I am having a problem deleting custom templates in Pages. Could someone please help me?

Go to:

To get to the Library folder, hold down the Option key and click the Go menu in Finder.

  • Custom Page Template

    Hi,
I am using a custom page template accessed via the Shared Components area on the Applications tab. IT seems that when i assign this template to my page the header disappear. But in the Main tag and i quote "Template can display pages with or without banners"
Plz advice how can I use a user-defined template without losing the default oracle banner.
    Best Regards

It is possible to create templates there are a couple of tutorials out there but, they require getting under the hood with some coding.
    Here is one tutorial:
    http://11mystics.com/tools/iweb/create-iweb-templates/
What I typically do is create a page with navigation and duplicate it "right click on the page" then rename the page.

  • May I download Pages in Mountain Lion or must I download iWorks first?

May I download Pages in Mountain Lion or must I download iWorks first?

iWorks is no longer avaialble from Apple.
The applications are now separate purchases from the App Store.
    1. Keynote
    2. Numbers
    3. Pages
You can buy one, two, or all three. They are $19.99 each
Makes it nice you don't have to buy all of them if you don't need them like we used to have to do with the box set of iWorks.

I cannot get pages from iworks to share on Mountain Lion.  Do I need a new version of pages for Mountain Lion instead of iworks?

You need Pages 09 (Version 4) to take advantage of Mountain Lion's iCloud features. You don't say what version you have.

  • I deleted accidentally a purchased mountain lion

i deleted accidentally a purchased mountain lion from the list of purchase items. How i can search my purchased osx lion?

    Have a look at this:

    particularly the "unhiding purchase" part.
Maybe this will fix your problem?

  • How do you manage Pages templates in Lion?

Apple have removed access to the User/Library folder under Lion. How can Pages templates be managed, deleted, renamed etc? Apple should either bring back access to the library folder or update Page, so that a user can manage templates within the Pages Application.

Finder>Go hold the option key >>Library
    make the change in Terminal:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library

  • Problems with pages and mountain lion

Hey i just updated my iwork, and installed mountain lion, solely for the iwork icloud feature. I do a lot of work on my ipad and it would be very useful if they would sync with my macbook. But unfortunately when i create a new document in pages for the icloud it just says the files name and has a picture of a cloud underneath with "waiting" next to it. Why is this??

  • Saving PDF's using Print page on Mountain Lion?

Prior to converting to Mountain Lion I could save PDF's from the Print page, now I get a message saving PDF files when printing is not supported. Unfortunately when I use File>Save and try to email it, I only get the first page in my email NOT the PDF document that I saved.

    hi
you should be able to right click with your mouse on the pdf document and it should show you a drop down menu with 'Open in...' options, Preview should be there?

  • I Cant Upgrade my Numbers and Pages in Mountain Lion

    Dear
When I click to upgrad software in apple bouton, the appstore appair and tell no upgrade available. Then  I Cant Upgrade my Numbers and Pages.I Have juste install Mountain lion.
    Thank for your help

iWork '09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '09 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '09. If it doesn't have the '09 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
You can try the standalone updater found on this page.

  • Pages and Mountain Lion Compatibility

I have upgraded to Mountain Lion and have been trying the new features. In trying out Dictation, I've gotten it to work on most of my apps but it will not work on Pages.  I'm using Pages 08 and wondering if you need Pages 09 for it to work?

    Terrible isnt it.
have you seen a documentary called the Lightbulb Conspiracy?
in it they feature a printer made by a globally recognised brand that includes a chip that makes the printer stop working and ask for repairs once it reaches a pre programmed number of page prints.....
it is everywhere. Highly recommend watching it.

  • I tune page since mountain lion upgrade

Since upgrading to OSX 10.8.2 (mountain lion) i am having difficutly manually syncing my i phone in i tunes. The i tune page will not always show the option of opening my i phone at top rh corner of page (next to i tune store) even if i power down and restart the reopened page will not always show option?
This problem has occured since the latest i tune upgrade, i never had a problem before with previous software/i tune page
Can someone please advise a way to overcome this anoying problem.
    Thank you and regards

