Delete iPad iTunes Downloads queue

I purchased a sit com series on my iPad and then paused the downloads. I have watched the series through Apple TV and do not require downloading them to my iPad now. It's around 7GB in all. How do you clear the iPad iTunes download queue now? Swipe does not work nor is there an option to delete.
I would rather not download the data only to delete again.
I've read similar threads in the forum but none match this exact situation.
Thanks.

I've ran into that buying a movie. You cannot cancel it. It has to finish downloading then delete it. I tried emailing apple, they told me to do it that way. I also heard they can clear your queue(apple), but that didn't happen to me. Sorry, I looked everywhere as well. I would buy a movie on my iPad to watch on atv and I had to do it that way. I just purchase from tv now and download later on MacBook or iPad if I want it.

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple. If you've tried deleting them and they keep re-appearing in your downloads then you will need to try contacting iTunes Support to get them removed : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/

  • Deleting apps from download queue

How can I delete a paid app from my download queue? It was not successful as I did not have billing details.
I have an app which I bought for $1.99 (I think) on my iPhone. When I wanted to install it on my iPad, I found an app with a same screenshot and name as the one I already purchased but priced at $24.99 and with a different developer. I clicked install as I thought it should install without asking for payment details, but it did. I do not want to pay for it if I have to.

    You cannot.

  • Itunes download queue?

    Hi there,
I have successfully downloaded all available episodes of a TV series to my iPad with no problems but now for some reason every time i visit iTunes all episodes remain in my download queue.
Is there any way to remove them?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

Contact the iTunes Store Support Team at this email link. Explain your problem. Only they can clear your download queue.

  • Can't remove two songs from iTunes download queue

Trying to download songs in a playlist with iTunes Match. Got most of the songs, but two are stuck in the download queue. Retry gives an immediate error. Swiping from right to left on a song does not present the delete option it should. I have signed out of iTunes and restarted the iPhone. Lot of other music already on the phone so I am trying to avoid a complete reformat. Any ideas?

I never laughed in all my life. Here I was, inserting the cd Dance with Me, thinking it's not going to copy the whole thing. yeah, right.
Sure, it prompted me, Do I want to replace the songs, so of course I said "no, don't replace the songs". and guess what it did. It copied the whole cd (at least I got my two songs).
I went into the itunes library, and sure enough, all the songs were there twice. So what did my intelligent brain think of? I just unchecked the doubled songs and stuck my ipod into my computer and it synched up and I got what I wanted.
Now what did I do wrong when it prompted me. I clicked on "don't replace" and it replaced them anyway.
Am I dumb? or is itunes stupid?
    thanks, Melody

  • How do I delete an iTunes download before download completed

I purchased a movie from iTunes but changed my mind. Can I delete before the download completes?

And expanding on what Demo said, you cannot delete a download still in progress. You'll have to let it complete, since it will just keeping coming back and downloading.
Sorry you are experiencing "buyer's remorse", but in general no download store, for media nor software, will refund your money solely because you changed your mind and decided you don't want the item, since there's no way as such to "return" a download item.
    Regards.

  • How to delete items in download queue

I've got a number of TV shows in my download queue that I decided against purchasing.  They have never been downloaded.  I delete them manually from the queue, but they keep reappearing.  How can I delete these items permanently?

Sorry, but I find it very annoying that you can't cancel  something you downloaded when you got it for free (for example, the free songs, books, and apps that Starbucks offers). I  don't mind downloading the songs because they are short, but  when I  download a free TV show and then it tells me it's going to take 4 hours to download because it's 1.4 gigabytes, I want to be able to cancel the download permanently. As it stands now, it keeps coming back on the queue. There should be an option to cancel the download permanently.  I have called Apple  once already to discontinue a long download and they helped, but I don't think  Apple customers  should be required to call them to cancel a download, nor should we be required to wait 4 hours for a download to complete before deleting it.

  • Deleting items from download queue

How do I delete items from my download queue permanently?
I know you can just delete them... but they always come back!
I had bought season 3 of supernatural a while back, and I know they messed up some stuff and just fixed it, which is nice, but I don't want to download them all! I have a data transfer limit per month and having the whole season download would kill me.

i have the exact same problem.
i've ordered two episodes of lost but instead of getting just the smaller file version, it came with HD copies and these are choking my satellite connection. i'd love to delete them and i seem to remember i can do so but that info's not easy to find (at least i can't find it.)

