Delete other users' calendars - erroring out

I have access to 2 other users' Outlook calendars on my laptop.  When I got a new machine recently, I connected iCal to my Outlook for the first time, and those other 2 users' calendars came along with mine.  These people are horrifically busy and my calendar is now useless.  When I try to delete these calendars, I get this error:
https://calendar.google.com/calendar/dav/<my email address>/user/ is not a location that supports this request.
I'm running OS X v 10.8.4
Please help me to delete this data.  Many thanks in advance!

Ok here is the problem. When I delete a user using the imadmin user delete command it works great. However the imadmin user purge command does not work! When I try to use it I get the following errors:
[email protected]: purging user
[email protected]: purge user failed
Failed connection refused.
I know that it isn't an authenticate issue because that gives out a different error and the other imadmin commands work fine.
I have made the recommeded change in the resource.properties file that is talked about in the release notes for ida1.2sp1(i.e. change mailObject-allowPabDeletion=yes to =no and restarted the Enterprise server) and I still can not get this to work.
I can delete users using ldapdelete but it isn't 'sun recommended'... And it causes funny inconsitencies in the nda interface.
I checked the referential integrity plugin and it was not turned on, I think anything past patch iMSsp1 and it is disabled by default.
Is there some log that I could check and figure out why this is failing, or some sort of debug mode I could run the purge user command in??
Any help would really be appreciated.

  • Outlook connector - how can I open other users calendars at startup?

    Hello!
How can I open a list of other users calendars at startup (outlook with Oracle outlook connector software installed)?
    Is it possible?
    Regards,
    Konstantin.

    Question:
Were you able to solve this issue? I too would like to have the ability to automatically open other users' calendar when Outlook loads.
I did find one unreliable workaround is this; I am able to add a link of the other users' calendar on the shortcut bar. This way, when a user logs on, s/he can click on the link to get to other's calendars.
However, I say its unreliable because every once in a while, I get the error message "Unable to display the folder. Microsoft Outlook could not access the specified folder location. The entry Id passed in does not refer to a valid object."
To resolve this, I must go back to files -> open -> Other user's folders. Open the calendar before it works agin.

  • Exchange 2010 - Outlook can only open 8 other users' calendars

I have a company that I moved to Exchange 2010 from Exchange 2003 recently. The old Exchange 2003 server has been removed from the organization. They have 30 mailboxes on a single server. Everything has been running smoothly but I have just discovered an issue.
In this office there is one person who coordinates meetings, decides who uses what conference room for a given meeting, etc. She has full access to all of the other users' mailboxes. With Exchange 2003 she could access all of the other users' calendars simultaneously and would view them in overlay mode in Outlook 2003 and/or Outlook 2007.
With Exchange 2010 she can only view the first 8 calendars she clicks on. If she tries to open a 9th calendar Outlook responds with the error message "The set pf folders could not be opened."
I don't believe it to be a rights issue as she can open any 8 calendars upon first running Outlook. To access any others she has to uncheck one or more of the calendars previously selected, exit Outlook, restart Outlook and select different users calendars.
This is only happening with Exchange 2010 - I've tested it on my Exchange 2007 server and another client's Exchange 2003 server and one can open as many other users calendars as there are.
Is this a known limitation of Exchange 2010 or a new bug? Any workarounds?

I'm betting that you have met the Exchange 2010 throttling policy......
Take a read through this post please, the section on throttling:

let me give you an example.

Tries from OWA with same user and here she can access the calendar.
Tries to use Outlook in non cached mode and here it Works.
Has anybody a solution for this.
    Best regards

    I have tried the following
    Open Outlook
    Goto File >
    Account Settings > Account Settings
    Select your Exchange profile >
Change > More Settings > Advanced
    tab
Check Use Cached Exchange Mode (if not already checked)
    Uncheck
    Download shared folders
    Click OK >
    Next > Finish
    Restart Outlook
    This has solved the issue.

  • How do I delete Other User?

Just got MBAir and screwed up migration.  Somehow I ended up with Admin account plus an additional user account.  I want to delete that additional user and start over, with everything going to Admin account.  I went to Users & Groups and tried to delete using minus sign.  It tells me responds with "Are you sure ..."?  I click OK but it won't delete it.  How do I delete that acount?  BTW, the progams all migrated just fine.

