Delete Radio channels in iTunes?

I have a huge number of Radio channels that Apple iTunes (v 10.6.1) comes with by default (as you know if you've ever looked at the Radio listings).
How can I delete most of them so I don't have to scroll through them?
If I have to do it via Terminal or going in to the System folder it's okay.
Thanks for any info.

You can create a playlist and drag only the stations you want to this playlist.
Then go to iTunes prefs > General and uncheck Radio..

  • Add Internet Radio Channel to iTunes.

How can I add internet radio channel to iTunes?

    Take a look here:
"How to Listen to Internet Radio Stations": _http://www.macinstruct.com/node/101_
And if you are having trouble with a url- look at the html source. This gives a rough example of an internet radio site that you can listen to in Safari. So, How do you get the url into iTunes?

  • How do I delete radio shows from iTunes and my iPod at the same time?

I have a lot of old time radio shows on my iPod. First, I copy them from iTunes to listen to on my iPod. When I am done, I want to delete BOTH of them at the same time. I am trying to avoid having to search for both because, for some reason, I cannot search both the iTunes and the iPod content at the same time. I obviously do not want them synced. In the previous version of iTunes, I was able to do with a key command. Now, I cannot figure out how to do it. ( I really wish there was a way I could color each selection so that I can find which ones I copied to the iPod easily. You know, just like how it's done in the operating system, where we can add the color label.)
Anyway, is there a way to do what I want, or am I stuck with searching separately, and then deleting them separately? Laborious indeed. Oh, yes, the duplicate function doesn't work here because you can't search both the iPod and iTunes at the same time.
Thanks in advance to all you smartie-pants out there.

when you purchas e a tv show from the itunes music store and then sync it to the ipod. there will appear a new name in th evideo subsection of videos on the ipod called tv shows thats where they will be and where you can watch the,.

  • Why would some if the radio channel not load sometimes .

strangely some of the radio channel in itunes don t load... they just keep in showing the loading message...
others times they just work properly ....    is  the proplem  from my pc  or is it from the channel themselves..?
    thx for any  comments....

We cannot say without trying to play the channels at the same time as you.  If it is sporadic it is more likely it is the station's server, or possible the intermediate server that connects you to the station.  One thing to try is to add the station directly to a playlist so it goes directly, rather than relying upon Apple's radio list to generate each time.

iTunes (Yosemite) radio channel (Classic Ska) stops playing, have to delete and re-add constantly, then is work for a while and I can repeat this on multiple systems.
Any one having similar issues?  Help?

    Hello drkathy
It may be an issue with Wi-fi not maintaining its connection. Start with checking the Wi-Fi signal strength on your iPad by following the steps below.

  • ITunes Radio channel selection not playing selected artist.

When you select a channel on iTunes radio it appears that the selected artist is never to hardly never played.  For example I selected Jimmy Buffett to create Jimmy Buffett radio. I skipped six songs and never heard Jimmy Buffett. I tried the same with other artist and maybe heard the selected one once.
With Pandora your selected artist is played every third or fourth song. What gives?

This is still a very new service and it not as mature as Pandora. Be patient with it.

  • Why isn't BBC Radio 4 on itunes radio anymore?

Since about a week ago BBC Radio 4 has disappeared from itunes radio News and Talk Radio channel. Anyone have any idea why, or where it's gone? Other BBC radio streams are still there...
Also, is there any way of listening to BBC World Service radio in itunes?
    Thanks

No idea why, but got round this by adding the R4 stream - http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/listen/live/r4_aaclca.pls works fine!
World Service is here - http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/meta/tx/nb/live/eneuk.pls

  • The podcast channel on iTunes Store cannot sync the new program with my podcast homepage

I am the owner of a podcast named Sidetalk. Since lat month, the podcast channel on iTunes Store cannot sync the new program with my podcast homepage, and even show the owner as UNKNOWN.
Could you fix it? Or let me know how to modify the information.
    Many Thanks.

Although episodes up to 1 November show when subscribing the feed comes up empty when examined in FireFox, and FeedValidator complains of a problem in line 28 - it's in the space after the comma (or possibly before it) here -

I can't see what this might be - perhaps you managed to get a word processing invisible code character into it: I can only suggest you delete that section and retype it.
It's odd that it's appearing when subscribing but not in FireFox, but it does seem likely that this is blocking the Store from updating.

  • Can't listen to all radio channels

I've just tried to listen to some radio channels but do not connect. Some do, others don't. A few days ago it worked OK. Did recent update cause problem? I tried Repair Disc permissions, still no music on some channels.

No. I used the sites' direct streams. I could be wrong, but the iTunes' feeds are just redirects (http://pri.kts-af.net/redir/), right?

  • How to stream talk radio on iTunes 12.  Was able to do so on iTunes 11, but can't find the radio stations on iTunes 12.

Just upgraded to iTunes 12 - and now cannot stream local radio stations on iTunes.  I've looked under the RADIO section but the upgrade deleted my stations.  When I try to ADD a radio station - the iTunes 12 Search doesn't find it...  I was able to find and stream this same radio station with iTunes 11.  The iTunes 12 upgrade wiped out my history and radio stations.  Has anyone figured out how to add back individual radio stations?

