"Delete previous" mail on E70

I've swapped my Blackberry for an E70 - not sure that was a smart move, but anyway... I get loads of mails on a daily basis and need to do mass deletions of emails to clear my inbox periodically. This was easy on the Blackberry using "delete previous" - but I can't figure out how to do it on the E70. Is there any way apart from going through emails one by one and deleting them?

If E70 is like others, like N73, mark the mails to delete. On next sync process, they all get deleted.

Really need a way to delete previous Mail recipients

iOS really needs the capability to delete previous Mail recipients like on Mac OS X. Recipients come and go, change their provider, etc. It can be really frustrating to have an old recipient address show up when you're addressing some email, and you don't notice it and the email bounces because the recipient's address has changed.

I would like to search all previous recipents and find all that match @zzz.com so I don't accidently send them emails. Is there any way to do this?

I find it hard to believe that we can't delete previous mail recipients on the ipad 2 just like we are able on the MBP. Also, why not be able to email to groups that are in my address book. Come on Apple these are really needed.

Update - I discovered that the entire list of bookmarks can be accessed in the Organize Bookmarks window by clicking on the icon for Bookmarks Menu.
This seem like odd interface behaviour to me.
All the other software I use follows the pattern that an icon with a triangle to the left, which you click on to expand the menu tree downwards, shows the entire contents of the category when you click on the triangle. In other words, you don't get a different response by clicking on the icon from what you get by clicking on the triangle.
It also seems odd to me that when an unsorted bookmarks folder is automatically provided that unsorted bookmarks would not be placed there by default.
Anyway, by getting the list of bookmarks displayed this way I was able to simply right-click on items in the list and delete them, as I thought I should be able to do. Problem solved. Organize Bookmarks interface found to be somewhat unintuitive.

I've removed my yahoo account several times. All it does is delete the info off my iPad and doesn't touch the account itself. So I can go back in, re-add the account and then redownload my mail again. I haven't had to change my passwords or anything.
You might look on sympatico's site, see if they have any troubleshooting specific to iPads.

Mail app will not open at all. I cannot even delete a mail account. Wondering if daylight savings time has caused an issue.

When I click on the mail app it either immediately crashes and brings me back to the home screen or it opens briefly and tried to download all previous emails and crashes in the middle. If the emails have been previously deleted (I.e. in the trash folder), tap Edit at the top of the list. You should see a delete all button at the bottom. If the messages are in a standard folder, they need to be handled one at a time.

How can I delete unwanted mail addresses from the auto fill list in e.mail

When I go to type a mail adress on my ipad I get a drop down list of previous mail addresses including all the typo's and used once. There doesn't seem to be a way of deleting unwanted one's. Unless anyone knows better?

Hello, I recently upgraded my skype desktop version (windows) to 7.0.85 I used to be able to get all voice mails on one page by going to "view > voice messages" and delete or save as necessary. Where is this feature to view all and/or delete voice mails?

Yosemite is recreating plist and other files deleted in Mail.app

This happens several times: files I used to delete (like the previous recipients list in mail.app or the signaturas in Mail) are recreated automatically...
That's strange, even if I trash the files, and reboot, the miles are full of information and recreated again and this is a problem for me since I want to delete them to recréate brand new ones with good information. Whah's happening in Yosemite ? Where this information is stored ? I wonder....

You may be able to re download past purchases, read here > Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If you delete purchases, they are no longer stored in iCloud.

Accidental Delete of Mail.app

I accidentally deleted my Mail application. What do I do to recover or reinstall mail.app, without overriding the emails and setting saved in my system/library.

I'm happy to report that you are safe so as long as you didn't touch or delete any of the preference files for Mail in the library or preferences folders.
What you're going to have to do though is find your original system restore discs (the grey ones that came with your computer at purchase) to reinstall Mail.
Apple Discussions board user, Cornelius, previously recommended this application called "Pacifist" in order to extract specific files from a restore/installation disc. You can use it to find the Mail.app and restore it onto your Mac.

Upon reinstallation and startup of the Mail application, it should automatically detect the old settings and e-mails and work right away.
Maybe you should back up your Mail preferences files before running the application for the first time, just in case it happens to reset things or override the old settings.

Are you referring to @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com emails? Or some other email providers emails?
If the former, it should do that automatically. If the latter, no. iCloud does not (nor is it supposed to) sync non-Apple provided emails.

Mail is backed up automatically. If you make backups automatically, open Mail application and then, open the Time Machine app (in /Applications/Utilities). You will access to the Time Machine interface, and you will be able to see all your mails of all the backups you have, and you will be able to restore them. It means that your mails are backed up onto the Time Capsule
