Hello.
I am wish to delete my account (Skype Name from the Skype directory)
I have already taken all steps described in: 'Can I delete my Skype account?' ...deleted all personal information (name, e-mail, etc...)
I also tried to contact the customer support with my request ...tried all the steps there as well but it took me all around back here.
Is there any direct e-mail contact option? Can someone assist me?

I think that the instructions on how to contact customer service is clear enough and easy to follow. Yet, if that one is not working for you (though contacting via webform usually results to faster responses), you can also try to send an email to [email protected] .

I have noticed that short names seem to stick. i.e. if there are two short names, and I log in as one of the two (with admin rights), then authenticate to the Open Directory master, the other short name refuses to be removed/edited. What is going on here?

Assuming I've understood you correctly.
When you create a user the first shortname is automatically created as you're typing that name. Before you click Save you can amend that first shortname to something that suits your taste or needs. Once you click Save you can't amend or delete the first shortname. Even if you decide to change the User name (the long name) that first shortname won't change and can't be amended or deleted.
The only way to delete the first shortname is to delete the user and start again assuming you've made a mistake with the desired shortname and clicked Save before you decided the first shortname was not the one you wanted. You can create additional shortnames which can be edited and/or deleted at any time thereafter. What you can't do is delete the first shortname regardless of how ever many other short names you create.
If this is not what you meant and the above is not what you're experiencing and for lack of any further information I have to assume there's something wrong somewhere with either the server or the way you're using the tools to create those accounts?

I currently use Office 365 and utilize distribution Groups in Exchange.
If I delete an active user from office 365, would this remove them also from the distribution group?

I know this has been answered, but I am still confused.

I've read just "iCloud"- but where is this?
Long story short, I got married the month before I got my iPad, being a newlywed I wasn't thinking I would find my husband impregnating another woman and moving in with her behind my back so I figured creating an iCloud name with his last name would be good to go. Obviously not. Anyway- all my photos are screenshots needed for my anullment process and I can't lose them. The games are whatever, I plan on starting those over because I'm sure that I can't keep my progress. Do I have to re-download them?
Also is there a way to uninstall an update? The 7.1 removing of full contact pictures when recieving calls was a bummer

Transfer them to your computer to keep them safe. If you lose or break your iPad you'll lose them without a backup.

How can I create a new iCloud account on a preowned phone (with that persons account signed on) without deleting their whole account entirely (on all devices)? Totally confused, please help:-(

My mum has upgraded to the iPhone 5, she has given me her 4S with a new contract etc. the problem is all her contacts are still on here and calendar dates etc . All from her iCloud account. I have my own account but I don't know how to get my phone on that without deleting her iCloud account entirely and from all devices and her new phone. Just delete her iCloud account from (now) your iPhone 4s - doing so will delete it from your phone and your phone only. It will do nothing to any of her devices with her iCloud account set up on them.
Then login in with your iCloud account login to set up your iCloud account on that iPhone 4S.
If you want to set up the iPhone 4s with a clean slate, just delete her iCloud account, then go into general settings, under the reset tab and select "erase all content and settings". Then run through the activation and setup dialogues with your own information.

FireFox is refusing to properly sync and I have even deleted my sync account and started over, why is this happening?

Up to a few weeks ago FireFox sync was working as expected, but then version 17 rolled out and I had auto update turned on, so all my PCs updated. Quickly I noticed that Roboform Lite didn't work in the new version so I decided to go back to version 16.0.2 on all my PCs to continue using Roboform. I'm confident this must have had some affect on FIrefox Sync, specifically the add-ons, as the bookmarks and others continued to sync properly.
I've worked on it for 3 days now and after even deleting my sync account and starting from scratch I seem to still be having the same problem. It's weird though, it will begin to sync some of my add-ons, but then stop and refuse to do anymore. I only have about 10 add-ons altogether. Other times it will remove add-ons, which is even more aggravating.
I also reset FireFox on my main computer that I had initially setup sync.
Please help me resolve this.

I believe this is a bug in the new Firefox. I'm having the same problem, and so are others on this forum. My guess is just to wait till the next update for some one the bugs to be worked out. FFA was updated recently so it could be FFA's fault

Check your on-line account purchase history and please also check with the issuer of the credit method you had on file to ensure no fraudulent charges were posted to the account. I suggest continuing to monitor that account - and changing that account password, too. Kudos to you for taking the pro-active steps of changing your account password and disabling auto-recharge immediately!
Make sure your computer is fully updated, and run your preferred anti-virus/malware/spyware program using the latest virus signature files.

Remove My Skype Name from Skype directory

I don't want to receive contact request from anyone who knows my name so I wanted to change my Skype Name and change my Display Name to stop people finding me with my full name on Skype.
But I read in this topic "https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA110/can-i-change-my-skype-name-or-display-name-in-skype-for-windo..." that It’s not possible to change my Skype Name. And If I want to have a different Skype Name, I will need to create a new account.
So I start looking for how to delete my present Skype account before creating a new one. And I followed all the instructions in this topic "https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA142/can-i-delete-my-skype-account". Now I need to remove My Skype Name from the Skype directory. I tried to contact Skype Customer Service by Email but they're having some problems at the moment.

Hello, can you please help me. I want you (someone who does that) to remove my Skype Name from the Skype directory.
I removed all my personal information from my profile.
"If you want us to remove your Skype Name from the Skype directory, you need to contact our Skype Customer Service. It may take up to two weeks to remove your name from the directory."
I've read everything about this topic. So, please, can you just do that?

Please do contact Skype Customer Service to file your request to remove the account - remember, this is a one-time request, is permanent, and will disable your account from further use.

If you experience difficulty reaching Skype Customer Service, try again using a different web browser. Also, look to approve a pop-up dialogue box which would connect you to start an instant message chat with a customer service agent. You would have to delete the existing iCloud account and create a wholly new one - you cannot change the @icloud.com email address of the one you already have. To make a new one, you will also need an new AppleID as any AppleID can only have one iCloud account associated with it.
Deleting the account will not delete anything off your device (if prompted for things like contacts, choose to keep them). You will have to sync everything anew with the new account as you cannot move your sync'd content, your old backups or anything else from one iCloud account to another. You will have to set up sync again and let it sync to the new account, and then make new backups to the new account as well.

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must use the previous owner's password to get permission to use the device. If you cannot get the password your father put on the iPad you will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

Guys this is absolute rubbish feature of the login application where people's login names get recorded in the dropdown menu. Is there any more permanent way of getting rid of this annoying privacy intrusive "feature"? I would like to have a profile with a username that is not going to appear at airports and my grandma's laptop after I log out of skype and no I do not want to go digging for app files to remove my entire history on each and every machine I use as suggested by your help files. Could you please advise if I'm missing something here?
