"Delete PSA" variant not transported

I have a process chain which involves a 'Delete PSA request' process. When this is transported into our Test environment the variants do not appear so the deletion does not happen. The process still exists but the variant defining which PSA to delete is blank and so no deletion occurs.
Does anyone know what the problem could be and how we can resolve it?

Hi, the table names are different in Dev and QA (/BIC/B0000628 in QA and /BIC/B0000302 in Dev). So if we reactivate the datasource in Dev, then re-transport the datasources and then retransport the process chains should this resolve the issue? Would the psa tables be re-created with the correct table names in QA if we do this?
Nothing in QA has been activated manually after transport so not sure how that would happen.
We are using NW 2004s, SP 8 at the moment.

Pls. check manual:
Phase SAVE_VAR_CHK
After the upgrade, many of your variants can no longer be used because the relevant selection screens
have changed. If your Basis Source Release is 4.5B or higher, the SAP system offers two reports to
save the variants:
n RASUVAR1 saves your variants on the source system.
n RASUVAR2 restores the variants in the target system.
During phase SAVE_VAR_CHK you can decide whether you want the upgrade tool to run report
RASUVAR1. The report is started in phase JOB_RASUVAR1. If you have decided to run report
RASUVAR1, phase JOB_RASUVAR2 automatically starts report RASUVAR2 towards the end of the
upgrade.

Delete psa variant in process chain

Hi all,
I am trying to create deletion of request from PSA and when I go to create the variant and new screen comes up where I have to specify a object type and then object name. also at the bottom there are 4 options older than __ days page before __date
only successfully booked/updated request
only those request with errors, that are not booked in data target.
Can someone tell how to deal with all these fields, in that object field and name do we have to specify an infooject? or can we just say anything older that 20 days and create a generic variant to use for all the process?

Well, I can try to explain in short:
No real best practice for number of process chains, but the way they are structured in our system is by applications: COPA, SD, Purchasing, CRM applications, Inventory, and some other custom applications. These are the process chains (can be several in each area) that take care of the transactional data load...and also other data load processes: compression, roll up, activate ODS data etc.
Master data load chains are divided as Daily, Weekly and Monthly. Of course several master data loads are also included in the transactional chains if we are doing a look up in the update rules, or may be some master data comes from the transactional datasource.
Other than that there is the PSA delete chain that was discussed above.

Delete PSA Selection Patterns Not Visible

Hi All,
I am using BI 7 process chains to schedule a delete PSA job. I am using the delete PSA variant. The issue that I am facing is that in one of the documents that I came across on the net - it shows a screen where I can specify selection patterns with the delete PSA variant. My current variant does not display this information. It displays the following -
Object | Object Type | Object Name |
The document that I found has the following information
DataSource | Src System | Older than

Not deleted PSA

Hi Experts,
As per my requirment i need to delete the PSA requests in Testing box, everything is ok but one of my PSA is not deleted.
Can you please any one tell me how to delete PSA request?

Hi David,
to delete the PSA request -->select the data source >rc>select manage>it will display all the PSA request.> select the request that you want to delete and click on delete it will delete the PSA data.
Or use the below FM and programs to delete the PSA data.
T.code se38 , RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY excute , it will ask diffrent option for PSA deletion .
Main Function Module for Deleting data in PSA is : DB_DROP_TABLE.
Function Module for deleting data in PSA: RSATREE_PSA_DELETE_BATCH
Program : RSPSADEL1.

PSA data not getting deleted

Hello, I have an issue with the data in the PSA table not getting deleted. I went to the datasource manage screen and deleted all the PSA requests, but the data still remains in the PSA table. Do you know the reason and how to get rid of the PSA data from the table?

You may check if there isn't any inconsistency in the PSA. Happens sometimes.
There are a few reports to check and repair them, like:
- SAP_PSA_PARTNO_CORRECT
- RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY_MS (RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY_MS if your db is MSSQL)

Problem in Delete PSA Request

Hello Guys,
I have come across a strange behavior of Delete PSA Request variant in Process Chains. When I am trying to delete PSA through Process Chain, I could delete PSA of all datasources except 0CO_OM_WBS_1.
I tried it through different combinations, but could not delete data in 0CO_OM_WBS_1 through Process Chain. Can anyone help me through this, or any valid explanations on this front.

Hi saurabh,
It seems that you have some inconsistent requests in your PSA. Try running the program RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY/_MS and give your PSA technical name there which can be easliy found out once you click on the manage tab of you PSA at the top.
Just put that technical name & run the program in repair mode. One the program is success full, your chain should be able to delete the requests there after.

I need to delete the Unwanted request from PSA with status u201CRequest not updated to any data target using deltau201D
There are lot of requests are there in PSA but some of them loaded with status
u201CRequest updated in Data targetu201D u2013 I donu2019t want delete this requests.
Others u201CRequest not updated to any data target using deltau201D -- need to delete
We are deleting manually every week end.
Is there any program or tables which can delete automatically unwanted u201C Request not updated to any data target using deltau201D requests from PSA.

