Delete single photos in photostream
How do I delete one og more pictures from photostream?
I've already found out that I can delete my entire photostream "library".
But it should be possible to mark and delete 1 or more photos.
Does anybody know how to do that?
If it's not possible: APPLE pls. fix it

All of these posts are correct, and offer good insight into both the working & the limitations of photostream
The ways to avoid 'bad' photos ending up in the stream will all work, but they are quite an ineffecient way to do things.
You really have 2 options now
1) Just put up with bad, blurry photos in your stream & move on with life
2) Turn photo stream OFF most of the time, & turn it on only when you really want to show off some photos.
Until Apple allows the ability to indivudually delete photos from the stream, there's nothing else you can do.
Also, was just thinking. If you turn Photosteam off & delete its contents, THEN turn it back on again, will it fill the stream up with the last 30 days of photos currently on your camera roll? Or will it only add photos to the stream when you start taking new photos on your iphone camera?

Hi! I've just discovered that my brother and I share the same iCloud account, therefor he will se all my photos on photostream. I inactivated it on my phone quickly, but now I realized that the pictures just are deleted from my device. I really really need to get the photos deleted from all devices as fast as i can, I'd appreciate a quick answer. Thank you!

Can someone tell me how to delete a single photo from my Touch?
I believe that you have to delete it from the album that you are synching from iPhoto.
Or if you are synching all your photos, then you would have to delete it from your iphoto
library. -
Deleted iPhoto photos in photostream
When I upload photos into iphoto it creates an event (I have hundreds as am using a time delay sports camera).
I then delete the unwanted photos from the event in iphoto BUT photostream uploads ALL photos. Even when I go into WEB Photostream on imac and delete all the photos other devices photostream downloads.
How can I get photostream to synch only events of non-deleted photos?
Much help appreciated.
ThanksIn the iPhoto preferences turn off the auto upload to PS. Manually drag the photos you want in PS to it

I have tried to delete my old phots from my photostream but cannot, I went to icloud.com but cannot get to the advanced settings option to turn it off, also when I go to photostream album and tap edit I do not get the delte option - I have the latest version of software - anyone know how to do this.
I have kinda same problem, can't delete some pictures from photo stream directly from my iPad.
tap edit and can select photo but "Delete" button seems not acceptable.
i can see the delete icon but it's not working....
If i connect to my PC, it preview only 2 photos but iTune shows me number of picture is 48 photos,.
So these 2 photos are able to delete, but other 46 photos are not able to delete.
When open Photo stream, there are three icons on the top middle Photos - Photo stream - Albums
when i tap "photo", there are only 2 photos (which is deletable)
when i tap "Photo stream", there are no photo display. (display; New photo will be automatically uploarded and sent to all of your iClioud devices when connected to Wi-fi)
when i tap Albums, there are 2 files "Camera roll" (2 photos) and "photo stream" (46 photos).
In Camera roll photo can delete.
But ... Photo stream in Album, ... tap edit then can select pictures but there is no icon for delete.
And same as Lafayete, I went to icloud.com but cannot get to the advanced settings option to turn it off, also when I go to photostream album and tap edit I do not get the delte option

This is a user forum, you won't get a response from Apple. You cannot currently delete single photos from the photostream. You have to reset it. To do this go to icloud.com - advanced - reset photostream. Then toggle off/on the photostream on your device(s)

Look, there are a million threads on this already.
The facts are:
1) you can't delete individuals photos from Photostream. Simple as that.
2) if you want to delete all the photos, then switch PS off on all your devices (including iPhoto), go to iCloud.com, click on your name, go to advanced settings and reset PS. They will be gone from all your devices and iCloud.
3) switch PS back on in all the same devices.
Let's hope this is sorted out in the near future. -

Currently you can't. Once a photo goes into your Photo Stream, it stays there!
iCloud manages your Photo Stream efficiently so you don’t run out of storage space on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If you have Photo Stream enabled on your iOS device, every single photo you take appears in a special Photo Stream album that holds your last 1000 photos. You can’t edit or delete photos from your Photo Stream. If you want to touch up a photo or keep a favorite shot permanently, simply save it to your Camera Roll. iCloud stores new photos for 30 days, so you have plenty of time to connect your iOS device to Wi-Fi and make sure you always have your most recent shots handy. -
I currently have 1,177 photos on my iphone (4s) but it takes up 4.9 GB of space. Why is it so large? I do not use photostream - this is simply within my "Camera Roll". Other than deleting the photos, can someone tell me another solution?
My friend has over 2,000 photos on her iphone and it only used 1.7 GB of space and I know I had at one point over 3,000 photos on my phone and still had space left for more.
Any tips are greatly appreciated!

Melissa.When you open your camera app, does it say "HDR on" at the top?
HDR photos are better quality but take up much more space.
Also, go to Settings>photos and camera. Scroll down to "keep normal photo". Is it on? This feature saves a normal copy and an HDR copy of every photo you take.
I bet your friend has this feature turned off along with the HDR as well. -
Is it possible to retrieve 1000 photos that have been photostreamed thru to my mac from my daughter in Europe but not saved on my mac. These same photos have been deleted from my daughters ipad in Europe ?
If the photos have been deleted from Photo Stream, then they are gone unless they have been saved elsewhere. Are they not in the Camera Roll of the iOS device they were taken on?
Photo Stream is not a permanent storage solution. It stores up to the last 1000 photos taken on an iOS device for a maximum of 30 days. -

I can't delete photos from photostream
I'm totally freaking out because I have some really BAD photos on my photostream. I don't even know how they got there. I deleted them from my computer soon after uploading them and I deleted them from my camera, but when I try to delete them from my photostream by selecting a photo and then hitting "delete" I just get an error beep. No message, no disappearring photo, nothing. What is wrong? I don't have any other photostream enabled devices.

what is your MacOS X version and iPhoto version?
If you cannot delete photos from the iLifeAssetManagement folder, then you have a permissions problem. You should be able to do that. Try to fix the permissions for that part of your User Library.
Navigate again to the iLifeAssetManagement folder as described above. Then select the Folder and press ⌘I (clover leaf, capital letter I) for "Get Info". You shoud see an ifo panel like this:
Disclose the "Sharing & Permissions" brick by pressing the disclosure triangle. Press the padlock in the lower right corner and enter your administrator password. Make sure your user account .....(Me) has Rad &Write permissions, change the permissions if necessary. Then click the padlock and select to apply to enclosed items.
Then try again, if you now can delete photos from the Stream.

PhotoStream is purely a conduit for transferring pictures added to or taken on one device onto all the others seamlessly. Photos are held there only for 30 days. There is no way of accessing, viewing or deleting individual photos; you can reset the entire Photostream, erasing everything.
