Delete domains

I have some weblogic domains for testing. If I delete them from E:\Jdeveloper_1113_20101206\user_projects\domains and delete their shortcut from Start menu what should I do next?

HI YE,
Also check with the file "domain-registry.xml" and remove the entry of your deleted domain or else WLS would not let you create a new domain with the same name.

I also did not notice that the Genieo app is in the upper right header bar, it kept saying it was open and I could not figure out how to close it.
I take it you discovered this by reading Thomas' article on manually removing Genieo.  Glad you were able to get through that.
Apparently that Ad Ware removal you have to upgrade to the latest version of OS, which I haven't done because some of my software is not compatible with the upgrades.  So if anyone knows of a Adware that still runs on 10.6.8 let me know.
I just finished rebooting into a 10.6.8 system I keep around for testing and was able to run the Adware Removal Tool just fine. It's a pretty simple AppleScript which should be compatible with any Intel Mac. I'm know for a fact that other 10.6.8 users have been able to run it. What type of error message did you receive?

  • How can reset/delet domain passwaord cache in local machine

    Dear concerns,
I am using a windows 8 operating system, I am member of a domain. Also I am a local administrator of my laptop. I also have made image of my system drive.
Yesterday my windows got stuck and its giving errors regarding  startup application and drivers etc. Now the best solutions at that time to restore the back up. I did it and its restore successfully. But the
problem is when I try to login my domain account it say some error " Trust relationship between this workstation and
domain controller failed". Only way to login is remove the network cable and entre the old password when I created the image of system drive. I even change it after login by pressing CTRl+Alt +Delete and then changed it and it was changed
successfully but the problem is same while login again by putting the network cable back. I googled it then I came know that its some of log sync issue between my laptop and my domain server as I changed password
during this time span i.e. when I created the backup. They also gives quick solution i.e. disconnect from domain and reconnect it to domain but problem is here I don't have the domain password and concern persons are not very welcoming even if they did it what
happen next time when restore it again.
So my question is that how can I reset/delete/clear the information of my domain user id & password or that "log" which
creating the problem, from my system other then disconnect and connect to domain, there must be some way as I am still able to login to other systems of my colleagues with my domain id and current password,
but I don't know why there is not log sync issue at there. I copied all my important data to other partitions so nothing to worry about the loss of data.
Reset/delete of my domain does not mean  I want to do it on the server but on the local machine I think ''clearing the domain cached" is another relative term of my problem. I highly appreciated your cooperation in this regard.
    Best Regards
    Mubasher Mukhtar

    Hi Mubasher!
The only way to recreate the trust between your client and the domain is to remove the client from the domain and rejoin it.
This is due to the fact that the "request" is sent from the server and not your client.
But still, this shouldn't be a problem. I would rejoin the client to the domain and create a new backup since there is a chance that the backup hasn't been completely successful.

  • Can't delete domain record

I'm running a Windows 2000 Server. The server is the domain controller using Active Directory. I have a bad DNS record in the server's "Cached Lookups" that I can't delete. I can see the bad entry (the NS record are incorrect)
in DNS Management console under the server's "Cached Lookups" group. Yet, when I attempt to delete the entry, I get the error message "The domain cannot be deleted. The zone does not exists."
I've tried doing "ipconfig /flushdns" and "ipconfig /registerdns" to no avail.  I also tried rebooting the server.  All to no avail.  And any computer connected to the server that attempts to browse to that website,
ends up not being able to.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to either get the NS record fixed, or just delete the entire entry from the cache?
    Thanks,
    Richard

If you are trying to clear cache on the DNS server you need to use dnscmd /clearcache command. Also you can click on View and advanced optioin in dns console to view the cache tab and you can cleare the dns cache from there.
    Hope it helps.

  • Is it possible to delete domain?

    Hi,
The first time I tried creating a domain, my browser had hung.  When I later accessed http://mymachine:50000/devinf it gave me an error in the "Show Tracklist" section.  I restarted the server and it seemed to have created the domain.
However, I am not able to save tracks in that domain.  It seems to be a separate problem altogether but I'm just wondering if these two could be related.
    1) Is there a way to delete the domain and start from scratch?
    2) Does it matter what I name the domain?  It had defaulted to the SID of my server but I changed it to Tst.
    Thanks,
    Basant

As a matter of fact, should you be patent enough (about 6h) this shall happen too.
All of the new SLD data is posted through the DSBridge back to the CMS few times a day.
Also configurable, but for performance issues, better keep the default settings and do "Update" every time you change the SLD, or the Product/SCs

