Delete button is disabled in Users form.
I need to delete a responsibility from a user but the delete button is disabled.

Hi,
You cannot delete a user/responsibility from the application/database as it is not supported. Instead, end-date the user/responsibility.

Hello everyone,
I am a junior QA engineering that has been given the task to learn about EBS(E-Business Suite) r12.1.1. I am very new to EBS, and have never worked on any other ERP software.
I would like to know if there is a way to delete users that I create. When I try to delete a user it doesn’t actually remove the user entry. It suspends/suspends the user.
Is there a way to delete user accounts from the EBS user store/database?

Hi,
Applications users cannot be deleted since records belonging to users are kept for security and monitoring purposes (same applied for responsibilities). In addition, the user is recorded in Who columns, so deleting would cause foreign table data integrity issues.

Database privileges for integration between EBS and Third Party software

Hi,
We have engaged a third party invoice scanning software vendor that wants to install database components on our existing EBS database.
We run Oracle EBS 11.5.10.2 on a 10g database. The third party software vendor wants privileges like select, update, insert, delete on Oracle EBS tables like ap_invoices_all, po_distributions_all, gl_code_combinations, and all important workflow tables.
The third party software vendor says the privileges are needed for their APIs and I have refused to grant the privileges. My employer now wants me to justify my refusal.
Does anyone know if Oracle have documents that say that direct updates on Oracle EBS Application tables is not acceptable? The manuals have the “Do Not Use Database Tools to Modify Oracle Applications Data” section but is there anything else?

First configure the same via the following menu path:
1.) IMG>Financial accounting>Financial accounting global settings>Taxes on sales/purchases>Basic settings>External tax calculation>Define physical destination
2.) Then test connection (option is available there).
3.) If the connection is successful, also verify that the external tax package installed supports the R/3 4.6 version of the API. You do that by going to:
System Information>Function List
Check if the following functions are listed:
RFC_CALCULATE_TAXES_DOC
RFC_UPDATE_TAXES_DOC
RFC_FORCE_TAXES_DOC
RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION
4.) Then test the tax data retrieval:
From SE37, select the relevant function modules like RFC_DETERMINE_JURISDICTION.
The above 4 steps are necessary to satisfy that the RFC connection is established

Oracle Apps data Purge

Hi Apps Gurus
We have a requirement to delete one of the operating units data from Oracle Projects ,SCM and Finance modules.
There are huge transactions and interfaced to GL and other modules(e.g. Payable Invoices have been transferred to GL)
There are standard concurrent programs and Purge functionalities, however it checks for dependencies. We would like to delete it completely including GL module.

You can not delete module from EBS,If you do than consistiency will be destory. You can not delete data from backend too, coz its also can be cause many problem.
If you need to purge huge data than you have to log SR and confirm it wiht oracle support

Deleting the all collected optimizer stats for EBS R12

Hi DBAs,
How I can completely delete the optimizer statistics related to EBS R12 running on database 11.2.0.2. Purge old stats job seems only purging the old concurrent data, not the optimizer statistics.

Why don't you simply run "Gather Schema Statistics" concurrent program again?

Load of EBS Supply Chain data deletes data for General Ledger

Hi,
we are trying to load data from EBS 11.5.10 to BIAPPS 7.9.6. We have loaded data to Financials Subject Areas (Budget, Financials - COGS, Financials - General Ledger, Financials - Payables, Financials - Receivables) using pre-defined execution plan Financials_Oracle 11.5.10 and data has been successfuly loaded and shown on dashboards.
Later we have loaded data into Supply Chain Subject Areas (Employee Expenses, Financials - Payables, Supply Chain - AP Invoices, Supply Chain - Purchase Cycle Lines, Supply Chain - Purchase Order, Purchase Receipt, Purchase Requisitions) using pre-defined execution plan Procurement and Spend: Oracle 11.5.10. After this load data are visible on Procurement and Spend dashboards but previously loaded data on Financials - General Ledger dashboards are missing.
So we have loaded data to Financials again which brought Financials data back to dashboards but data for Procurement and spend disappeared.
We have also trying to load all data using Complete Oracle 11.5.10 execution plan. After this load most of the dashboards for Financials and Procurement and spend are empty.
And finally we have created our own execution plans for Financials, Supply Chain and both and tried the same scenario. The results are the same. It seems to me that load of Financials data deletes Supply Chain data and vice versa.
Can somebody advice how to load data for Financials and Supply Chain together?

