Delete Mailbox in Messaging on E63??

I used Nokia Messaging to setup my Gmail account on my E63 and now I want to remove the Gmail from my phone because I was never able to get my mail to send.  I go to Messaging (either from my home screen or from Menu, Communic, Messaging) and see the following folders/icons: New Message, Inbox, My Folders, Gmail (mailbox I would like to delete), Drafts, Sent, Outbox, Reports.  I click on Gmail and hit Options, expecting to see a "Remove" or "Delete" option but there is none.
Does anyone know how to get rid of this mailbox??  I think I have checked every option on the phone but I must be missing something.
Meanwhile, I have successfully (I am able to send and receive) set up another one of my email addresses (again using Nokia Messaging - through their website on my PC) and this account is accessed when I push the email button on the phone BUT when I scroll up to the messaging folder on my home screen, it opens the Messaging Folder and I see the Gmail mailbox there and not my other email account.  I also deleted the Gmail account from the Nokia Messaging website on my PC.
How do I get my new email account to show up in the Messaging area and get the Gmail mailbox out of there??
Thanks!

In this menu youre describing, press options -> settings -> email -> here you see your configured mailboxes. Press options in this menu to remove the one you like to get rid of.
edit:this is how it works on many other s60 3rd devices. I havent used a E63 but i suppose it's the same.

  • I have noticed recently that deleted e mail messages do not disappear from the screen.  Instead they turn grey until I switch to another mailbox.  When I return, they are gone.  Any idea why this has started to happen?

  • Can I delete a corrupt message diretly from the In Box in the Mail folder

I received an e-mail that has an .eml attachment. Mail would not download the entire message with the attachment - although it continued trying to download once it started to load in my in box. I deleted this e-mail message from the server. Now Mail seems to be caught in a continuous loop of "Fetching new mail" The only way I can exit the program is to force quit. When I open the program again the same thing happens. When I try to move this partial e-mail to the trash or delete it, bounce it or forward it I get an "opening mailbox and synchronizing with file system" message
or the program freezes. When I try to copy this e-mail to another folder the message is "resuming interrupted append"
Is there a way to delete just a message from any of the in/out boxes?
It seems like all messaged, in/out/sent etc are all compressed together like a stuffit file but there's not way to get in and delete just a particular message. The only other way I have been able to get rid of a partially corrupted file like this is to remove the entire account or in this instance, the accounts in box, move it to another folder on the desktop, reopen Mail and let it rebuild the accounts in box, then copy and paste everything except for the corrupt file into that. There's got to be an easier way!
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

The problem I have is it will go into the trash, but then I have the same problem deleting it from the trash! Even when it looks like it's deleted and I reboot Mail, the file returns to the same spot or in the original In Box.
The problem, I think, lies in the actual corrupted file that's embedded in the in/out/trash etc file in the main Mail folder. From what I understand, Mac has fixed this problem in 10.4 and one can go and delete that particular message/file. In 10.3 land, they are all hidden. Thanks for brainstorming with me!

  • Is there a way to delete all the messages for a user in CUC 8.6 ?

With Unity it was possible as an administrator, to delete all the messages in a user's mailbox, directly from the server (Windows).  Now, with Unity Connection (8.6.1) is there a way to do the same ?  When I'm logged as an administrator, I can see, for every user, the number of messages and the size (Mailbox menu) that they have in their mailbox, but what I want to do is to be able to delete all the messages for a specific user... Is it possible with CUC 8.6.1 ?

    Hi there,
The best way with Unity Connection is with the use of this excellent tool from
    the great suite of Unity Tools (** "reset" feature);
    Unity Connection Bulk User Delete
For resetting users you have the option of emptying the mailbox, resetting greetings, deleting voice names, resetting passwords, removing private lists and a number of other options you may choose.  For installations where the user base “changes over” frequently such as schools this may be a nicer option.  This option is also allowed for CoRes installations since it does not involve the removal of user objects from the Connection database.