I have a home Optimum wifi network with Boost connecting to an Airport, with a second Airport extending, and an Airport Express extending. I have a MacBook Pro, last year's model, two iMacs, a year old each, and an older iMac. (If necessary I can get all the models etc, but I just want to express the problem). The two new iMacs and MBP are running Mountain Lion. The older Lion.
Since upgrading to ML my connection speed both over the wifi and directly connecting to the router has dropped from 30-50 down and 5 up to between 1-4 down and 4 up. I have had the cable folks here to test lines. We've swapped out the modem with a new one. I bought a new netgear N600. Everything led to the same result.
Here's the odd part. When restarting the modem and plugging it directly into the powerbook, initial tests show 30-50 up and 5 down. But once you reconnect to wifi, lose speed, the re-connect directly to the modem the slowness persists directly connected to the modem.
So I start suspecting Mountain Lion. BUT the older iMac cannot be upgraded to Mountain and is still running Lion and has the same issue. The equipment is in the same place it's always been. We've added no electronics that would be interfering with signals.
Everyone is stumped and looking suspicously at the computer and OS. Please help. I'm beginning to hear the bing bong bing bong of dial up in my head.

  • Can't delete old iTunes after Mountain Lion install

I updated my Macbook Pro (late 2008 version) to Mountain Lion and everything was working great until I tried to open iTunes from the Dock and got a message about it being unable to open, investigated the Applications folder and discovered that I now have two versions of iTunes, 10.6.3 and 10.7. 10.6.3 is in the applications folder but 10.7 is in a sub-folder within Applications. In the past I've organized apps in folders according to subject - home office, internet, graphics, games, etc., and have had no problem deleting old versions of Apple apps after system updates by either dragging them to the trash or dragging the updated version into the applicable folder and using the "replace" function. Now I cannot move either the new or old version of iTunes to trash or between folders. I'm getting a message "iTunes cannot be modified or deleted because it's required by OS X".. I've searched these forums and googled the question, and the only solutions I've found have addressed Windows PCs.
From checking the "Get info" panel I can tell that the 10.6.3 version was installed prior to installing Mountain Lion, and 10.7 appears to have been installed either with Mountain Lion itself or in a system update shortly thereafter. I tried unlocking 10.6.3 in the Get Info panel, but that didn't allow me to move 10.6.3 to the trash.
    Thanks for any help.

Sure, but its the best you learn how to use the terminal. OS X is Unix and the most advanced tasks can't be done in the graphical enviroment:
    1. Open Terminal (You should startet in your "home" directory, this is the default)
    2. Type: mdls /Applications/iTunes.app (This will output a lot of information)
    3. Look for the last keyword "kMDItemVersion", it should show the program version (e.g. "10.7")
    4. From now on what to do depends on the position of the iTunes version you want to delete. If this is the most recent version you will leave this file alone. If this is an older version of iTunes you will want to delete it. So there is a decision to make.
    4a. Leave this file
    or
4b. Delete this file with: rm -r /Applications/iTunes.app (maybe the permissions don't allow this to do, I could not test it)
    5. After that you could use the finder to move your regular iTunes version to your desired position
    6. If you most recent version is in an other directory, e.g. /Applications/Music/iTunes.app, you have to do the steps above with this path
It makes sense to locate first the iTunes version you want to delete. You can get this information with the showed mdls command or with the information dialog of Finder. Click in Finder the particular iTunes icon once, so it is selected, show the information dialog (cmd+i).

  • How to delete apple pages templates

    Hi
I would very much like to delete the standard Apple templates that come with the new Pages app.
I just want the Templates Menu to show My Templates only
    Thanks

Pages 5 stores its 'standard' templates within the Application itself.
Apple Applications are "packages" (i.e. folders) - if you go to the Applications folder, highlight pages and choose "Show Package Contents" from the right-button menu, you get a finder window that shows you the contents of the folder.
The Pages 5 templates are found within the package at:
    /Contents/Shared Support/Templates
I imagine you could delete the Templates from here.  But I am not sure how well Pages 5 would tolerate such messing around.  So I guess best thing to do is make a copy of the application in a safe place before you try.
Let us know what happens if you try-out deleting the standard templates.

  • Emailing PAGES spreadsheet one page only - Mountain lion?

Is this a change in Mountain Lion?  Before, if i wanted to email ONE PAGE of my Pages spreadsheet, I'd just click on the "share" button and it would email only that page.  Now that i try that in Mountain Lion, it'll only email the FIRST page.  How can I email only ONE page of the entire spreadsheet, especially if it is a middle tab, not the first page?
    Thank

You probably want to post in the Pages forum for Pages help.
