I am trying to delete an album from itunes match on my macbook pro . I have an ipad and an iphone alse . But when I go to itunes mat on my macbook it says if I delete the album it will be deleted from all my devices. I only want to delete it fom my ma how do I do this . I have never had this messag before

If you delete the track from your macbook you should get a warning about deleting the track from the cloud:
If the track has already been deleted from your hard drive, you will get a message telling you that it will be deleted from all devices.

I have itunes match running on my mac mini and it works fairly well. Unforuntely I believe my son has matched all the songs on my PC which is connected to a different library. I now have loads of duplicates and many,many split albums. How can I remove all itunes match data and start again with the library that is on my mac. The track will actually be hidden in the cloud, but, yes if you choose to do so the track will be removed from the cloud.

Can't delete in iTunes Match

I know the way how to delete but it didn't work.
When I delete a song with setting the "delete this song from iCloud" option, it seems to be deleted but after syncing it still exist!
For example:
Before deleting I've got 761 songs in Match
I delete 10 songs with "Also delete this song from iCloud", empty the trashcan and start match sync
After 2 Minutes iTunes Match told me, there are 761 songs available - nothing will be deleted

If the download icon is still shown, this means that the tracks are still in the cloud. Select them again and delete. This time you will get a warning message telling you that the track will no longer be available in match.
Is it your intention to completely delete those tracks. Do you have a back up?

Delete entire itunes match library

I have a maxed out the itunes match icloud storage limits.....many, many songs are truncated at the end of songs when syned to ipods and iphones.
Based upon reading other posts, I seemingly need to remove my entire library and re-match to the cloud. How can this be done simply ? I'm nervous about possibly deleting my entire library on the NAS drive I have.

I think the easiest way to do this is to create a new, empty library and delete the tracks from there.
1. Launch iTunes while holding down the Option key and choose "new library."
2. Enable iTunes Match on this library and let it do it's thing.
Once it is done you can delete the tracks from the cloud but not worry about deleting the actual files. You will probably be able to only delete about 1000 tracks at a time, but keep updating iTunes Match and this will accomplish what you want to do.
After this is finished you can then switch back to your original iTunes library and add albums or artists at your leisure.

Did you figure out how to do this RHW? I have the same issue - I started uploading songs from a laptop at home, and then decided to make my work computer the 'home base' machine for storing all the song files. I deleted all songs from the laptop, selecting 'remove from iTunes match' as I went, and now iTunes match shows a little 'x' in all the cloud icons. So I'd like to start over and match from my work computer, but I don't seem to have that option.
If I click on a single song, I am prompted to 'add this song to iTunes match' and it works, but I can't do this for a large batch (5000+) of songs at once. Hence the desire to just start over. Please let me know if anyone has figured this out.

To delete a song from both iTunes and the cloud, first delete the track from the iTunes library. When the dialog pops up ask if you want to delete it from the cloud also, select the checkbox and click OK.

ITunes Match won't recognize my MBA equipped with a new SSD

Here's the situation: I replaced the SSD in my late 2010 MBA to add storage space. Everything went perfectly well and I have been using it for weeks, no problem whatsoever with any of my iCould stuff - calednar entries, contacts etc. as everything was transferred over by making a back-up of the old SSD onto the new one and re-instlaling Mavericks to the new one.
I also have been using iTunes Match for years and love it: ATV, IOS devices are all connected and work perfectly. Until I tried using iTunes Match on the MBA equipped with the new SSD. Note that my iTunes music (not the library file) sits in an external drive connected to my Home network which I don't currentl have access to. That's also teh reason why I signed up for Match: once synced, I didn't have to connect to tht drive and could travel while still having access to all my music.
The library only sees two local songs that were downloaded recenrly after I purchased them on the iTunes Store. I'm still using the same Apple ID nothing changed, but iTunes isn't showing any of my iTunes Match songs in there. I checked Match had been turned on (it is), I checked that I didn't max out on the number of devices (I haven't) and even checked availability of iTunes Match in other countries (temporarily in France), but otherwise residing in the US.
So now, when I try to "add this computer" to iTunes Match, it gives me the following error:
Only one library can be matched at a time. If you continue, the other iTunes Match session will be stopped and this computer's library will be matched instead.
=> Seeing that the "old" library and the "new" one technically come from the same Mac (only now it has a new SSD drive), I'm at a loss and scared to have all of my previously synced/matched songs deleted from itunes Match if I only sync the two local files that were just downloaded/purchased. <=
Would appreciate any help or suggestions please.

You often get this message when match thinks that you already have a match in progess on another computer.
If you are happy that all your music is on your new hard drive (or if it is only in the cloud), you should select "this computer".

Itunes Radio choppy or hard to play after upgrading to an itunes match account?

