Delete Game Center

How do you delete, diable, or neutralize game center? I deleted the app from my phone with OS 5 now it is back & I can find no way to have it stop bugging me since I DO NOT WANT TO SHARE ANY GAMING WITH ANYONE. I just keep on popping up & when I log off it bugs me to log on.

I feel your pain. I do at least these:
Settings > Notifications > Game Center (turn off)
Settings > General > Restrictions > Game Center (2 to turn off)

Game center can not be deleted. Move it to a folder for unused apps.

How do I remove an application from my iPad? Let me explain. I know you hold your finger (or stylus) on the application and after a while all applications wiggle and if you push a circle that appears with an X on the top left of the application, and the application vanishes. My problem is that this does not always happen. Sometimes the circle with the X does not appear.
Let me explain further. I did the software upgrade today to version 4.2.1 and an icon appeared with all my other applications called "Game Center". I have explored the contents of that icon and I am not interested in it at all. I hate to have an icon cluttering my iPad, particularly if it is one I did not create by making a mistake. When I hold my finger to "Game Center", eventually applications wiggle and the circle with the X appears in all of them except in the one I want to remove, "Game Center".
I will be very grateful if someone tells me how to remove "Game Center". Thanks in advance.

Yes, you explained how to create a folder, but your explanation did not work for me. Perhaps 'Game Center' is not an application? Let me explain.
I never use iPod, and now I have Game Center, which I don't use. After you posted your suggestion, I pressed 'Game Center', waited until all the applications wiggled, and then I dragged 'Game Center' to 'iPod'. No folder was created. What happened was that the iPod application decided to avoid the Game Center application and no matter how insistent I was, they did not merge or create a folder.
I guess I just have to live with those applications -if they are called applications as I'm not sure of this since they don't behave as the majority of applications- Apple insists I exhibit in the iPad. I hope we will not gather one of the unwanted ones in every software update.

Why can't I delete game center?

I don't use it and it constantly prompts me to sign in when I use certain games. Let me delete it, Apple!!! I hate it.

Nonoe of the built-in apps can be deleted. If you want to leave feedback for Apple then you can do so here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html - until if/when you can hide or delete it then you could move it into an app folder where it's less visible

Since it's not possible to actually delete Game Center, I can only think of two things: either Restrictions are enabled that stop it from appearing, or it's been moved to a folder or home screen where you don't expect to find it.
The first thing I'd try is opening it using Spotlight or Siri. If you say to Siri "Open Game Center" and it doesn't know what you're talking about, then it's probably restrictions that are blocking Game Center and stopping it from appearing. Similarly, if you don't see it when typing its name into Spotlight (the home screen at the far-left that is darker than usual, and which has a Search bar for you to type the names of things you'd like your iPad to search for), then this again points to restrictions.
If Siri and/or Spotlight can see it and open it without any problems, though, then it's definitely still there - you'll just have to go hunting through all your folders and home screens until you find it. If it just seems to reuse to open no matter what, then check your Restrictions settings (in the General section of the Settings app).

IPad 3, iOS 6. I am not interested in gaming community. I want to delete Game Center and stop all notifications. How can I remove my ID from GC? I logged out but that doesn't help. I turned off notifications, but that didn't help.

YAHOO! - so to speak. That was it. The pref pane in Guest looked normal. So I went back (in full boot) and deleted any pref file I could find for AddressBook. Now I look normal . . .
. . . and **** if that Sync w/ Yahoo! WAS CHECKED. I un-checked it.
While I was searching for stuff to delete, I also found this weird pref file 'com.apple.yahoo.synctool.plist' . . .
Can't find anything called a SYNCTOOL. Hopefully this will end the annoyance. Thank you very much for your insights and aid.

Shut Down Game Center

How Do i, or is there a way to Turn Off Game Center? Almost every game i start ask me if i want to sign into Game Center.. and i always say NO. Is there a way to stop this? A way to turn it off forever? Make it go away.? Should i Delete Game Center from my phone? Or is the Game Center login built into each game and i have no option but to say No each and every time?

You can COMPLETELY disable Game Center prompts and greetings, and still enjoy Game Center-enabled games.
1) If you have signed up for Game Center and now wish to opt out, launch Game Center. Click on your account name, and select "Sign Out" from the pop-up.
2) Launch "Settings" and select "Notifications." Under "In Notification Center" find and select Game Center.
3) Turn all the sliders to "OFF," and set "Alert Style" to "None."
That's it. You will have no more annoying alerts telling you you're not signed in to Game Center, and urging you to sign up. You will have no more annoying "Welcome back" greetings every time you play a Game Center game.

Dragonvale on game center

Does anyone know why my friends disappeared in my friends list on dragonvale but still on game center...and if there is something I can do to fix this ?

You are answering your own question. You are using the same Apple ID and the same game center ID on both devices.
Not using the same ID on both devices would be the way around this.
You cannot delete game center, but you can sign out and sign in with another Game Center ID.

Hi,
Sounds like what you want to do is evict the item from the cache, rather than remove it. Evicting the item is effectively saying the entry in the cache is out of date, and Coherence should retrieve it from the database should a new request for the key come in.
You can set up eviction either through config, (to evict after a period of time or when the cache reaches a certain size), or pragmatically using an entry processor, (which calls remove(true) on the entry passed to it. The 'true' means evict rather than delete).

How can i delete an old profile off game center when i dont know the password?

i set up an account on game center when i first got my old iphone and have since upgraded my iphone. i cant remeber the password for it and so cant log in. i cant seem to reset the password but when i play games i get a prompt telling me that no achievements will be saved until i log in. i have opened a new account on game center but still get the prompt from the old account!!! can anyone help?

If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).
