glitch with the Canon camera which is somehow corrupting the photo's meta data? Or is it a problem with iPhoto or iTunes?
    Any insight/assistance is greatly appreciated!

I have a similar problem with my iPod touch (I think 4th gen, it's software 4.1 anyway)
Sometimes when I sync it comes up with a window saying "no photos were copied to your iPod because there is not enough free space" even though there clearly is. The bar at the foot of the window also indicates that there are photos on there as well. To get round this bug I have to delete some music files and re-sync.

  • Photos not syncing

I am having trouble getting new photos to sync to my ipad.  It keeps telling me that it will delete any photos already on the ipad before installing the new ones.  Is there any way I can add the photos to a file within itunes so that when I sync again the photos will just appear on the ipad with the ones already there?  I was able to do this with some of my music files but don't seem to be able to do it with the photos.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad, not including them in a subsequent sync is how you delete them from it (they can't be deleted directly on the iPad). So you will need to include all the photos that you want on the iPad in the sync.
There are third-party apps such as Simple Transfer which you can use to copy photos to and from the iPad via your wifi network, but they will only go into the Camera Roll album - though as you have iOS 5 you can then copy them into other new albums directly on the iPad, but you won't be able to delete them from the Camera Roll album without also deleting them from all albums that you copy them into.

  • Photos Not Syncing; Photos Missing From Albums, No Error Message, Running iTunes for Windows & iOS 7.1.2

I am having an issue with syncing my photos on my iOS devices running iOS 7.1.2, the two being an iPhone 4s and iPad 2 Wi-Fi + 3G.
When I sync photos, I keep on having photos turn up missing from entire albums. I have tried everything I can to resolve this issue from the support article titled <a href="http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3697">iTunes: Unable to sync photos</a>, and nothing has successfully worked in any kind of permanent form. I have even gone so far as to sync albums individually with a limit of around 400-500 total photos per sync, (give or take), and tried using what very little options I have on the photos tab for my devices in iTunes to essentially trick the devices to sync the missing photos. Despite this, iTunes still fails to sync newly added photos from the source location.
I have even made the attempt of re-installing iOS 7 on both devices, and restoring from backup. Again with no avail.
My best guess for my iPhone is that as it is a 16 GB, not all of 15.6 GB of photos will sync to the device, (go figure), but that doesn't explain why recent photos aren't added OR why my iPad 2 of 64 GB has missing photos.
As of this post, I have an estimated 38,940 files, spread across 1,703 folders, (a large amount of folders being in some of the folders; from my knowledge never being more than two folders in). They are all in one dedicated folder on a hard drive I've dedicated to iTunes and music related files, (for the sake of AVOIDING this kind of nonsense, I might add).
As for the system OS and iTunes, I am running Windows 7 64 bit, and I am using iTunes 11.2.2.3, but will have updated to iTunes 11.3 by the time anyone responds.

I have the exact same problem.
Same kind of photos/videos taken with the same camera randomly sync.
    Did 11.3 fix this issue?
    Sincerely

  • ICloud Photo not syncing + High CPU process (Win 8.1 pro)

This is a new persistent issue with my iCloud and I can't figure out how to fix it permanently because I was able to fix it few days ago, but issues return back a day later! So here's the full story...
I just received a new (AWESOME!!) Surface Pro 3 i5 256 GB tablet with Windows 8.1 professional. I installed iCloud on it as well as iTunes and Quicktime (the basics isn't it?). When setting up my iCloud account first, everything sync up correctly but after a few days (3-4 days), I notice than my Surface tablet are becoming pretty hot and making some fan noise (common Surface issue) when I didn't use it really. So I checked for a high-CPU process and I noticed than "iCloud Photo Stream Downloader" are stuck at 30-35% CPU for an hours ago. Moreover at this point I realized than my photos are not syncing for a few days. I fix the high-CPU process by rebooting, but my photo are still not syncing at all and after a few minutes after reboot, the "downloader" process stuck back to 30-35% and still not syncing!
So I first try some of the workaround found on the internet like sign out iCloud app, then kill all iCloud related process and delete folder %appdata%/Apple/Mediastream and reboot and sign in... same thing... after a few minutes, high-CPU usage + not syncing! I try to "repair" iCloud installation... same thing (high CPU + not syncing)... I uninstalled iCloud + reinstalled... same thing!
I finally fix the situation by uninstalling ALL Apple related software (iTunes, iCloud, Quicktime, Apple Soft Upd, Apple Mobile Sup, Apple App Sup, Bonjour, etc) and thereafter deleting all "Apple_xxxx" folders in %appdata% and also remove all registry keys from the Windows Registry related to Apple. Reboot then reinstall iTunes first and then run "Apple Soft Upd" to install automatically iCloud + Quicktime... then reboot, sign in and then the photo finally sync this time and no high-CPU process!
But a days later... High CPU + Fan noise on the tablet... so checked and the god **** "iCloud Photo Downloader" are again stuck at 30-35% and no more photo sync (I saw the old photos, but not the last day's photo are not sync).
Anybody experience this situation and know how to fix it PERMANENTLY? I checked at my Apple iCloud LOGS and the only thing I saw that can be suspicious is the last line of the log who's :
    [2472 @ Tue Nov 11 19:45:09 2014] [YSLog ApplePhotoStreamsDownloader.exe] defaults key ShouldLog in domain ApplePhotoStreamsDownloader.exe is (null)
    Please help!!