Hello friends,
am seeking some help since I have no idea what might be causing the issue. I've been working on this during my freetime for quite a while, but I'm stumped. Hoping some of you can help me.
Basically, Itunes Radio (and my match songs for that matter) are having a hard time playing on my iPhone 5c, which has recently been updated to ios 8.1. The iphone is a 32GB phone and has plenty of space for apps and third party music players but it is not so great for a huge library. But, the main reason I upgraded to an itunes match account was because of the ability to play itunes radio without any commercials. Well, there's no commercials... but i'm also unable to play itunes radio on my iphone. It plays just fine on my Macbook Pro (2010), with an updated yosemite but whenever I try to play a radio or song from my itunes match library it goes for about 30s, then just...stops, goes 30s ... then stops. So basically, it SOUNDS like an internet connection issue.... but.... well, let me list the things i've already tried.
-- power cycle (slide to power off); same thing
-- hard restart (power + home button at the same time); same thing
-- updated the device; same thing
-- reset network settings; same thing
-- reset ALL settings; same thing
-- restored device to factory settings; same thing
-- different wifi; same thing
-- using cellular data; same thing (lasts longer, though...interestingly enough).
-- turning itunes match on/off; same thing
-- deleting & syncing itunes match; same thing.
-- restore device & set up as new; same thing (worked for about 2 songs).
-- changed all songs to AACC format; same thing
(same thing = same symptoms, in case you didn't catch that. ;-) )
I am out of ideas at this point. Anybody want to throw anything at me? I'm seriously willing to try ANYTHING that doesn't require me to wait.
Should note that I use comcast as my internet provider, we have several internet boosters in the house (hence multiple wifi.... my father needs wifi for work so we have a backup plan for the back up plan) and I have recently gotten in contact with comcast for an unrelated netflix issue.

ITunes Match on my iPhone shows songs that are not in iTunes on my Mac and PC.

Yes, I know that deleting songs from iTunes does not necessarily mean they are deleted from iTunes Match, too. Not checking the box when deleting songs is definitely not why this is occurring, so hear me out. My Mac hosts my main iTunes library. What I do there, is synched with iTunes Match. In iTunes in Boot Camp, I have no local files, so all that iTunes on Windows shows me, are the songs that are matched with and uploaded to iTunes Match. As far as I can tell, it's exactly the same as my main library on my Mac.
It's a different story on my iPhone, though. There are songs that show up on my iPhone that I have deleted on my Mac. Some several times, even. A little while ago, I ripped one of my CDs and had it matched with iTunes Match. I made some changes to the metadeta afterwards, though, so I deleted the songs and added and matched them again. And again, that same day. I did the same things with a single song.
And now I'm stuck with three copies of the album and of the song in iTunes Match. But the weird thing is, that only one of each shows up in iTunes on Windows. That library, again, does not have any local music; it only shows what's in iTunes Match. I have tried disabling iTunes Match on my iPhone, I have deleted all local content on my iPhone, I have deleted the album and the song – the files that are showing up multiple times on my iPhone – from my Mac, updated iTunes Match, re-added the files and updated Match again. Unfortunately, none of this helped.
After deleting the files and updating Match, I saw only two instances of the album and the song in question, instead of three. After re-adding them and updating Match again, there were three of each again. That means that there are two instances of the album and of the song 'stuck' in iTunes Match. And yet they don't show up in iTunes on either OS X or in Windows.
Why is this happening? And, more importantly, how can I fix it? In the grand scheme of things, this is obviously a minor problem, but it's annoying me a lot nonetheless.

Is there really nobody else with this problem? Really?

How to get rid of iTunes match artefacts on iPhone?

After using iTunes match with iTunes on Windows, I've decided that I wanted to have full control of what is synced to my iPhone4 and disabled iTunes Match on the iPhone. I'm using a secondary iTunes library on my PC now to sync with the phone while I still have iTunes match in place for use with my Apple TV.
Problem is, that after disabling iTunes match on the iPhone, it still shows leftover iTunes match contents, e.g. in the Albums list of the music application. The problem existed with iOS 5.0 and is still there after upgrade to iOS 5.1.
Is there any way for me to get rid of the iTunes match artefacts on the iPhone? They are also dysfunctional, i.e. cannot be downloaded, played, etc...

After reading https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3593632? my problems are still the same:
I cannot delete the iTunes match albums from the phone similiar to not being able to play them
I cannot disable "show all music" as that would require me to enable iTunes match again on the phone which is what I don't want
I'm thinking about trying to re-enable, change the setting, wipe the albums, disable again and then sync with local library. I'll report after testing..

ITUNES MATCH automatically renewed so I'm screwed until October 2013.
That means, I ( and you) cant update credit card details with billings address etc
no more apps

Hey Apple: iTunes Match Needs Web UI!!

I wish it wasn't the case, but you cannot add ripped tracks into iTunes Match, or delete any iTunes Match tracks, without using either OS X or Windows iTunes on a regular desktop/laptop machine.
I recently moved to a 100% iOS ecosystem. I just sold off my MacBook and Mac Mini and we rely entirely on our two iPads, two iPhones and Apple TV. My iTunes Match currently has 7,000+ tracks uploaded using OS X. There are some tracks and audiobooks up there I would now like to delete - but I can't. I also still have numerous old vinyl albums I would like to rip and upload - no can do.
Anyone had any ideas on how to do this?
What I need is a web UI into my iTunes Match library, with the ability to upload tracks from internal or external storage. C'mon Apple ...

There is nothing you can do at present if you don't have a Computer with Itunes.
