Delete Subledger journal

We deleted a Subledger journal (posting from FA) in our GL in error.  Create accounting was run in Final mode with posting to GL enabled (but not posting of the journal) in FA.
Since the journal is deleted, and accounting already created, how do we 'undelete' the journal?

Thanks for responding. Does this mean all the accounting entries from the deleted FA journal has to be passed as adjustment entries?  So, what happens if you delete the AP journals in GL coming from AP?
Thank you!

    Hi,
While i am try to delete Cash Journal system throws me error (Message No.:FCJ065: Numbering group 1001 can be used only for one Co. Code  and Cash Journal). Kindly provide me solution on that.
    Regards,
    Tarak

    Hi Tarak,
You can use the config nodes in SPRO to set up number ranges for your cash journal documents.
    IMG Path> FI Global Settings>Bank Accounting>Business transactions>Cash Journal
Define Number Range Intervals for cash Journal documents
    Define Numbering Groups
Define Number Ranges for numbering groups
After defining the number group here, you assign that in "Set up Cash Journal" Check if there is any clash anywhere in your configuration for different cash Journals.

  • BPC 10.0 - Deletion of Journals - Who, When, Why?

Dear All, At my BPC 10.0 system, lots of journals have been deleted. How can I check the following : who deleted the Journal? when was it deleted? why was it deleted( any text filed indicating this)? Thanks in advance. Regards, Peri

There is no audit function for journal. You may go to  idea place to post an enhancement requestl.
However, you can check directly from the back-end tables.
For how many journla deleted: check the records of table UJJ_JRNL. The colum status "D" means the deleted journla. JRN ID means the journla ID. There are other colums as well, such as USERC, USERP, DATEMODIFIED, etc. UESRC probably means who created the journla. You can do a test in your system and see what these fileds mean.
Also, you can run the program UJ0_GET_GEN_TABNAME to get the table of the journal. Then using Journal ID to find out the detailed of the journal entries.

    Dear SAP Student
It is just like inter unit cash transfers.  Also each department is spending cash on its own.  Now that I would like to know the balance cash departmentwise.
As you said if I receive and pay through vendors I would be in a position to know only vendor wise balances.  It does not serve my very purpose of deparmentwise balance of cash.
I agree with Selva to go in for creating deparmentwise cash journals in the company code since each deparment is incurring expenses also and each department wise balance is also required.

  • Disable delete in Journals

    Hi All,
Can we disable the delete option in Journals? Is there any way?
    Regards,
    Swetha

    Hi Swetha,
What used to happen with saved journals when they get deleted.....only the audit used to capture it if you had activated the activity audit for it.
SAP has done an enhancement recently to keep the saved journals in the journal table even when they get deleted. Thus you would have all the journals for audit. Check the for the relevant snote for this. Dont remember the snote....we have applied it and it needs to have web admin parameter to keep the deleted 'saved' journals in the table.
    Thanks,

  • IPhoto on iOs - What happens if I delete shared Journals???

What if I delete Shared journals? Will they be stills available on the web???

Albums are just pointers to images in your library. Deleting or changing an album has no effect on other albums or events.
Deleting from the library, on the other hand, will permanently remove pictures wherever they might be used.

  • Tracking down who has deleted what journals in HFM

    Hi all,
We used HFM v9.3.1. and some of our users are saying that a number of journals do not appear anymore under the "Process Journals" section when they are trying to run them. Apparently, last month, those journals were there but this month, they have somehow disappeared.
I have gone to the Administration > Task Audit screen but couldn't find any task filter which could tell me what journals have been deleted.
Even with the Journals Unposting task filter, there were not enough details\information against the records which were listed as I would have expected to see at least the name of the journal which were unposted as part of the list.
    Is there a way to:
    1. find out the list of journals which have been deleted in HFM?
    2. find out the exact name of the journals which have been unposted in HFM?
    Thanks in advance
    JBM

There is no way to see which users deleted journals. This is not an activity that can be tracked currently with Task Audit. Data Audit only applies to input level changes in <Entity Currency> and does not apply to any of the adjustment nodes.
If this is an ongoing problem in your application, you can certainly prevent users from unposting journals -- only give them rights to create and post, so they must request a different user to unpost them. Also, you should know that any user granted the Administrator role cannot be restricted from anything in an application (except granting access to other users or making changes to access).
Another idea is to make use of process management so that once an entity has been approved that no one can change it, let alone unpost and then delete journals.
The placement of classes on journals is entirely an "honor system" idea since there is no security on the classes themselves. It may be possible for a user to create a journal that he himself has no access to.
I think in this case you have to invest time in asking your users, or put better controls into your security plan.

