Delete shared photo - how to???

Tried sending a photo over skype and instead of SENDING THE FILE skype uploaded it to its server WITHOUT ASKING ME and sent a link to the file on its server for the other person to access. Now I want to delete the file and it seems THERE'S NO WAY TO DELETE IT or manage my shared files. What's up with that?!? Skype team, please respond!
this is unacceptable! I wanted to SEND the file, not have it uploaded somewhere! Please fix this ASAP!

yes, I tested it, you need to be able to access to the same accoung.  but howabout computers using several people and account is still open in a browser? Yeah, right... no excuses?
This is a nightmare! It is the same like telling "everyone who have access to the computer participated skype file transfering can see all the files too."
And what if i accidentally drag a work file instead of some other file to the conversation?? There is no way to remove it from the cloud...  it will be always there. like i said, this is a nightmare...

I accidentally deleted my photos; how do I download my files and photos from Adobe Online Storage?

So i think backup online the the most effective way to protect data loss!
If you found you have lost your important files, you can just download it from the online server.
And if you delete your files from hard disk and cannot download it from online storage, there is still another way-data recovery software to recover your lost files.

  • Delete shared photos!!!

We must create petition to Skype. They must delete our personal data uploaded to their cloud.

If you are trying to delete a shared album from your iPad that was shared with you by someone else, you can delete it by tapping the Shared section of the photos app so you are viewing your shared albums, tap Edit at the top, then tap the "x" on the corner of the shared album you no longer want on your iPad.
If you want to import the photos to your Mac before deleting them from your iPad, you can import them using either iPhoto '11 (if you have it) or Image Capture (see iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer).

  • How do I delete my 'Shared Photo Stream' ?

According the my iPhone 6 'Usage' I have 3.5GB of Photo Library and 1.4KB of 'Shared Photo Stream' - However I have both Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Sharing switched off in settings. Can anybody tell me where this 1.4KB has come from?
I understand it's not too much of a big deal, but it's not switched on so it shouldn't be taking up any space!
    Thanks in advance,

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Sorry you can't undelete a shared album, if you have the original photos, you will have to create it again without the comments.

  • Why does my app Documents have my photos in it?all of a sudden? I did not put them there! I'd like to delete them out of documents, but it will not let me, the app I mean? How am I delete the photos out of it?

HHi, I'm new here, but just this morning, I opened the app documents to load some information for study purposes. I saw a folder called photo library. Opened and saw all my photos in it. I did not place them in it. The app functions do not permit me to delete them. I have struggled with this all morning, and find myself here. I also ask a few friends who upon checking found a similar thing on their. IPads also. What we want to know is.........Hiw can we delete the photos out of the app Documents?
WHen we we got to lookin into it, we have found that we probably got this auto done with the new sharing feature and we will have to turn off photo share, which it says will delete all photos from iPad. Is this my only option?

Well you could have trashed your Silverlight install in some way.
That's what it looks like, but I'm not sure how, or how to fix it. I spent ages trying to get all the SL stuff installed, and had a lot of problems, mainly because of the issue with VS2010 SP1.
Does your app rely on a certificate though?
I wonder whether it's an issue with that.
It does, although I'm not sure why that would cause this problem.
Also, I get the same problem when running in VS, and if it were a certificate problem, I wouldn't expect that, as (I think) certificates aren't used when running in VS. Could be wrong on that, so if you know better, please correct me.
You realise, by the way, that Google have sety npapi disabled by default this month?

Ho hum, wonderful eh? Don't know what mine showed before, but I've got SL working in Chrome now, so it's academic (until September of course)
    Hope that helps.
Sadly, I don't think it does. I still get this error, whether running in VS, or running the production app. I really need to work out how to fix my SL install without having to uninstall and reinstall all of it yet again. I think that's the crux of the problem.
Thanks very much for the reply. Any further help would be greatly appreciated.

  • How to add a caption to photo in shared photo stream?