In fact I discovered later I have this issue on all my Windows computers... both Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, both MACs (BootCamp) or true PC computers. Except only the Surface Pro 3 tablet seem to have the HIGH-CPU process issue, but all my other Windows PCs stopped syncing too after a few weeks or so.
I just build a BRAND NEW HP Pro Desktop computer running Windows 8.1 Professional and a few days later iCloud Photo stopped syncing too... this is the straw that broke the camel's back! This PC is brand new and no other software are installed except iCloud, iTunes, QuickTime and Microsoft Office 2013 (Office 365). PC is brand new (1 week old) and iCloud Photos sync is already broken!
I also have a few Windows 7 PCs at home (HTPCs on TVs) where iCloud Control Panel is installed and after looking at them, they stopped syncing too for a while (many months ago) but I didn't noticed it yet because I don't check photos often on them.
For now I just give up and disabled the iCloud Photo Sync completely on all my Windows PCs. It only sync between my two iPads, my two iPhones and my two Macs computer (MBPr + iMac 27") and that's it... that's sad, but I'm tired loosing my time with that crappy software!
PLEASE APPLE!! MAKE ICLOUD FOR WINDOWS BETTER!!

  • New Photos not sync'ing to iTunes

I think this happened before... I noticed that the Photos on Mac is changed. Though I don't really like the interface, I am trying to get used to it... however, once again, the photos are not sync'ing properly to iTunes... I need help... For example: there are more number of photos on my laptop after importing from my phone... Then I grouped them into different Events. However, I am not seeing these being sync back into my phone via the iTunes.
I happened before, and for some reasons, it get fixed by itself. DO you acknowledge these is a problem?

    HI,
Maybe try it this way this is what I did with mine because I did not migrate and didn't know about that either.
and really have the sidebar so because it will help you get the pictures organized
Photos application for Mac Instructions that might help!
On your iPad,iPhone keep the iCloud on in settings for Photos.
if you have not opened the New Photos application yet to have it transfer your photos from iPhoto let it Transfer the Pictures.
once you have all the pictures from iPhoto to Photos then in Photos go to Preferences
there is general and iCloud tab and go to the iCloud and only uncheck the iCloud button that will make it so it doesn't sync with your iPhone and iPad for Photos.
Then in Photos go up to View and press show sidebar because with that view you can move your pictures easier to albums snd delete or move any pictures or make new albums
For Duplicates if you have a big pile in a row and I mean not like every other picture of the same pictures on the keyboard Hold down the shift button. or the other way is to Hold down the Command buttom that is right by the space bar then on the trackpad or mouse click once on the picture you want to delete and do a bunch at a time then on the last picture of that pile either right click the picture and delete or go up to the edit button which is next to file on the top left and click delete in edit.
when you are all done with moving around your pictures or whatever go back to Preferences and turn on iCloud and make sure you have the optimize Mac Storage and then you are done! I hope this makes sense and works for you! here are the 2 pictures I'm talking about in settings.

  • Edited photos not syncing...only originals sync.

I have edited photos on iphoto that do not sync to my iphone. Only the originals sync. I have tried the whole delete ipod cache thing and it didn't work. Any ideas?

    As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

  • Lightroom photos not syncing to desktop

The small collection of photos I have managed to sync up to Creative Cloud will not sync to Lightroom desktop despite the switch being on in the top left window. Is this because I'm only on the trial version?

I removed the link from your post - please always share it privately.
What you should try to do is to
    1. Uncheck your Collection called "My Photo Stream" from syncing if its visible in LrD
    2. Shut down Lr Desktop
    3. Then delete the Sync.lrdata file:
    Win: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Lightroom\Caches\Sync Data\Sync.lrdata
    Mac: /Users/<user>/Library/Caches/Adobe/Lightroom/Sync Data/Sync.lrdata
    4. Restart Lr Desktop and start to sync
    Thanks,
    Ignacio

  • Photos not syncing after update to photo app

photos not uploading to photo app after update, I have over 10,000 photos that are trying to upload and the last import says 2013 instead of last week.   I have a MacBook pro and my icloud sharing is on and I purchased more space so that is not the problem

i can sync movies, music, podcasts and tv shows just fine, but whenever i try to sync photos, then i am getting the exclamation mark and nothing - not even the movies and tv shows that worked before - get synched anymore.
This seems contradictory, I'm not clear whether music, movies etc work for you or not.
In regard to the photos, make sure iphoto sharing is enabled and not blocked by your firewall, you could try creating a new photo library in the same location but with a different name to your existing library to avoid overwriting it, to see if it's a photo library issue or something else.

  • ITunes 7.1 and photos not syncing anymore

I am hoping for a little help from the knowledgeable forum members. I updated to the latest version of iTunes and now my iPod/iTunes will not sync with my photo library in Elements 3.0. It worked fine until now and it is giving me an “unknown error (-50)” whatever that means. I have tried running the “repair” option on installation and I have tried reinstalling iTunes without any luck. Elements 3.0 is running fine. Any ideas…

i'm with CoJeff on this one.
typically it's the firewall with NIS 2005 (or standalone Norton Personal Firewall) that causes grief with iTunes. (we've had these issues dating back to the iTunes 4.8 days with NIS 2005), but every now and then i see reports of that worm protection feature causing grief in similar ways.
the amount of reports of problems with NIS 2006 and 2007 are literally a couple of orders of magnitude less than with NIS 2005. so it may be worth just upgrading to one of the more recent versions.
... if you'd prefer to stick with your 2005, though, let us know and we can try running through a few of techniques we've used to deal with this.