  • Delete Reversing Journals

    Hi Friends,
The users created the Accrual/Deferral documents and also mentioned the dates for the reversal of these journals. However, the reversal entries were passed manually and now the users want to reverse the reversal journals from the list to prevent the automatic reversals.
How could this be done? Would appreciate your help on the same.
    Regards

    Hello,
There is no deletion for accounting documents, except parked documents.
However, you can delete them from the table, SE16N ==> &SAP_EDIT allows you to edit the table entries. But, I will NOT RECOMMEND this. (Be cautious before doing this kind of activity in production, as the data sits in number of tables)
It is suggested to reverse them.

    Ravi

  • Unable to delete a journal using Group ID

    Hello guys,
I have an imported journal that needs to be deleted. I used the delete journal window, issued the group id, the source and the request id and submitted the delete program but the journal could not be deleted. Though, the progrm completed normal.
    Any idea will help.

In which table is the data still appearing?

    Hi,
You could try and find more information from the logs, first change the level of logging for EPMA, it is set as standard to INFO and it is probably best changed to DEBUG.
    To do this
    Stop EPMA
Go to the deployed Web application directory.
    For Tomcat, this is C:\Hyperion\deployments\Tomcat5\EPMAWebTier\webapps\awb\WEB-INF\conf.
    Open AWBLog4j.properties.
    Modify this line:
log4j.logger.com.hyperion.awb=ERROR,logfile, stdout to log4j.logger.com.hyperion.awb=DEBUG ,logfile, stdout
    RESTART EPMA
Then try and delete again and check to see if the logs have further information.
    Cheers

  • IPhoto Journal is not deleted in iCloud!

Hi, i have tested the new journal function in iPhoto for iOS.
Later i deleted the journal on the iPad, but is not deleted in iCloud.
    What can i do?
    Best regards

I'm having a similar problem.  I deleted iPhoto from iOS and reinstalled it.  When I reinstalled it, of course, my journal was gone.  However, it remains in iCloud.  Two questions remain:
    a) I wonder, is there a way to get the icloud Journal back on my iPad so I can edit it again, or is it permanently gone from my iPad (though remaining in iCloud).
    b) Conversely, if I wanted to delete it from iCloud, how would I go about doing that.
    Thanks.

    Hello Mohamed.
Each Application User's Guide (for AP, AR, GL, CM and FA) has a section dedicated to Archive and Purge process.
Depending on the quantity of records you need to process perhaps you should consider other options like creating new organization(s), books, etc. and create only the desired open items in there.

  • Is there a way to re-import a Journal into iPhoto?

I created a Journal in iPhoto for iOS and published it to iCloud; but I am seriously running out of space on the iPad and would need to delete the Journal on the iPad. Thus I published it to iTunes, i.e. exported it through iTunes to my Mac and it appears there in a folder with the name of the journal. So far, so good.
Now I would like to do some more editing of the Journal, but don't know how to "re-import" it into iPhoto (iOS) on the iPad.
When I saved the files from iTunes to the Mac, they saved in a folder with the name of my Journal, but when I want to export them through iTunes back to the iPad, the export process does NOT accept the folder, but forces me to select individual files within this folder. Is this the right way (to choose all files in this folder), and will this work?  Or are there other apps (hopefully on the Mac) which allow to work on the iPad created Journal?
Thanks for any ideas and advice. Cheers, from  Austria, Veit Burger

    Leonie,
These are two very useful pointers, where and how on earth do you find these?
I think I used both methods (iCloud and iTunes) for both the iPhone and the iPad-mini; but in neither method do I have a backup of the iPad of a timeslot that contained the correct Journal.   :-(((   (I also fear that exploring the TimeMachine backups of my iMac won't yield anything useful?!?)
An earlier discussion, which I found, confirms your message above: once a Journal is deleted from your iOS device, it will ALSO be removed automatically from the iCloud server.  It's hard for me to accept this, or why this has to be so, but this seems to be the hard truth. The logical consequence of this seems to be: you can only create and PRESERVE Journals as long as they have space on your iOS device with which they were created. A puzzling, very puzzling, concept. If this is correct, it should explicitely be stated in the official Apple documents for iPhoto for iOS.   (With a somewhat equivalent app for OSX, the iWeb, I can publish as much as the WEBSITE holds, not limited by the space on my OSX device).   Truly puzzling.
Thanks and kudos for all the help you provide in this Forum!

The question is : can you delete a journal on the device while keeping it on the iCloud server.
    The answer is no.
The only way to preseserve a journal is to save it to iTunes and then publish it on your own server.