  • How do I delete all the messages in my Inbox on my iphone 4S

How do I delete all the messages at one time in my inbox on teh iphone 4S

    Not supported for good reasons.
If the account is an IMAP account, delete the messages from the account's Inbox mailbox with the email client used on your computer for accessing the account, or transfer the messages from the account's Inbox to a user created mailbox stored locally on your computer's hard drive which will remove the messages from the server. All server stored mailboxes with an IMAP account are kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account.
If the account is a POP account, delete the messages from the server with the email client used on your computer for accessing the account, or via webmail access for the account. Follow this by deleting and recreating the account on your iPhone.

  • Delete a single message in messaging server

Is it possible on command line for an administrator to delete a single message in a mailbox?
Without knowing their password (only mailbox name) and just using CLI.
    Kind Regards,
    Nicole

if you can find the message:
    rm message.file
    reconstruct -r user/userid
The Messaging Server has no built in mechanism to deal with individual messages other than expiring them, once they're in the store.

  • Recovering deleted mailboxes

Does anyone know how to recover deleted mailboxes in Mail? An hour ago, I installed the new software from Earthlink and told it to sync with Apple Mail. I ended up with two accounts in Mail, one with my address (the existing one) and another with my address prefaced by POP. I didn't realize what it had done, so I deleted my extra Trash mailbox. Trash disappeared and I didn't even realize/think about it. Did the same with Sent. Fine. But then, before I realized what I was doing, I did it with the In Box. Oh, no! All of the messages in my In Box are now gone. Everything works--I can still get messages--but all my archived stuff is gone. Does anyone know how to recover deleted mailboxes in Mail? The Help is of no help, and the basic pages here don't seem to cover this problem! Help! Help! SOS! M'aidez!
iMac DV SE   Mac OS X (10.4.1)

You may go to the ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/ account folder in the Finder and check whether your mailboxes are really gone — they probably are, so don’t hold your breath.
If the messages are not on the server and you don’t have a backup (which you should have made before doing something like that), you may try to salvage as many deleted *.emlx files as possible with a data recovery tool such as Data Rescue II, TechTool Pro, or FileSalvage. Of these, the only one I know for sure that can currently recover deleted *.emlx files is FileSalvage. Stop using your computer right now if you want to try that, as anything you do with the computer may cause the deleted files to be overwritten.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder. That is, ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder, i.e. /Users/username/Library.

  • Where do Deleted mailboxes go.

I deleted a mailbox because I thought the messages would be saved in the new smart mailbox I had just created. Well that wasn't very smart of me because they didn't stay and now all those messages are gone and I can't find them. I was wondering if anyone knew where these messages went. I had messages back from August in there and where they are imported from only keeps six months worth. Can anyone shed light on if I can get these Messages back?

When deleting a mailbox, the mailbox is deleted from the hard drive after selecting OK at the warning message.
A Smart Mailbox is only a virtual mailbox which contains a pointer to the original message in the originating mailbox only - not a copy of the message. Depending on the Smart Mailbox criteria, it is possible for a particular message to be available in a number of different Smart Mailboxes. Deleting the original message from the originating mailbox for a message that is available in a Smart Mailbox will also remove the message from the Smart Mailbox.
Instead of creating a Smart Mailbox for this purpose, select New Mailbox instead which creates an actual mailbox.
To try to recover the deleted messages will require using a data recovery utility such as FileSalvage with no guarantee and the more you use your computer and access the hard drive, you lesson your chances of recovering this data by any means.

Also one of the reasons for creating and maintaining a regular backup.