Hi Rajesh,
You may create a simple process chain, where you could include the variant "Delete PSA Request".At the bottom of this variant maintenace screen you would find options exactly matching your requirements.It's a very simple option and should not take you more than 5 minutes.

Unable to delete PSA data through process chain.

Hi Everyone,
I have got a problem in PSA deletion. We have got few PSA and change log deletion jobs which run at daily or fortnight basis. We planned to add few PSA tables to each daily and fortnight jobs depending on requirement.
We added in development and could see jobs deleting PSAs properly. Now on transporting to testing, we could see that PSA tables are not being deleted and there is no change in data. We have checked the PSA table names properly, in table RSTSODS and confirmed PSA is given properly only.
Anyone faced this problem or have idea about this issue, please let us know and suggest us.

Just check for the PSA requests as below:
Go to PSA in RSA1/ RSA1OLD -
> Select the PSA -
> Settings -> Display selection for PSA tree -> give start date and end date or any other selecetions as per your requirement-> it will show you all the details.

Detailed Fiscal year variant not processed

Hi all
While executing DTP for 2lis?_03_UM(Revaluations in Inventory) datasource, I got this error at RSDS level.
Detailed Fiscal year variant not processed.
I looked in several forums but couldn't solve the issue.
I tried these options.
I went to SPRO and i had given the V3 as a fiscal year variant in setting for BI content.
Then When I was trying to activate DTP again,I got his error.
1.PSA metadata is inconsistent
2.Error when activating DTP
Can somebody help me?

HI...I solved the error with PSA metadata being inconsistent by deleting and reloading IP and DTP.
But the Fiscal Year variant not processed still shows up.
Inside transformations I mapped fiscal year to V3 and its also maintained in tbale t009B.
In one of the forum the posted answer was like"Delete the fiscal year variant rule from transformations" which results in errror".
Is that the solution?

Transaction variant not working in quality

Hi,
I have created a transaction varient in SHD0 and activated it in develpoment and then
it is working fine in development system.Then variant transported to quality and there also
it is activated but somehow it is not working in qulaity sytem.
I checked in the respctive transaction with following path
SYSTEM>>>>>STATUS>>>>>SAP REPOSITORY DATA and i can find it is transaction variant name
below screen program.
Pl suggest the resolution.

Hi,
Check the variant is transported properly in QA. If present then check the transaction for the same.
If you make this transaction for a table the check the table delivery and maintenance allowed or not. It should be maintenance allowed.

You can check weather variant is protected or not in table VARID and field 'Indicator' by passing your variant name in field 'Variant'..

please check this link it shows how to make a variant protected... ex: if you create a variant and make it protected then only you can make the value changes in that variant it won't allow other users to make changes in the values.
RSVARENT this is the program which cancels the protected variants..

Error while deleting PSA Request Manually

Hi Experts,
I am trying to delete Older PSA Request, but it is throwing an Error "Internal Error occured during Authorization Check"....
Also, when i tried to see the Monitor, it is not showing any records anything...Its showing as no logs found...
I have used the Function Module "RSAR_PSA_CLEANUP_DIRECTORY_MS", but it is not working.
Can anybody suggest if there is any solution to delete PSA Request?

PR deleted line should not appear in PO creation

We create Purchase Orders with reference to Purchase Requisition. In case of Multiple Line Item in PR, there are some line items marked for deletion.
While creating PO, the line items marked for deletion in PR should not be adopted (appeared) in PO. What settings should I make to do it.

In ME21N, you receive message 06 050 - "Purchase requisition & item & already deleted". This message can be changed to an error message via IMG transaction OME0. The checks for the messages can only take place,
after adopting all positions (as well deleted ones).
To prevent this, please check to see if one of the following will help:
1) Select the checkbox 'Open only' on the selection screen for the overview. In this case, the deleted items will not appear on
the overview and therefore they cannot be adopted. Or,
2) If you do not want to have the purchase requisitions with deleted items selected in ME21N, you can use the field "deletion indicator" in the variant for your purchase requisitions, by excluding it in   the dynamic selections.
P.S. If you have maintained message 06 050 as E (error), the user will not able to save the PO (he can only hold it)

Delete Indexes Variant ended with errors in Process chain

Hi experts,
I have a process chain which executes dialy to load data Info Cube we create the index and finally we delete the index after that we have few variants..
Remaining all variants are executed with out errors except delete index variant I checked the error message it shows that <b>" The system has not finished loading request APO_R46PWZHRIA7JS9NOM8X879QEZJ into data target ZUP_CARF1"</b>
It is so happened weekly twice or trice not every day. one day it was running with out any errors and one day this process chan was ended with errors.
I need to know the reason why this variant was executed with errors.?
I need your valule sugestions regarding this issue.

therevare some functional constraint of processes.
while deleting indexes
it is not possible to:
                              loading
                              indexes are being built
                              stastics are being built
                              during rollup
                              while compressing
                              while updating.
my be u can check which is the other process chain that does all above oprations in concerned infoprovider.