    Hey bbhillfarm,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are having trouble finding the Internet Radio section of the new iTunes 12. The following resource should point you in the correct direction:
Listen to Internet radio - iTunes Help
    http://help.apple.com/itunes/mac/12/#/itns2946
    Tune in to Internet stations
    1. Click the Internet Radio button   near the top left of the iTunes window (if you don’t see it, click ).
    2. To see the available stations, click the triangle next to the type of music you want to listen to.
    3. To tune in, double-click a station.
If you use a dial-up modem to connect to the Internet, choose a station with a bit rate of less than 48 kilobits per second (kbps) for best results. To see a station’s bit rate, select the station, then choose File > Get Info.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • How do I switch radio channels?

It was recommended that I switch radio channels on my router to fix the sluggish time for connecting to the browser. I was told I'm onChannel 6 andthat this might be over-crowded. Is this something a tech neophite can accomplish? Thanks , Margrette

Note, in the USA the only channels that do not overlap are channels 1, 6, and 11.  All the others overlap to some extent, so if you change to channel 9 you will see interference from both users of 6 and 11 (and 7 and 8 and 10).  Yes, I know it doesn't leave much wiggle room.  My wi-fi can see 30+ routers in my area, all trying to use 3 channels.

  • Does any one know , how to delete the others in itunes. it takes lot of space

does any one know , how to delete the others in itunes. it takes lot of space, i wanna delete that... Actually what it contains

Those are the data of the installed apps. Don't listen if someone says that it's an iOS, because it is not. On your iPhone, go to general > usage. It will show you all the programs installed on your iPhone. If you click any of them you will see how much of "others" it has (documents and data)
There's no way to delete it if you want to still have those apps. You can reinstal those which has the most "others" but after some time of usage, it will raise again.

  • I deleted an audiobook from Itunes on my computer and emptied my trash, plugged in Iphone 5s to sync Itunes. Audio book still appears on my Iphone. How do I get rid of audio book on Iphone?

I deleted an audiobook from Itunes on my computer, emptied my trash, they attached Iphone 5s to computer to sync computer to Iphone thinking that by deleting the audiobook from Itunes, the audiobook would then be deleted from my Iphone.  It's still on my Iphone.  How do I get rid of the audiobook on my phone?

You transfer the purchases to the computer you use to sync the iPhone.  You can use a thumb drive or an external HD, etc.  Read this: iTunes for Mac - How to copy purchases between computers:  http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1373

  • HT4913 If the music library on my iPhone will be deleted when I enable iTunes Match, does that mean that I will not be able to access that music library when I temporarily turn off iTunes Match on the iPhone, e.g., when on the subway & can't connect to Ma

I have subscribed to iTunes Match and have employed it to listen to music on my Macbook Air and iMac.  On these devices it seems to operate by streaming music to the device rather than deleting the device's current iTunes library and downloading songs as they are played from iTunes Match. Not so on the iPhone as far as I can tell. Consequently, to date I have not activated iTunes Match on my iPhone 4S.  I presently have 40-50GB's of music on my iPhone, sync'd from my iTunes music library on my Macbook Air.  I am concerned that if I enable iTunes Match on my iPhone I will lose the music library already on my iPhone, as Apple seems to be representing that once iTunes Match is enabled on the iPhone the current music library, carefully compiled, will be gone from the iPhone forever (unless I later re-sync it from the iTunes library on my laptop), that it will be deleted.  Although this would free up a lot of space on my iPhone, I bought the 64GB phone just so that I could keep a lot of music on it and accessible at all times.  I am concerned that in certain instances, say if I am in the subway and want to listen to music on my iPhone but  don't have internet access below ground, that I won't have much music to listen to, only those songs previously played and thus downloaded onto the phone from iMatch, presenting me witrh a rather limited choice of music to play instead of the 40-50GB's I now have to choose from. Apple seems to have presented me with the choice of the lesser of 2 evils: i) enable iTunes Match and lose the music library already on the iPhone in exchange for access to iTunes Match and a greater number of songs than I can fit onto the phone (my library exceeds the phone's capacity) when a Cloud connection is available or ii) don't enable iTunes match and limit myself to only those songs, a considerable portion of my library to be sure but not all of it, that I can fit in the phone's storage space, i.e., the 40-50 GB's I have on there now.  If I choose the latter course, each time I purchase an album I'll have to delete another album to make room for it on the phone.  Apple thus offers me a sort of Hobson's choice, bad all the way around.  Do I have this right? The Apple techs I've spoken to don't seem to have a handle on the "deletion" aspect of enabling iTunes Match on the iPhone.   Right now, I'm too scared of "losing" my iPhone music library to enable iTunes Match on the iPhone. [Possible work-around, albeit a pain in the ***: I suppose that I can enable iTunes Match on the iPhone and spend the next couple of weeks 24/7 downloading songs from my iTunes Match library back onto the phone to replace at least some of those deleted when Match was enabled, thereby rebuilding a proxy library on the phone itself to play when I'm stuck in a tunnel between Brooklyn and Manhattan while maintaining access to thee larger iTunes Match library, more music than my phone will hold, once we come back into the light and my Cloud connection is restored.] Comments, suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.