  • Findout previous deleted domain controller computer name frome SID

    Hi
I recently suspicious that some one in my company join new additional domain controller  to my primary DC and after replication and get the domain controller partitions ,he disjoint the new additional dc .
I got the his event in my dns log :
The DNS server was unable to create a resource record for  d630907c-e2f4-41cf-a2c6-adc087f25f46._msdcs.metro.com. in zone metro.com. The Active Directory definition of this resource record is corrupt or contains an invalid DNS name. The event
    data contains the error.
I want to translate the DNS alias sid :d630907c-e2f4-41cf-a2c6-adc087f25f46
to computer name in order to find who did this?
is there a way to find out previous DC computer name after hey disconnected or DC computer account deleted?
I wonder to know ho did this?
    Regards

The guid you're referring to corresponds to the NTDS Settings object for the "lost" DC. You can do this in Powershell to get the DirectoryEntry for that guid:
    [adsi]"LDAP://<GUID=d630907c-e2f4-41cf-a2c6-adc087f25f46>"
However, if the object has been deleted, you need to perform another query (in Powershell as well):
    $guid = ([guid]"d630907c-e2f4-41cf-a2c6-adc087f25f46")
    Get-ADObject -SearchBase "DC=metro,DC=com" -IncludeDeletedObjects -Filter { objectGuid -eq $guid }
Note that by default you need to be a member of Domain Admins or Administrators to be able to query AD for deleted objects.

  • Problems with deleted domain

Someone created a domain and then deleted it. The domain purge did not work so I deleted the entries with the ldapdelete command on the directory server. The problem now is that when I try to create the domain again on the Delegated Administrator I still get the following error:
    Status: CreateDomain
    Failed:
This container is already in use.
When I run the ldapsearch I do not find this domain. What could be the problem??
I'm using this messaging server version:
iPlanet Messaging Server 5.2 Patch 1 (built Aug 19 2002)
    libimta.so 5.2 Patch 1 (built 23:25:07, Aug 19 2002)
    SunOS mail 5.9 Generic_112233-05 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraAX-i2
    with delegated administrator version .1.2

First, you NEED to upgrade to at least patch 2. Your code is years old.
You should also upgrade your DA, as 1.2p2 has long been available.
There must be something left of your domain entry, or DA wouldn't be choking on it. Examine your Access Log for when you try to add it, and see what search came back with results. Duplicate that search on the command line, and see what that data is.

  • Accidentally deleted domain files trying to create a second site...

This is my first post so please be merciful
I used the freeware iWebsites (that some of you know) and I was attempting to create another website with a different domain name for our church. I accidentally deleted the domain files BUT not before I published a backup to my desktop.
Now when you type the address:
    http://web.mac.com/elementpicturesmaui/
You get the template for the church site:
    http://web.mac.com/elementpicturesmaui/iWeb/New%20Site/Welcome.html
But this is the one I want to keep for my business:
    http://web.mac.com/elementpicturesmaui/iWeb/Site/Welcome.html
    So how do:
    1. I get the first address to go back to my third address.
    2. Create a new web.mac.com address for my church
    3. I guess also to delete that second address?
Thank you very much for taking the time to help.

    So how do:
    1. I get the first address to go back to my third address.
Modify the index.html file on the .Mac server. First, navigate to your iDisk files using the Go menu in Finder, and drag the index.html file to your desktop so that it is copied there.
    Go/iDisk/MyiDisk/Web/Sites/index.html
Make a folder and place this copy inside for safekeeping. If anything goes wrong you can put it back on the iDisk.
Launch your Text Edit.app, and under preferences, in Text Edit, check the box for Ignore rich text commands in HTML files.
Now choose File/Open/iDisk/Web/Sites/index.html. You should see this (or something very close to it) in a Text Edit window:
You will change it to this:
Note that not very much changed here...just the name of the site in the url. Your old site is simply named, Site, in your iWeb application. You are just changing the index.html file to point to that site versus the New Site. So really, all you will do here is delete the word New in the index.html file. Now, File/Save. Not Save As...; just File/Save. Now your short .Mac url (web.mac.com/elementpicturesmaui/) should point to the correct site.
    2. Create a new web.mac.com address for my church
You will need to buy a Domain name and forward it to your web.mac.com address; you could also use the .Mac hosting via a cname alias if you want. Purchase your Domain name from a registrar like Yahoo or GoDaddy.
    3. I guess also to delete that second address?
You can delete these files from your iDisk by simply dragging them to the trash.