Since this is a brand new MBAir I deleted the HD partition and reinstalled OS: boot with command-R and launch disk utility and then erase Macintosh HD.  Of course, it wouldn't boot (flashing question mark).  So I let it download some sort of boot loader, which allowed me to download OS and start over.  That all worked.  The additional but unwanted user account is gone under the Accounts list.  Interestingly the name of that unwanted user account appears under Finder (if I check the box for it), along with the standard folders for it.  I guess the erase command in disk utility didn't quite erase everything.  And the fact that WiFi access still worked so it could download the boot loader didn't get erased tells me there is some sort of protected area that can't be erased (although after OS downloaded I did have to re-initialize WiFi access).  If I really want to erase the HD completely, can that be done?

  • When one acco has iTunes open, the other users get error message

I have Vista Ultimate, 64 bit. My computer has three user accounts. If one user has iTunes open, then, when another user logs on, he gets window after window of "You can't start iTunes because someone else has it open", even though he's not trying to start iTunes!
The only solution is to log off the first user which is not always desirable if that user is not around. This is happening awhile now. Is there no fix yet???

I have the same problem described; let me add some information.
    1) I am set up as the "Owner" in Win7. My wife is set up as 2nd account. If I have iTunes open and my wife opens her account nothing happens. However, if my wife has iTunes open and I open my account, Windows gives me that annoying message saying that another user has iTunes open...every 30 seconds.
    2) I searched through the forum and found several others with the same problem:

Most interesting thing I learned from this is that this error is found on multiple Windows platforms, but everyone is using an HP computer.
Is there some script that HP runs that is messing with iTunes?

  • Log out other user - what if I do not know who they are?

I work in a hostel and use a computer that has two user accounts. When I plug my iShuffle on my user account (that is only used by me) in the following warning comes up:
"Another user on this computer is using the iPod software, so iTunes is unable to communicate with this iPod. Please ask the other user to log out?"
I do not know who the other user is, so cannot log them out. Is there a way of fixing this without re & de-installing the software?
      Windows XP

-Open the Task Manager (press CTRL-SHIFT-ESC).
    -Click the Processes tab.
-Find the iPodService.exe, select it, and End Process it.
-Repeat for iTunes.exe and iTunesHelper.exe, if they are there.

  • Connector for outlook - open other user's calendars

    Hello!
Is it possible to save in outlook(with connector, R2) information about opened other users calendars?
If I select from menu "File/Open/Other users"
calendars are opened for current outlook session and not saved for the next outlook run.
In Exchange this is normally done from Control Panel/...
Is this function available in some different view or I must use macro recorder?
    Regards,
    Konstantin Kunshchikov.

You can go in the System Preferences/Mail, Contacts & Calendars. There you can set up an Microsoft Exchange, gmail... account. It will appear in your Mail application after you set it up from there. You will also see them separately on the sidebar in mail.

  • IPod not recognized by iTunes-message about other users being logged in

Recently, whenever I connect my Ipod to the USB device to update my library, I often get an error message stating there are other users using itunes on my computer already, so itunes cannot recognize the ipod. Then it says to ask other users to log out, and then try again.
No other people but me ever use itunes on my computer and no one else is logged in but me (and I'm the only person who has an iPod account in my family). I try all different things, like logging everyone else's accounst on the computer off, restarting itunes, reconnecting the USB, etc- but nothing works. The message won't appear after this again (unless I've restarted itunes), but a window pops up about my ipod with all different files, like "calendar."
Can anyone tell me why this happens, and how to connect my ipod when it does?

    Try this.
Fast user switching in Windows XP is not supported.
Incidentally, this a forum for connecting to a Mac.

  • Copying one users calendar to anothers

I'm kinda new to this whole Palm thing and not real computer knowledgable in general, so please forgive my ignorance in something that's probably really simple for most of you to figure out.
We have a 2 person office and both our computers are networked. I was wondering if there is a way to copy one network users calendar to the others in its entirety. Not a whole year, but one month. We are continually sending each other emails with a V attachment in it so that we are able to know each others schedule and we can update our calendars. Either that or one of us has to run into the others office to look at their calendar so that we don't double schedule 2 different events at the same time and date. I can see the other users calendar through the network if he isn't accessing it at the time, but I'd like to be able to copy his calendar so I can paste it into mine.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks!

The real only choice you would have in order not to complicate things is to export the entire calendar from one computer and import it into the other computers Palm desktop. If you export just the range of dates in the calendar for 1 month instead of the entire calendar, it will only import the month exported and will not have the entire year on the 2nd computer.
Have you considered printing out the calendar from Palm desktop?  This might be an easier way to compare calendars and then making adjustments in Palm desktop.
