Delete Sub Tasks

Dear All ,
One of the PM wrongly created subtasks and expenses were created on those and were paid by AP . We raised SR with Oracle Support and was told that it cannot be deleted.
We use an API to delete but we got this messages.
Error: API Error while deleting the Task: 1: You cannot delete this task because expense transactions have been charged to the task.
Error: API Error while deleting the Task: 2: You cannot delete this task because expense transactions have been charged to the task.
Can some one help in this issue.
Also can some one guide me how to move the expenses from on task to another.

The answer you received in the SR is correct. You won't be able to delete tasks if there are any transactions against it.
Transferring costs to another task/project will not help either.
It's a limitation we have in the system which can not be removed as data integrity will be compromised otherwise.

Go to SE01
Request -> Create ->Choose Transport of Copies->Enter description->Click Include Object button (Ctrl+F11)->
Choose Object list from request->Enter Request Number which contains object(s) you want to copy.

Unable to Create Sub Task

I work for a Government Organization. We have Oracle Projects and Grants
One of Users wanted to delete a Sub-Task, but by mistake deleted the "TOP TASK" Now when we create the Top task Oracle saves it. But when we create a Sub Task for that, it gives and error "Task Number is not Unique"???
Can someone tell me how to get around this issue?

You can use Powershell to create a Feature Pack that will add multiple features to a tenant group. Here's one for the default Foundation Features.

Is revenue and invoice at sub-task Level possible?

Is there anyway to generate revenue and invoice at sub-task level. Per Oracle standard we can do it project level or top task level but just want to check if there is anyway to do it at sub-task level. Even if through customization please let me know.

You may consider using billing extensions that will separate the invoices by sub tasks. However, to acheive that you will need to run in a loop the GDI for the same project. After first invoice is generated with only one sub task. you will need to approve and release it, and only than you could go on and run GDI again for the next sub task, and so on.
If the company agree that draft invoices will be automatically approved and released, you might consider using the automatic release client extension, to facilitate the cycles.
In order to get a separate invoice per sub-task you should develop an extension that will be called on PRE-Processing place.
That extension will check the available unbilled expenditures and verify if there are EI's in more than one sub-task. If so, select first sub-task and put one-time hold on all other sub-tasks' expenditures.
The extension for automating approval/release of invoices is called by GDI after the draft invoice is fully prepared. You can
develop your own logic for the conditions where invoice should be approved or released.
Just note, if you leave several invoices as approved, you will need to release them by the order they were created.
In the example of multiple sub-tasks on the project, the pre processing billing extension will leave EI's on sub-task 1, and all other tasks' expenditures will be put on one-time hold. Those the draft invoice will include only the sub-task 1 transactions.
The next GDI in the loop will not find sub-task 1 transactions, so it will pick sub-task 2 and all remaining transactions on other sub-tasks will be put on one-time hold. The second draft will include only sub-task 2 transactions.
The next GDI in the loop will not find sub-task 1 and sub-task 2 transactions. Therefore, next draft invoice will include the next sub-task. When no more sub-tasks'' transactions are available the draft invoice gets empty.
The automation can go further if you have many projects with that same requirement. You may develop a custom program that call the GDI in a loop for a single project, untill there is nothing more to bill there, then go on and call GDI in a loop for the next project, etc.

How to delete/release task under a request????

Hello,
I want to edit a program which is saved in a task under a request and the request is released,
but the problem is that while releasing the request the task under that request was not released and also that request was created by another user so I dont have authorization to delete or release the request.
In such case what could be done.

hi,
You will not have the authorizatoin to delete the task created by the other guy,so only way is to inform your basis guy and do it, or try do delete the program under the task and then task and then request.

There is no functionality in bpel to create subtask...you just need to creat new task or re-execute them in some sort of loop.
If im not wrong 11g got functionality to create subtasks/wizzard-style tasks

Process Definition Delete User Task

Hi All,
we have created Dummy Resource.For this Dummy resource i have added delete task so that when ever the resource is revoked the request will go to system admin group. so that he will manually update (setResponse) to revoked.
But when i click on revoke buttom all the task inside that resource are going to cancel state and i am not able to see the delete task in the resource history .

You need to add Delete user task under Undo Tab of any cancelled task(generally create user task). Once you do this your Delete User task will be triggered.

OIM PSFT UM delete user task

We are using PSFT UM v. 9.0.4 and I can't see any delete user task. The conenctor documentation does not mention it int he supported functions. Does this mean that the connector cannot delete the user or this is a must have for any connector?

Hi,
you have to apply undo task (delete task) on an unconditional task.
Also check Revoke if no longer applied in access policy, so whenever the the group membership rule failed delete task will trigger for revoke.
There should not be difference via API, your revoke task from OIM does same work .

Unable to delete a task

Hi,
When I try to delete the task from Identity Center console tree, it's unable to do that and the aleart dialog appears like blow,
"The task ... is scheduled for excution by provisioning. The provisioning queue entries must be cleared before you can delete the task."
So, I want to delete the provisinoning queue entries of this task, however I don't know how check this queue and handle it. Please teach me about this if you have some information.

I checked around the Monitoring "Provisioning queue" link, but I could not resolve this situation. Because the Monitoring does not display anything related to my deeling Identity Store and provisioning queue.

Thank you for your information of the way to clean up the provision queue.
I realized your way and ran the job, but the job was not executed normally. The Joblog did not display anything and also the provisioning queue was not deleted.
The "schedule rule" of the job is selected "On demand", and I pushed the "Run now" button. But the value of "scheduled time" does not change.
I think this situation is not caused by the cleaning up job configuration, but by the Identity Center's state or something like that.
Continuously, I want to some information and help. Please give me some idea or information.

Deleted Sub Account but POP forwarding is still ac...

Hello, as per subject, my deleted sub account is still forwarding emails to my non BT email account. As I cannot now log in to this old email account to turn off forwarding what do I do? Called BT but I don't think my problem was totally understood.
I would have thought deleting the sub account would have deleted everything (which is what the delete confirmation in bold red lettering said it would do).

Hi Owen.
When a sub account is deleted, it is actually marked for deletion. It remains in limbo for 90 days or so, possibly 3 calendar months. Any emails sent to it are not bounced as you might expect, and hence any forwarding set-up on the account will still function for those 90 days.
As far as I know, the only way to stop the forwarding is to get the helpdesk (possibly a Mod) to resurrect the email address re-attaching to your account. Then you can alter the forwading and then re-delete it.
Of course, you can always just ride out the 90 days.

[Outlook] tasks and... sub tasks.

Inside Outlook, I would like to have sub-tasks features.
Often I need to nest some sub-tasks into a main task.
There's some workaround ...or extra plug in to do it?

Hi,
Outlook does not have the capability for subtasks without add-ins. Numbering is the usual recommendation.
For example:
Task
1.1
Subtask A
1.2
Subtask B

1. If your Project element is released, you wont be able to delete that project element.
2. there is no std function to delete Task from PS, you can have a custom button in which you can
call BAPIBUS2175delete Function Module and cProjectscommit* function Module,
still you wont be able to delete Released Tasks
3. You can insert a task later by normal way from front end in cProjects.