  • GW7 - Unable to delete Domain & MTA objects after crash

Yes...I know there are similar threads already on the forums...but I'm still stuck :)
Had a server crash - which was running GW7 WebAccess & hosted a Domain (Domain_3 in our case). And naturally, this server was put together by a long gone consultant years ago - who left little documentation and no current backup (well, we thought we had one...but it didn't restore). So I was left to wing it on my own.
Rebuilt a server from scratch (NW 6.5 SP8). The server sits it's own tree and is in a DMZ off of a BorderManager server (multi-homed - and yes...life on the trailing edge of technology).
I was unable to delete or use the existing GW objects (Domain_3, MTA or WebAccess)...so I created a new domain (Domain_2) and reinstalled WebAccess and the MTA. I used the same IP addresses/ports as the original/crashed server.
This got us back on our feet and WebAccess seems to be working as expected.
I've since tried following various TIDS about grafting the legacy objects into another part of the tree, etc. Unfortunately, the grafting process likewise failed after seemingly creating the domain & MTA objects. An error message indicated that I (as admin) didn't have sufficient rights (hard to believe...). So now I have two Domain_3 objects (w/MTAs, etc.) in different parts of the tree - which are non-functional and un-delete-able (if that's a word).
I also managed to create another temporary domain object (Domain_9) in testing - which now won't allow me to delete it either (ugh)!
I also found numerous pending GW operations - including the deletes, modifies, etc.
Digging deeper - I have some stuck obituaries that are all related to the domain objects that I'm trying to get to disappear. Of course, I tried to free these stuck obituaries following various TIDs (which I've done in the past for other non-groupwise objects stuck in limbo) - but failed. I'm not sure if this is a cause, an effect, or just collateral damage...
So I'm 10 miles past frustration...and have obviously hosed this pretty well...
Any suggestions or guidance on where to focus my attention first?

That's how I ended up with a 2nd copy of Domain_3 :) I created a temporary container - and tried to graft Domain_3. It created a domain object and a MTA - before failing (the error said I had insufficient rights to complete the task). Naturally, I couldn't delete these new objects either once they were created I performed this action as "admin" - authenticated to both trees (the GW objects are actually in our production tree).

  • Delete domain/server

    I would like to know how to delete/drop a domain/server from WLS7. I created a
test domain with an Admin test server. Now I would like to permanently remove

Is wiping out the corresponding folders the only option or is there any other

    Appreciate any help/suggestions.

I was wondering if you ever got an answer. I created a test domain and I'd like

  • Need help - Deleted domain and can't re-add - Error domain already exists - Site down

In trying to reconfigure our domain setup, I removed the main domain name in an attempt to re-add it so that it does not point to an external DNS server.
I deleted the domain and now when I try to re-add it, I get the following error:
Domain already exists.  Please delete all records associated with this domain before re-adding it.
I have no way to submit a ticket when I go to help and support and our site is now down from the main page.  I need help ASAP.
I was able to submit a case when I switched browsers (Chrome apparently does not display the search bar/case submission).  The case is
    OBNW5020171
The domain I am trying to re-add is surfaid.org

    Hi,
I just wanted to followup to see how this case is progressing.  This is
very URGENT as our main URL is down and we are in the final stages of a
major campaign where participants have been instructed to go to our website
to sign up which could result in a loss of a lot of donations.
Any priority this can be given would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you!

My Domian has been overwritten. Subsequently I can no longer edit my webpage with Iweb. All the files still exist on my idisk (almost 4gigs) and the website still works.

    Hi
    1. Deleting a domain will not hold any references. But make sure that under your user_projects/applications also remove the folder that matches with your domain. Basically under user_projects folder you will see 2 folders named applications and domains. When you create a domain say mySoaDomain, it will crate a folder with the same name under applications folder also with few files like em.ear. If you do this, then you can crate a new soa domain and use the same old name.
    2. NOW comes the most important thing. If you create a new SOADomain, at one point, you had to give details for soainfra and mds schemas. If you give your current existing db details (that was used for your old deleted domain), then you may still have the issues. Because the soainfra db may still have the instances for your old process.
    3. If you really want to have a full clean soa domain, here is what you do:
    a) Run rcu and drop the existing schemas for soainfra and mds.
    b) Run rcu again and create above schemas again.
    c) Now create SOADomain using config wizard and refer above clean rcu db and you are all set.
    3. Under your domain root folder, just searh for files named with your workflow and you should see the .jar location.
    Thanks
