Delete PSA Request

Hi Experts,
1. I need to delete PSA request(50 request) in BI 7.0  production system.
2. Also need to include the process type 'deletion of PSA request' to the existing process chain.
Pls provide me the steps to follow to perform the above activities.
Regards,
Anand

Hi,
I found this answer for deleting the psa request.
1.      Select the DataSource that you want to delete requests from the PSA for and choose Manage.
       2.      On the next screen, select one or more requests from the list and choose  Delete Request from DB.
       3.      When asked whether you want to delete the request(s), confirm.
The system deletes the requests from the PSA table.
You can also delete requests in DataSource maintenance. Choose Goto ®   Manage PSA (pushbutton). Follow the instructions above, starting from step 2.
Can i follow the same in production. Pls confirm.
Regards,
Anand.

  • Problem in Delete PSA Request

    Hello Guys,
I have come across a strange behavior of Delete PSA Request variant in Process Chains. When I am trying to delete PSA through Process Chain, I could delete PSA of all datasources except 0CO_OM_WBS_1.
I tried it through different combinations, but could not delete data in 0CO_OM_WBS_1 through Process Chain. Can anyone help me through this, or any valid explanations on this front.
    Thanks,
    Saurabh

    Hi saurabh,
It seems that you have some inconsistent requests in your PSA. Try running the program RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY/_MS and give your PSA technical name there which can be easliy found out once you click on the manage tab of you PSA at the top.
Just put that technical name & run the program in repair mode. One the program is success full, your chain should be able to delete the requests there after.
Check the Below thread, on how to delete the inconsistent requests from PSA.

hope that the info helps you.

Right Click the PSA and select Delete
or you can use the function module RSATREE_PSA_DELETE_BATCH to clear all the PSA.

  • Delete PSA request from ODS

    Hello Guys,
I need to know how can I delete the PSA request number generated when request is activated
    This request is type:  ODSR_*
I need to delete this request in order to activate again the data of my ODS reuqest ID, because a problem the activation terminated unsuccessfully, and know I see the request in red, and with the request for reporting available.
I want to delete it, because if I activate the request again, there is going to consume more space in my table space of ODSD.
    thanks in advance

    Ok, thanks for your help.
    One more question.
The first activation failed, and when I saw the table space for ODSD, it decreased for about 1GB, my question is, if I reactivate the request, is going to consume another 1GB for the table space???
Thats why I want to first delete the PSA request that generates when activated data, in order to recover that space that was consume in the first failed activation.

  • Issue in deleting PSA request in the backend table.

    All
We have been facing this strange issue with PSA - Ideally, when we delete a  request in the PSA, the contents of the respective back end table also get deleted. However, in case of one of the PSAs, if we delete the contents of the PSA, the same is not reflected in the backend table. As of today, the PSA is empty but the back end table has around 1 mn records. Looks like it has appended all the requests that we have loaded so far and not deleted the earlier entries.
Any help on this issue will be appreciated. Thanks.
    Regards
    Niranjana

In continuation it all depends on the SP you are ,i presume you are above SP>10 so below should not be an issue for you.
When you try to delete requests from the PSA that were loaded into the PSA using an old 3.X DataSource and the DataSource has been convertes into a new NW2004S DataSource in the meantime, you cannot delete the requests properly.
The administration information is deleted, but the data remains in the PSA table

  • Delete PSA requests; no table name

    Hi,
I have to delete a lot of requests from PSA; I do this via a little process chain. Therefore I need to know the PSA table.
So I go to my DataSource -> Manage and see in the upcoming dialog window on top the name of the PSA table.
Unfortunately at some DataSources no table name is being displayed.
How can I find the table name, how can I delete quickly all the many requests?
    Thanks!

    Hi,
You can find PSA table name by Data Source (not by InfoProvider) with SE16. See Table RSTSODS in field specify DS tech name (with * at the end, eg: 2LIS_11_VAITM*): in field ODSNAME_TECH you will find tech name of PSA table.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • OLD deleted PSA request is being fetched by DTP in load-Very strange

    Hello Friends,
One week before one delta request was loaded to PSA which was not updated to Target.
Because of some reason Later we had to delete the INIT after removing all the requests from PSA .tHEN we did init again (for some reason). Then II loaded first delta to PSA.wHEN NOW I am trying to load data from PSA TO CUBE,it is picking up old delta request also which is currently also not available in PSA.This is really strange.
request is not there in PSA but being extracted by DTP ??
Any idea ,why it has happened?
I have thought of a solution for it ..to make the previous delta request RED in infopackage monitor ...then to load the DTP again...But why it;s happening?
Is it SAp bug or I am missing anything here??
    Thanks

    Correct Ajeet.
Infact I had checked PSA and then INIT was refreshed.Still how delta request related to previous delta INIT is coming??clueless???
I had checked already with changing the date in PSA.....no old request is available.it is empty ...
    And Ajeet,
It is easily visible in DTP monitor to see the request being extracted in load from PSA.
Any other Idea...we are at SP-17.
    thanks

    Hi Rajesh,
You may create a simple process chain, where you could include the variant "Delete PSA Request".At the bottom of this variant maintenace screen you would find options exactly matching your requirements. It's a very simple option and should not take you more than 5 minutes.
    Best Regards,
    Bansi.

  • "Delete PSA" variant  not transported

I have a process chain which involves a 'Delete PSA request' process. When this is transported into our Test environment the variants do not appear so the deletion does not happen. The process still exists but the variant defining which PSA to delete is blank and so no deletion occurs.
Does anyone know what the problem could be and how we can resolve it?

Hi, the table names are different in Dev and QA (/BIC/B0000628 in QA and /BIC/B0000302 in Dev). So if we reactivate the datasource in Dev, then re-transport the datasources and then retransport the process chains should this resolve the issue? Would the psa tables be re-created with the correct table names in QA if we do this?
Nothing in QA has been activated manually after transport so not sure how that would happen.
We are using NW 2004s, SP 8 at the moment.
    Thanks for you help
