  • HT201441 How do I update my apple ID for find my iphone when it is linked to an old deleted email address that is not recoverable

I recently changed my apple ID after I deleted my old email address which is no longer recoverable. I cannot get the find my iphone app to work. When I log in to try and change my apple id to the current one, or delete the account, it asks me for my password to the old email (apple id). I have no idea how to change this to be current. The password for my old apple id will not work and I am going in circles. When I log into the app and use my current apple id it does not locate any of my devices. They all say they are offline but are not. Any suggestions or help on how to unlink my old apple id to this app??

    Hello Fatboy896,
You may need to temporarily change your Apple ID back, sign out of iCloud on your device, then revert the change to your Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Go to Settings > iCloud. Complete these steps only if the Find My [Device] setting is turned on:
Scroll down and tap Delete Account, then tap Delete to confirm.
Tap “Keep on My [Device]” or “Delete from My [Device].” In either case, your data remains in iCloud and will be updated on your device when you sign in to iCloud again.
Enter the password for your previous Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Return to Settings > iCloud and sign in with your new Apple ID.

  • Find email addresses that are not in your address book

When you start typing an email, addresses popup that you have typed before, some are not in your address book so where do they live?

In Mail, you can go to the Window menu and choose Previous Recipients. This is a list of email addresses to which you have sent messages. It is separate from your contact list in Address Book.

  • How do I save autocomplete addresses that are not in my contacts

My girlfriend uses my iPad running 4.3.3 firmware. When sending email, it auto-fills frequently used addreses, most of which are not stored as contacts in the address book. I want to upgrade the iPad to the latest firmware. Is there any way to back this up? You never know what you need until you type that name you type every day to send an email and it doesn't show up - that happened to me after upgrading my phone from iOS6 to iOS7.
So is there any way to either a) force all the autocomplete emails to become actual entries in the Address book that can be backed up, or b) transfer all those addresses somewhere and restore after upgrading?
    Thanks!

    Anyone?
Perhaps another non-Apple Utility can delete the orphan files?

  • Weird Bounce-back of an email address that is not even in my contacts!

    Hey folks,
Recently I have been getting a bounced back email from an address that is not even in my contacts (I use outlook). It's only when I send an email to a particular person. She gets the email, but I get this bounce back from a SIMILAR email. It is annoying, and confounding.
I have scanned my laptop regularly with updated McAfee and Spybot, and have found nothing. I am using Vista Home and it is all updated as well.
    Thanks!
    Jim

If the message is being received and you are only sending to a single address on the sending line, then I would say the error is likely on the receiver's end (maybe they have a forward setup to the bogus address?).  If you could include the full headers (email addresses redacted) of the message which is bouncing back, maybe someone here can spot something and suggest something further.

  • How do i remove an email address that is not connected to a contact

How do I remove an email address that I used once and it keeps popping up when I try to send an email that starts with the first letter of that email addy I used one time?

The only way to remove those email addresses is to do a factory restore of the phone which wipes all data. In my opinion, easier to live with the address.

  • Several emails have been sent from an electronic email address that is not mine which disables me from sending mail due to exceeding quota.

At 3:29 est I received 2 email from a Mark Kemsley titled quotation jrhfexl which I opened. A few minutes later I tried sending an email and an error message showed saying that I had exceeded my quota. However I have only sent 1 email today. I checked my sent folder and I saw several emails sent from an electronic email address that I am unaware of. Has my email been hacked? If so what can I do about this problem?

Start computer in Safe mode and run scans for virus's, malware etc.
Then restart computer normally and logon to webmail and change password.
You will need to update password in Thunderbird if it has been instructed to remember it.
Contact your ISP or Google etc depends on where the email account is with.
Tell them your problem of exceeded quota and that someone has been using your email address without your knowledge. They may be able to see if it was from a different IP address from yours and offer more help.

  • How to delete webintelligence objects that are not viewed

    Hi,
I need to find a way to delete the objects that have not been viewed in the last 12 months. We are using Business Objects XI 3.1 here. I've already looked for this feature around a lot of sites and foruns, but I still have not found anything.
We have over than 2.500 webintelligence objetcs in our environment. A lot of them are useless. So we would like to clean up the reports that are not viewed by the users. Maybe we would use this feature one time every year.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gustavo Borges

We decided to clean up the old documents taking a look to their last modified date. It'll be easier and we won't loose important documents. That is gonna be enough for us.
    Thanks,

  • How to delete an iCloud account and turnoff Find my Phone for a email address that does not exist

I have switched my itunes account to a new email address but the iCloud account is still registered to the old email account which I can no longer access.
If I go to Settings>iCloud it requests my Apple ID password for the old email account but as this account does not exsist it does not accept the "old" password. it will not let me delete the account without turning off the Find My Phone app which aslo needs the old password.
A related probelm is none of my apps will update as they are on the old account hence the need to delete the iCloud email account and create the new iCloud with the new email sign on address.

If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address (you won't need to verify it) and save the change.  You should now be able to use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID.  After turning it off you can delete the account, go back change your ID back to the way it was again.
