Delete post, account help

I just posted my first message with an other account (just made this one) and i realised that my alias was my email adress... I dont want to have my email adress displayed on the internet. I need the help of a moderator to delete my post please, before it spreads. Here is the link :

You can not change the alias of your account at this time, please read the [!http://discussions.apple.com/images/announce-16x16.gif! Announcement|http://discussions.apple.com/ann.jspa?annID=558] at the top of the page.
P.S. it may be that if the moderators choose to delete that post, they need confirmation that it is actually your account. Can you log in with it and confirm here which account it is that requires deletion of the one or two posts you have written?

If the iPad has Activation Lock - that is, it's asking for the previous owner's Apple ID and password to activate the device or to turn off Find My iPhone - then you will need that information. There's no way around it If your father can't remember the password, he'll need to recover it.

If he can't do it via that page, then he'll have to call Apple Support and ask to speak with Account Security.
If that's not the "password" you meant, please post back and clarify.

Hi Prince,
OK, so you did turn on PhotoStream on your device. On iCloud.com there is no setting for PhotoStream - it is not needed. PhotoStream only get "turned on" on a device or a computer (in the computer settings - not on the website).
So, once it is turned on, you take a picture, and it may take a few minutes before you see it in the PhotoStream on your phone. If you take a couple of pics and they don't show up, say within a half an hour, then you might want to do a reset on your phone (press the Home and Power buttons at the same time, and hold them down until the silver Apple appears - you won't lose anything by doing this....) Once it comes back up, you could try a couple more pics, or check the PhotoStream to see if the ones you took previously are there.
Not sure about the option at the bottom of the Photo App - I think it is a permanent item (like Places - I don't use Places for my photos, but it is there all the same.
I agree with you that it is a great backup for your photos - especially if you don't regularly sync to a computer. PhotoStream will keep up to 1000 of your photos, so it's good insurance against losing them. Just as a major user of the camera on my iPhone, I would recommend that you do back up to your computer as well. Videos are not saved in PhotoStream, so those would be lost if anything ever happened to your phone and you had not backed up to a computer....
But don't give up on PhotoStream either - it's not only great for backing up those last 1000 photos, it is also great for sharing between devices (say, if you have an iPad).
So, give it another try, and if you have any questions, post back!

1). i have more than 1 account set up with icloud. so i deleted 1 account from the settings on my iphone to try and switch to the other account and everything became a huge mess. (on my iphone i LOST some of my contacts, all of my reminders are gone, and nothing is showing up on the ical on my iphone, and only some notes are showing).......
2). everything is still shown on my macbook pro.... but when i tired to go and sync it..... nothing is transfering to my phone........
3). when i log into the 2 icloud accounts i have with icloud(.com) nothing is showing up in there also......
whats is going on..... this is a huge mess for me. i want to go back the way is was like 1-2 years ago. when you can just sync things from the computer to the phone and not have to go through icloud....... ive been struggling with icloud but today just me hate it to the max.
ANY HELP ON HOW I CAN FIX ALL OF THIS.....

im not sure what you mean by you second statement. when i open those application on my macbook its on my macbook but when i sign into icloud. i have those option selected.
maybe my problem is im using the wrong ID...... lol.

Have you tried changing the admin password in System Preferences > Users & Groups > Password ??
The Apple ID that is associated with your admin password is noted there.

You aren't going to be able to delete it without the correct password. If it's your ID, you can reset the password as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625. If it isn't your ID, you will have to get the password for the person who owns the ID. There's no way around this and no one else can help.

OK...now I appear to 'progressed' I changed my email address back to original on Apple id and then was able to delete icloud account. Apparently I couldnt do it as it kept requesting password when I entered passsword ( both old and new one, it wouldnt accept it as it had my old email address in ) It didnt do that on ios6 . Anyway I deleted account, but now I tried to login in with my new id/password and it says unable as already in use!!! More help needed please! Its a nightmare!!

Help! I think I just shot myself in the foot by deleting an account!

Oh, man.
I switched up ISPs and my former ISP cut off access to my old email account I've had for the past 5 years. I kept getting a POP error every time there was a cycle to check for new email so I deleted that account from my mac mail preference.
I just thought it would delete it from trying to contact the server for new mail but it deleted ALL of the messages from that account that were in my inbox!
Years and years of emails I desperately need. I had NO IDEA that deleting that info from the preferences would delete those thousands of emails.
Is there ANY way to get those back? Are they still stored somewhere? I checked my user/library/mail and I can't find the folder for that account anywhere.
Why would this program be set up to remove all inbox messages? I assume they're off the server and one would assume that when they're in the inbox, they're safely stored on your hard drive?
I don't get it. I'm really distraught over this. Just from clicking one button, I've basically erased my past communication for the 5 years I had that account.
Is there any way to retrieve those? I can't log into the server because after I switched ISPs, that one (road runner) cut off access to the mail server for some reason.
Am I screwed? All that from just clicking the 'minus' sign in my mail preferences? HELP PLEASE!!

Apparently, you missed the dialog box that said {quote}The account’s setup information, mailboxes, messages, notes, and to do’s *will be deleted permanently from your computer*.{quote}Do you have Time Machine or some other backup of your data?

Download the yahoo email app, if you already deleted and reinstalled the email account and still have issue.
This is a known issue with Yahoo email account.

I can't access my old Apple ID, can you please delete the account or posts?

I can't access my old Apple ID. Before the big account switching, I naively posted my email in a post in a topic here a while back.
Now it comes up in search results and I don't want to attract any spam. I want to either remove this old account or at least wipe some of the posts I made under the name. Not sure where else I can possibly post this question, totally apologize if it appears rather rude.

But in that Thread I notified the Hosts of your address removal request.
