Delete photos iPhoto on ipad?

Is there an easy way to delete photos in iPhoto on an iPad? Maybe a better question is: is there any way?

I assume the photos have made it onto the iPad through syncing with the computer with iTunes, yes?
Then you should sync again, but first remove the photos you don't want on the iPad anymore from the selection of photos to be sync'd.
You can delete them on the iPad, but (a) next time you're syncing they'll be back there again unless you excluded them then, and (b) you probably need the space on the iPad for stuff that's also coming from the computer via sync - so then you can do it all at once by modufying the selection of what shall be sync'd.
Hint: This is the forum for iPhoto as in "on the Mac". Since you're referring to iPhoto for iOS and seem to have a PC, not a Mac, you should post in the dedicated forum for iPhoto for iOS.

No. The photos will remain in iPhoto on your computer. You are just deleting them from the iPad.

How much space is used by your Other? You may be able to reduce.
How Do I Get Rid Of The “Other” Data Stored On My iPad Or iPhone?
    http://tinyurl.com/85w6xwn
With an iOS device, the “Other” space in iTunes is used to store things like documents, settings, caches, and a few other important items. If you sync lots of documents to apps like GoodReader, DropCopy, or anything else that reads external files, your storage use can skyrocket. With iOS 5/6, you can see exactly which applications are taking up the most space. Just head to Settings > General > Usage, and tap the button labeled Show All Apps. The storage section will show you the app and how much storage space it is taking up. Tap on the app name to get a description of the additional storage space being used by the app’s documents and data. You can remove the storage-hogging application and all of its data directly from this screen, or manually remove the data by opening the app. Some applications, especially those designed by Apple, will allow you to remove stored data by swiping from left to right on the item to reveal a Delete button.

  • HT4236 I want to delete photos from my iPad but this help page does not help, when I click on devises a pop up for photos does not appear.

I want to delete photos from my iPad . But the help page does not help. When I click devices a photo pop up option does not appear

The instructions in HT4236 are as follows:
To delete synced photos and videos
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
    Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
    Click Apply.
No where does it say anything about a "photo pop up option". When you click on your device icon a panel with many tabs appears. One of these tabs is "Photos". You are supposed to click on the "Photos" tab.

  • A3, the iPad and exporting to computer (deleting photos on the iPad)?????

Ok so here is the setup of what I am attempting to do.
All photos that have been recently uploaded to my Ipad are RAW.
I know that you can upload (import) photos from your card or camera directly into the iPad using the Camera Connection Kit.
Then you can directly export all of these photos into a project in Aperture 3.
But my concern is the fact that once I have exported all those shots into a project on my computer all the photos are still there on my iPad.
how do I get rid of them? Do I actually have to go and individually select each and every one or can I do a mass select and delete them?
The concept of being able to use the iPad and A3 to now eliminate the need for a laptop at an event is really appealing mainly because of cost effectiveness.
I hope someone else out there has done this and figured it out because they are just sitting there on the iPad taking up space.
    Ross

I have the same problem. You can delete photo's from the ipad if you go into the 'all imported' folder, then press the top right button, then press and hold the first photo until it selects, then drag your finger over the rest of the photos you want to delete without lifting off the screen, then finally press delete. HOWEVER, if you import the photo's to your Mac using iPhoto, at the end of the import there is an option to "delete photo's from ipad", however this option does not exist in Aperture 3 (that i can find, anyway...).
One other way would be to import to iPhoto in this way then import iPhoto to Aperture...
Have reported this to Apple as a change request.

  • How do i delete photos from my iPad that were imported from a camera

On a recent vacation, I backed up some 1,100 photos onto my iPad each day.  Now that I'm home, I've imported the photos into Aperture (or iPhoto) from the camera and no longer need the photos on the iPad.
I can't find a way to delete them except:
    one-by-one.  VERY time consuming
importing them into a photo app again, selecting remove photos, then deleting the new redundant photos from the phot app
There must be a better way...

In iPhoto 2.0 you would delete photos like this: iPhoto Help (iPad):   Delete photos
    Delete photos
Depending on how your photos and video clips were added to iPhoto, do one of the following:
Photos and video clips taken with your device: In iPhoto, tap Albums, tap Camera Roll, tap to select the photos, tap , tap Delete Photo, and tap Delete. The photos are deleted from both iPhoto and your device.
Photos and video clips you synced to your computer using iTunes: Connect your device to your computer and, in iTunes, deselect the photos and video clips you want to remove from your device. Click Apply.
Photos in the Beamed, Photo Box, iTunes, or [App] album: Tap a photo, tap (tap Edit if you don’t see the tool), tap Delete Photo, and tap Delete.
