Delete multiple emails at once on iPhone 5s - any fix?

I have alot of emails which "appeared" in my inbox.  Not sure if because it's sinced to my home email account which also has alot of emails in the inbox of the server.  But my main question is how to delete multiple emails at once. I've read "work arounds" on using the select, move button, unselect and then the trash button.  Seems to do what it is supposed to do, however when I go back to my mailboxes, the messages didn't get moved to the trash and are still showing up where they originally were.  Any ideas on a real fix out there?
Thanks,
Olmbre

No, there is no way to delete all emails in one step. Of course, you can select multiple emails individually and delete them as a group.

  • Why in the world am I unable to delete multiple emails at once on my new iphone 4s

Why am I unable to delete multiple emails at once from my new iphone 4s. I could easily select all emails and delete them from my old blackberry.
The process of choosing one at a time and then deleting is crazy and very time consuming. Please help.......is there a hidden method or some add on I need?

I want to select all with one button and then select delete all with another button.
The iPhone currently cannot do that.  The best you can do from the iPhone is Edit, select the emails to delete and then Delete.
Another option is to use webmail (browser) and use that interface to delete mail

  • How can you delete multiple emails at once I have 3000 on my brand new iPhone that got transfer from my I pad and they keep popping up in 50 every time I check my email from my yahoo account

Delete multiple emails at once like 3000 that were transfer from my iPad to my iPhone and keep coming up in groups of 50 at a time?

    1) You asked "Does she need to reconnect to that itunes/computer and if so what do we need to do to remove this folder of pics from her ipod?" Yes, you have to connect the iPod to that computer and go to the Photos pane for the iPod in iTunes and uncheck sync photos and the click on synce/apply. In the future do not check sync photos.
iOS and iPod: Syncing photos using iTunes
    2)
Create a NEW account for using these instructions. Make sure you follow the instructions. Many do not and if you do not you will not get the None option. You must use an email address that you have not used with Apple before.
Creating an iTunes Store, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store account without a credit card
Then on the iPod go to
    - Settings>Messages>Send and receive and sign out your ID and sign into hers. Make sure that only her ID email address is listed.
    - Settings>FaceTime sign out of your ID and sign into hers. Make sure that under You can be reached at only her ID email address is listed
    - Settings>iCloud and sign out and sign in with hers
Contnue to use the commpn ID/account for Settings>iTunes and App stores.

  • How to delete multiple email at once?

    Hi,
I'm on the move a lot and go between my PC and my iPhone but sometimes I get hundreds of emails on my iPhone that I have already viewed on my PC.
Is there a way to do a "Select all" to delete multiple email at once instead of using the edit feature?

Is there a way to do a "Select all" to delete multiple email at once instead of using the edit feature?
No. You'll have to click edit then put a check next to each email you want to delete, then hit delete. Once in trash, you can delete all.

there used to be option to keep last 50,100,200 messages/emails. We need that back. This is ridiculous to delete one by one.

  • How can I delete multiple emails at once?

I want to delete mulitple emails at once like I can on my iPad1.  Is there a way to do this in mail?

    ... in addition:
Click on a message. Hold command down and click on another, etc. Then hit delete. This way you can select and delete non-contiguous messages in your list.
Similarly, you can unselect messages in a group of selected messages by command-clicking on them.
This behavior is more or less universal across all applications for all kinds of selections.

  • Is there any way to delete multiple emails at once?

Just set up my iphone 5 including my email account.  now I have to clear our 4,000 emails.  Is there an easy way to do this?

I have just brought Iphone 4 and I have the similar issue. I am getting nearly 1000 mails daily. out of which I have to delete few according to subject line or To line. Can you please tell me how can I "SELECT ALL" and then "DELETE ALL" after I search those mails.
Its annoying to mark  each mail as its too much. Is there "DELETE ALL" method ?
FYI, I have even tried below method
    Searched my mail
after search completed, > Edit > selected only one mail so 3 button enabled at bottom i.e delete, move, mark > pressed and hold the Move button and deselected mail
    > this opens move window. it also shows total number of mail in search
    > selected TRASH folder and move
    > it shows no mails in search at that time. which means all mails were moved to TRASH.
But when I go back to mail account main folder, all the mails are there.
I was able to do delete multiple mails in BlackBerry curve, so I expected that iphone will handle this too when I brought this phone.
    can you please help.

  • How do i delete multiple emails at once

i cant find a way to select multiple emails or all to delete without doing 1 at a time

Then you would need to do a search function searching for the particular emails you now longer want such as year dated 2009. Then select all from that list and delete.
You could also create a smart mailbox which you can add different criteria to find certain emails. It's a bit more customizable than using the regular search function.

    >> Open Inbox >> Edit >> Mark All >> Mark As Read
    >> Open Inbox >> Edit  >> Check/select the top message; it will highlight the move button.
    >> Press and hold the move button and uncheck the message that you had checked earlier.
    >> Lift all your fingers off from the ipad screen and leave it alone. Wait until all your messages pile up on the right hand portion of the screen (in ipad); iphone will give you the actual number of emails it has selected for the action. Now they are just waiting for your command to be moved ALL at once.
    >> Choose trash to delete all of them or any other folder where u want to move them, like one piece. Remember this will replicate your action on the server so you will ACTUALLY move them or delete them on the server and not just the ipad.
Once you have moved all messages to the trash you can either leave them there for the scheduled cleaning or empty it right away by doing this: go to trash folder and touch Edit. The Delete All button shows up at the bottom of the screen. Hit it! You’re done!

  • Trying to delete multiple contacts at once on iPhone

I wanted a large (~200) subset of my contacts (within Outlook) to be added to my iPhone, so I used the iTunes Contact Sync to get all of my contacts there (rather than type in 200 with the iPhone keyboard, which leaves something to be desired). Now I have all of my contacts on the iPhone, but only want the 200 or so.
Is there an easy way to select a group or multiple contacts and mark them for deletion? Right now it appears as if I need to go through one by one, which will NOT work for me.
    thanks.

There is no such option with the iPhone.

  • How can I delete multiple emails on my Samsung Stratosphere at once?

How can I delete multiple emails on my Samsung Stratosphere at once? I use AOL and when I delete the emails off of my computer, they do not delete from my phone. So I have hundreds of unwanted messages showing on my phone but I have not found an option to delete all messages, only individually. I would also like to be able to clear the messages from my phone without them deleting from my computer. This was super easy with my blackberry and I have not found anything similar on this phone.

When I go to the trash folder on my Stratosphere, I can check individual emails and then hit "Menu" and "Delete", but if I hit the "Menu" button before selecting any e-mails, then I see the "Delete all" button, but it's greyed out, so I cannot select it.  There's also a "Restore All" button next to the "Delete all" button, and it's also greyed out.  So, currently the only way I can delete the 100's of e-mails in my trash is to put a check mark next to each one, which is painful.  Anybody else have this problem or know of a solution?