  • Unable to delete certain questionable messages

    Greetings,
I am at a loss. I have searched for answers under several difference questions, using several terms and reading several threads, but I have not found a solution to my problem.
What I was doing when the problem appeared: I was organizing mail from my IN box into several mailbox folders and deleting several messages.
Then all of a sudden several (7) messages appeared in my IN box with the same sender and subject, but different dates and times. I have since discovered several additional messages in 3 mailbox folders and one in my drafts folder.
What is happening: I can delete the messages, but they come back. For example, I delete the 7 messages from the IN box, then I click into another mailbox. When I come back to the IN box the messages are there again, but there are also "copies" in the trash box. If I delete them again they appear again with even more copies in the trash box.
The messages in the IN box are completely void of any content; no header info nor message. However the messages in the mailbox folders seem to have replaced the sender and subject of existing messages in the list view, but when I open the message the original info is displayed.
I would love to clean these messages out of my mail without losing all of my other messages.
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,
    jon

    Ernie,
Thank you for responding. I did drag all the messages that I kept to the different mailbox folders. Those I trashed I simply selected and pressed DELETE.
I have 4 e-mail accounts that Mail retrieves from. 1 personal; 2 business; 1 educational. The personal and business accounts are all POP accounts. They are all through my ISP at SBC/AT&T. The educational account is an IMAP account, but has been inactive for 18 months or so, since the last class is took at our local community college. This account is hosted by the college.
I look forward to your answer.
    Thank you
    jon

  • Mailbox "recovered messages" fills up with copies of same message

After having had communication problems abroad using a 3G key Internet connection ( bad signal, jumping back to 2G, aborting connection suddenly, ...) I receive now systematicaly a copy of a mail I sent, one day before, to someone else, in a mailbox "recovered messages" (this is however my translation of the french name of the mailbox:  ( "Messages récupérés - IMAP"). Deleting this message does'nt cure the problem: the message comes again (I do'nt know from where) and again. Can somebody help me to stop this reoccurant mail?
    Many thanks in advance!
(Macbook Pro Retina, Yosemite 10.10.1, Mail Version 8.1)

Log in to the mail server through its web page and delete the mailbox, after moving any of the messages it contains that you want to keep.

  • Default "Deleted Mailbox" in email profile

    Hi,
On my iPhone, I have created a new profile for IMAP email settings via a .mobileconfig download and install. However, the default "Deleted Mailbox" is Trash. On deleting mail, the user gets "Unable to Move Message. The message could not be moved to the mailbox Trash". I guess this is because "Trash" does not exist on the IMAP server.
Is their aDefaultDeleteFolder in .mobileconfig I am missing?
    Regards
    David

If you had mail saved on my mac, you can try going to your home folder>library>mail>mailboxes>select mailbox>messages, you will find find stuff in your envelope indexes. There might be some stuff there.  They will all be listed by an###. emlx so you will have to look thru them.  Hope this helps a little.

  • Why I cannot assess deleted Apple mail messages in time machine after installing mountain lion from snow leopard.

Ever since I installed Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard, I cannot retrieve my deleted Apple mail messages from Time Machine.  I could do it in the past using Snow Leopard.  The effective date for the the non-retrival of deleted messages is the date I installed Mountain Lion from Snow Leopard.  Any thoughts?

It was origionally a local folder for things like receipts from the Apple Store, etc
I'm still not sure what you mean . . . is it listed in the "On My Mac" section in Mail's sidebar, like these?
Mountain Lion appears to have given it an icon very much like an Archive box and put the "on My Mac" folder within that "Box" on both the back ups and the new Mail program - in fact it did it 6 times, which was the origional problem.
    Can you post a screenshot?
I could restore inbox messages although they came in as a new mail box called Time Machine rather than into their origional mailboxes (there are 7 different addresses)
Yes, that's how Time Machine restores Mail messages, so it doesn't erase the current contents of an existing mailbox.  You can then move them into the desired location.

  • Can't access a mailbox - error message "unexpected response format"

I went to look at mail message in one mailbox. At first it said that it was having difficulty downloading from the server. I closed and opened the mail program and then I couldn't even get that message. I went over to ".mac" to see if I could view the message there, and I am now seeing an error message - "unexpected response format".
I have already tried to "rebuild" the mailbox. That didn't work. I've had some problems that were similar, and I've deleted a mail message that was causing the thing to be stuck. This time, I can't even get in. Need serious help, thanks.

The thing is, this appears to be a .Mac issue that none of us can do anything about, and for which one of the .Mac Forums may be more appropriate...