  • Ipad itunes downloaded causing storage issue

I had no idea my itunes music, photos and video's were so large that they have taken up about 50% of the storage on my new ipad. How do I delete them without losing them on my imac and iphone?

You must first sync your iPad with iTunes on your Mac!
Then you choose for "Manualy sync Music and Videos" in iTunes, then you can go to the tabs above, like Apps and uncheck there what you don't want on you iPad, the same for Music, Photos and Videos, then sync again.

  • Ipad itunes download movie location

I recently purchased and downloaded a movie on my new iPad mini. If I search again in iTunes I can find my movie and start playing it. But are there other ways to see my downloaded movie or get a list of purchased/downloaded products?
Can I also move my downloaded movie to my Time Capsule?
    Thank you.

I found out it is in the movie app. But can I watch this movie on my macpro too by moving it to the Time Capsule?

  • HT201272 iPad iTunes download issues

I have purchased some tv episodes to watch on a plane journey.  They are appearing in my iTunes purchases.  When I press the cloud download button, the download begins and gets to the end, processes & then disappears & nothing appears in the downloads? Am I doing something wrong?

Thank you so much, what an idiot, I didn't even think to look there! Just assumed they would stay in the 'downloaded' section like they do in the iplayer. I don't use the iPad for music so it didn't occur to me to look somewhere else! Now i understand why all my memory was being used up too as i downloaded them all loads of times! Doh! Thanks for your help!

  • ITunes downloads stuck in queue

I Have two movie rentals stuck in the iTunes download queue and they keep giving me error messages, cannot download at this time. a box pops up to click retry or done, retry does nothing. If I click the items to continue downloading it continues giving me the error. The thing is I can't even rerent them, if I go into the store it won't let me download again. How can I either delete them or get them to download? Tried restarting, closing iTunes etc nothing works!

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

  • Hi all, I'm trying to download a film from iTunes onto my iPad but downloaded the HD version instead of SD and don't have the room to download it. Have removed everything I can to make space but still need another 1.2 GB. How can I delete it??

Hi all, I'm trying to download a film from iTunes onto my iPad but downloaded the HD version instead of SD and don't have the room to download it. Have removed everything I can to make space but still need another 1.2 GB. Is there any way I can delete it so I can delete the version I wanted, or even better change to the SD version? The film is still queuing in the downloads list. I've tried edit and delete but that doesn't work. I also can't re-download the film from iTunes.
    Any suggestions very welcome!

Try to connect in recovery mode, explained in this article:

  • 325 downloads waiting in iPad iTunes! How to delete?

When I open the iTunes app in my iPad 2 (iOS5) it shows there are 325 songs waiting to download. These songs are already in my iTunes library on my iMac, the same library I sync my iPad to. I'm using iCloud. I was using iTunes Match but I turned it off on the iPad because I felt it was screwing up my library. When I buy music from the ITMS on the iPad it enters the queue at the bottom of the 325 songs and downloads okay. I want to clear this queue without having to select the download arrow beside 325 songs that don't need to be downloaded anyway. How do I do that? I sent an email to ITMS support and they answered that they cleared my download queue but that had no effect on the songs waiting on my iPad. Apparently the store is not a part of the problem or the solution. Am I going to have to totally wipe this iPad clean and restore, or is there some other way? Thanks.

    1. If album was created directly on the iPad then you should be able to delete it using the Edit button.
    2. If album was synced from a computer then it can't be deleted directly on the iPad, you will need to reconnect the iPad to your computer's iTunes, de-select that album/folder on the Photos tab and re-sync.

  • Deleting download queue on iPad 1

I have several items with download errors stuck in my download queue in iTunes on my iPad 1 that I'm unable to delete or download. I've talked to iTunes customer support and these downloads only show up on this device, not on my account with apple. Wondering if anyone has solved this particular issue with iTunes on the iPad? (I wish apple would put a edit button on that screen!)

    Hey there folks,
I have had the same problem and I found this thread. Perhaps, by now you have already found the answer to your problem, but if not, try this. Very simple and I should have thought of it. Works like a charm and I would assume that it would work on an iPad 1 as well. I found the answer on this page: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3612938?start=0&tstart=0
To get rid of the download error, go to the download page and find the small down-pointing arrow icon next to the "download error. Tap to retry." text.  Put your finger on the down-pointing arrow icon and flick (quick short swipe) to the left.  The down-pointing arrow icon will be replaced with a "delete" button.  Tap the delete button.  Then confirm the delete in the modal popup window.
That's it.  An easy solution, even though it took me many hours to find the answer.