    Hi @all,
I hope I am not right but there is no option of using the description/caption for a photo in my iPhoto library when I share it with other people in a photo stream?
All I found was that you can use the comment field to add a caption-like text to each photo. But when I create a slideshow within iPhoto I then cannot use this comment text as a caption for the slideshow. This is completely useless to me as I would have to copy all my captions from the description field to the comment field to show them in a shared photo stream. Who at Apple came up with that idea? I might be wrong but isn't the caption feature one of the most important features when you share photos with other people? How should a fried know what a shared photo shows if I cannot add a descriptive caption to it?
    Cheers,
    Martin

    Martin,
there is no way to add captions, only the comments box in the Shared Stream.
See this discussion:  Re: How do I get photo descriptions to show on photos uploaded to Photo Stream?
The only textual annotation that can be streamed as part of the metadata of the shared photo is the filename (or  EXIF tags you added to the file in your camera or with other programs, like the copyright notice). So, to transfer a caption with your streamed photo, replace the filename by a caption.  You can do that in iPhoto by exporting your photos using "File > Export" and selecting "Filename > Use Title" in the export panel. This will use your current titles as the filenames. Then reimport the  exported photos and share the reimported photos with the changed filenames. You can delete the reimported files from the library after sharing them, but don't delete them from the stream.

  • How long do photos last in shared photo streams?

I was wondering how long photos will stay in shared photo streams.  Do these fall under the same rules are regular photo streams or will they stay there until I delete them?
I'd love to use this as a photo storage site versus Facebook!

I finally found an article on the Apple site that says "You can share as many photos as you like with Shared Photo Streams.  They don't count against your iCloud storage and aren't removed from iCloud until you delete them."

  • Photos-App: How do I find out which photos are used in a Shared Photo Stream?

    Hi folks,
I just ecountered a “problem“ using a Shared Photo Stream.
FYI: I have circa 1.200 images stored in Photos-App. About 360 of them are used in a Shared Photo Stream.
Now I'd like to delete all the fotos NOT used in said Stream.
Since the images in said Stream are not in the same order as they were originally taken, there are also many images between the ones used.
So now I am confronted with the time-consuming task of comparing and deleting the photos, switching between Stream and Album/webview all the time.
And do it all by hand. Naaaaaaaah! ):
Any ideas on how to speed up this whole process?
(I already wrote Apple to maybe add a label or icon to the photos used in a Stream (when in any other view) so it gets easier to identify the right ones.)
    Greets, Tim

Incorrect. Photos added to the Camera Roll are automatically uploaded to Photo Stream. Photos deleted from the Camera Roll are not automatically deleted from Photo Stream.

How long do shared photo stream albums stay in iCloud?

I actually found the FAQ for Shared Photo Streams and the answer is:
    Do shared streams ever expire?
No. Shared streams are removed from iCloud only if you delete the photo stream.

  • How do I remove or unsubscribe a shared photo stream?

Not sure how I remove a shared photo stream (not the pix themselves) or even unsubscribe from one I accepted.
The good ol' swipe to the left to make a delete button appear apparently doesn't work.

I too am pulling my hair out with this. Online searches have turned up no info and I have tried everything. I thought I would test out shared photo streams right after I updated to iOS6 so I set up a couple of different ones between me and my partners iPhones I have now removed all the pics but am stuck with the empty shared folders!! ***? I have tried everything nothing works. Even if I turn off shared phot streams in settings then turn it back on they come back. Fix this please Apple

How do I delete duplicated photos in my photo library?

If you want to just remove them form youriPhone or iPad then click on your device at top right and select the photos tab. You can then choose which photos sync out to your device in terms of Albums, Events or faces.
If you want to control which pictures share to your Apple TV then in itunes File, Home Sharing, Choose files to share with Apple Tv
If you remove them completly from everywhere then delete within the source app. Most commonly iPhoto or Aperture on a mac.
