Delete Personnel Numbers

Hi
My clent has deleted one personnel Number by using PU00, But when he go to Pa20 and enter particular deleted personnel number system gives a message "personnel number not assigned" but a flag will come in front of Personnel data.
Please suggest how to delete this personnel data.
I have a answer where he can rehire the personnel number and delete every thing again.
Can you please give me other options to delete the personnel data.

Hi,
maybe your client didn't select all the infotype when he execute the delete process. Try to execute delete personnel number again then select all infotypes.

    Choose transaction SLG1.
    The Evaluate application log screen appears.
    In the Object field, enter HRPU.
    In the Time Restriction group box, enter dates and times to determine the period you want to check.
    Choose Program  Execute.
    A list of payroll results deleted during the specified period is displayed. The list displays the deletion date and the administrator who has deleted the payroll result.
    Select an entry from the list.
    Choose Goto  Display messages.

    You can get your requirement but it depends whether your number range is external or internal. I will guide with the help of an example.
    Lets say  u have generated following Personnel number:
    1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
    Out of which u think personnel no 3, 4, 7 is wrong. Go to PU00 and then delete it.
    Now u can assign the same personnel number only if ur number range is external. If its internal these number are lost for ever.
    Now i think ur number range is internally generated. When u delete 3, 4, & 7 and then again hire a person the system gives personnel number 11.
    When u take out a report through Ad Hoc Query these numbers will be missing (i.e. 3, 4, & 7) so by looking at this report u can say which are the personnel number missing.

    Do you want to re use the Personnel Number which has been deleted or you want the master data of the Pernr ,You have not mentioned that in ur query clearly
    In case if the issue is with PERNR set the deleted PERNR No in Current No Column in PA04 and try to hire you will get the no that has been deleted
    In case of master data i dount think u can retrive the data

  • Error while deleting personnel number

    when I ran a report RPUDELPN  for deleting Personnel Numbers The Personnel Number Name got deleted but not the personnel numbers relationship with Position . I can see only Green Color without Name. when Iam trying to delete the relationship it is throwing an error . Error in deletion of personnel numbers . How can we resolve this please throw some light on this

    Pls check the table HRP1001, can you find the PERNR in that table with position? table can be checked in SE16 > HRP1001

  • Deleting Personnel Number in Production

    Hello Experts,
    I have come across an issue where some of our business users have deleted personnel numbers in Prod though PU00 after 30 days of employee being hired.
    I would like to know the best practice in terms of deleting a personnel number when an employee is hired in error, Im sure it is ok to delete the employee before it can generate any transactional data( within few hours or so), but there has been argument on this that SAP has provided a standard functionality on deleting PERNR then why cant we use it.
    We all know that there is a difference between standard functionality and Best Practice , but how do we come across this hurdle is my current worry.
    Any live examples or exprience shared will be appriciated.

    Hi,
    Deleting Employee numbers is not a good practice.
    See to it that  users dont have rights to critical TCodes like PU00,PU01 etc.
    Talk to the basis team to revoke such critical Tcodes.
    You can always change employee data if hired incorrectly.
    If at all an employee code is to be  deleted there should be amail to Basis TEam/ Helpdesk alsong with the reason.
    See to it that users are educated well .

    Hi,
    I am Not V sure if the report is executable in Live Client.
    Another Alternative which we adopted is an LSMW recording of PU00 & used it for mass deletion.
    You can explore this option also....

    please all , i got this error while doing exit to payroll , although this employee has left one year ago , i m fear of doing the changes from pu03 as stated by SAP , doing that will make  personnel numbers processed with this transaction will have an undefined payroll status.

    Generally, this type of error is occured when all the ee were not sucessfully execute, to clear the same, please follow the below:
    Exeucte the program RPUTRBK0 and assign payroll are and execute payroll correction.
    After doing this, you may able to delete and create new control record.

    we are having 1 report which is using logical database PNP
    this is being shown in ALV
    when the user runs the report the output is shown and after pressing BACK button the below lines are being shown

    this is being done by logical databse program SAPDBPNP

    call your ALV in event
    END-OF-SELECTION instead of in START-OF-SELECTION
    otherwise
    Use fm
    call function 'LDB_PROCESS'
    instead of using PNB in attributes of the program.

    Yes ... even i was of the same opinion. Last time we set this to 75 and now user wants this to be increased and hence i was looking out for some unlimited option.

    In Pao3-Control Record, we get the List of Personnel Numbers active for the current month in a Particular Payroll area, For one particular payroll area, we have around 1000 numbers , is there any standard report available to get the employee list along with personnel  numbers from the control record.

    Just go to the table LFB1 and put in the field PERNR that you are trying to create.
    If is created just put the transaction on modify instead of create.(if you want to change).
    And is better to see the vendor in tansaction XK03.

    I want to retrieve all the personnel numbers that fall in the evaluation path.
    Like if my evaluation path is "B002" ( eval path for relationship is line supervisor of ), I want a function module that retrieves all the pernrs in this wval path up to the bottom level.
    if A reports to B and B reports to C and C reports to D . I want a function module to retrieve(either positions or pernrs) C, B and A when I run it for position D.