EBS deletion

Hi All,
We have deleted the bank statement ID 179 & 180 using program RFEBKA96 and got the success message as the records are been deleted from the Header and line item tables.
However, the statements are still visible in Feba and the next bank statement we are trying to upload, is not getting executed saying Bank Statement 180 already exists, entry ignored.
And light on the issue will be much appreciated..

Hi Nitin,
You should check the short id of the bank statement (kukey) , when you delete the values using RFEBKA96 you delete the statements searching it for the short key and not for the statement number (AZNUM).
You can follow these steps in order to correct delete the bank statement using RFEBKA96.
1st step. Indentify the statement ID by FF_6
      Fill the field application with 0001 (it is the code for EBS)
     Then you can fulfill also the following fields:
      - Company code
      - House Bank ID
      - Bank Account Id
Run the program and in the headers of the output you can check the statement number (AZNUM) and the ID (KUKEY).
Then you run RFEBKA96 for the ID.
I believe this information will help you to solve your issue.

Today I get a very interesting requirement. We have a one year old instance. Now, senior management wants to remove/purge/delete all transactional data though they want to keep all the EBS suite R12.1 setup and configuration information. I do not have any idea how can I achieve this. Please help me on this regard.

EBS Resposibility mapping to Roles in EM without EBS SSO

Hello All,
I have a hard time on figuring out how to implement data level security in OBIEE 11g.
We are implementing OBIEE 11g with EBS r12 source ( NOT OOTB) . The EBS ICX based integration has NOT been used instead SSO is achieved thru Windows Native Authentication ( user logs in Windows credentials without entering username or password )
Now when it comes to authorization part the Responsibilities from EBS need to be passed to Roles in EM and Web catalog groups in presentation services.
How can we implement data level security per EBS hierarchies .?
Anyone has tried this before .? Pls help.!

-SVSThe way we implemented security in projects module, is by creating an ETL interface that does a full load of the project security table, which holds the project managers to their projects information. So the table would look like below:
User ID Project Number Active_Flag

There will be another table which stores the user to roles relationship like svee mentioned in his post. Roles session variable would be puling data from the user to role table, where as project_key sesison variable would pull in the data from the project security table, and therefore both data level and object level security is achieved.

on AIX server.
Now I have to remove it completely
What are the steps taken to do so??
I have used different users for the DB and the Apps tier owners.

Oracle E-Business Suite R12 includes 3 ORACLE_HOMEs:
- 10.1.2 for the Developer Tools
- 10.1.3 for the Web Server
- 10.2 for the RDBMS
- cd $ORACLE_HOME/oui/bin (for any Oracle Home)
- ./runInstaller
- Remove the Installed Products
The above will uninstall all ORACLE_HOMEs that belong to this instance. Remove other files which are relevant to this instance manually then (i.e. APPL_TOP, COMMON_TOP, ..etc).
Make sure you take a backup of the global/local inventories before starting the clean process.

Payment order clearing with EBS in SAP

I am little confused with Payment order clearing with EBS. Actually the process is as below.
1. We create an invoice for Vendor - FB60 / MIRO
2. We make the payment through F110, which creates a payment order but this will not post the payment document. Here, the payment order will be generated for payment ref.
We should clear that Invoice by uploading the EBS.
I have created a posting rule as below

Debit side

Acc Symbol (Debit) - Blank
Credit side

Acc Symbol (Credit) - Main Bank Account

The Problem seems to be that the payment order number is extended with your company code number due to which the system is not recognizing your payment order. Give one more try by just entering the payment order number and deleting the co code and year after that, just like below.

Below are the step we are going to flow .
Download the EBS 12.1.1.
Apply Patch 8639046 to have the Rapid Install wizard to 12.1.1.11 for Windows Server 2008.
Install EBS 12.1.1 on database tier using Rapid install.
Install EBS 12.1.1 on Application tier using Rapid install.
Use Auto Patch to apply R12.AD.B.DELTA.3 Patch 9239089
Use Auto Patch to apply Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 Patch 9239090
Use Auto Patch to apply the latest consolidated online help Patch 9239095.
My problem is we already have Oracle Database 11.2 in Database tier .
So can we give the already exixting database name in EBS 12.1.1

but does not have information for installation.
