Delete subtype of infotype

Hi,
How can I delete or delimit subtype of infotype? in table V_T591A?

It's not for all. For example: for IT2001, u can delete from T554S not fro T591A
You can follow that one:
1. Using view V_T582A in Sm30
2. Select your corresponding Infotype.
3. Open => u can find Subtype table => here is your table view (some time V_ + table or just table: try both) for your to maintain subtype.
4. Keep using F4 to find more related configuration table. It's very useful.

To Delete subtype of Infotype 1050 (Job Evaluation Results); please go to the node
SPRO >> Personnel Mgmt >> Compensation Mgmt >> Job Pricing >> Job Evaluation Data >> Define Job Evaluation Methods and select the Subtype that you want to delete.....
Once you opt for deletion, a dialog box will be popped up suggesting deletion of all entries.....Select 'all entries'..
and now go to PP01 and check the Job Evaluation Results Infotype for the Job and you will find that it doesnt appear anymore...

There is a standard User Exit for PA30 / 40 for PBO and PAI events.
ZXPADU01 for PBO and
ZXPADU02 for PAI events.
By writing proper code in here for the IT2001, you can write your rules.

Creating subtype for Infotype.

I have created a customInfotype following the steps below:
1) Go to Transaction PM01.
2) Enter the custom Infotype number which you want to create (Should be a 4 digit number, start with 9).
3) Select the 'Employee Infotype' radio button.
4) Select the 'PS Structure Infotype'.
5) Click on Create... A separate table maintenance window appears...
6) Create a PS structure with all the fields you want on the Infotype
7) Save and Activate the PS structure
8) Go back to the initial screen of PM01.
9) Click on 'All' push button. It takes a few moments.
10) Click on 'Technical Characteristics'. Infotype list screen appears
11) Click on 'Change'(pencil) button
12) Select your Infotype and click on 'Detail' (magnifying glass) button
13) Give 'T591A' as subtype table
14) Give 'T591S' as subtype txt tab
15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
17) Click on 'Infotype Characteristics' ... Infotype list screen appears
18) Click on 'Change' (pencil) button
19) Click on 'New Entries'
20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype's infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
22) Save your entries.
23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement...
25) In the PM01 initial screen...Select 'Screen' radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
26) In the next screen.. Select 'Layout Editor' and click 'Change'.
27) Screen default layout appears...here you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
28) Save and activate. (Don't forget to 'Activate at every level)
In thread Infotype the following method is given to create subtype for Infotype.
Subtype Creation :
Transaction PM01 Goto Subtype Characteristics. Click on Append and then subtype. Enter the name and description of subtype on screen.
Then goto technical Characteristics and maintain the details of subtype there. I.e name of subtype i.e. component name defined in PSnnnn. Subtype table is T591A.
Subty.text tab is T591S and time const tab is T591A.
But I am having no option to create subtype from PM01.
Please guide on this.

Hi,
What you are trying to do is to modify a Standard ( delivered by SAP ) object. This would obviously not be allowed all that easily. You will have to contact SAP and obtain what is known as an access key. You would then be able to modify the object. This stipulation makes it explicit that SAP is not responsible for any problems that you may encounter by changing the standard functionality.
There is, however, an exception to this. We have something called user-exits in sAP. These are the places in the code where SAP has given the customer an option to include some custom functionality within the standard functionality. That is because SAP thinks that these are the points where customer-specific functionality is most likely.
Hope you can now see the point. If you want to modify PM01, you have to either search if an appropriate user-exit is available, or you have to contact SAP to obtain the access key.

How to Deactivate Subtypes for INFOTYPE 0105.0021

Can anybody tell me how to deactivate the assignment of subtypes assigned to infotypes.
I have 7 subtypes of Infotype 0105 and 5 for 0021 out of which 3 are not required by clients both in 0105 & 0021,now i have to remove the assignment made to the Infotypes but i am wondering about the customiizing steps and Tables to be maintained please help.

There are certain specifications which are not available in 0041 but still poping up automatically ,
i have checked the settings in T548Y but no help it doesnt have the options but in maintaing 0041 the options coming up .

HR programming : mass deletion of PA Infotypes

Data uploading in Subtypes of Infotypes ( LSMW )

Hello Friends,
I am creating LSMW for uploading data in Infotypes 006, 0021 and 0185.
These Infotypes also includes different subtypes.
1) Address(006)
    Subtypes : 1 (Permanent Address),   2 (Temporary Address) and   4 (Emergency Address)
All the subtypes have same technical field names and same table.
--> So when I upload data in permanent Address, it is taking same address in temporary and emergency address too.
2) Family member Details (0021)
     Subtypes : 12 (Mother) , 11 (Father) and 1 (Spouse)
--> All the subytpes have a field First name. Its technical name and table is also same for all the subtypes.
     So when I upload data for Mother(12), it takes same name for all the other subtypes.
3) Personal IDs
     Subtype : 2 (PAN No.) and   3 (Gratuity)
So I am facing problem in uploading data in subtypes of Infotypes. Please suggest any solution.

In recording of Family Details, it is showing 3 different first names for mother, father and spouse under same technical name (FAVOR).
But in 3rd step: Maintain source field, we can give a field technical name only once.
In 5th step: Field mapping, we can do mapping only once because there is only one technical field against which we can map.
I am facing the same problem for all the fields.

Function for deleting and modifying Infotype 2011 : HR_TMW_DB_UPDATE_TEVENT

we have and requirement where we have to insert/delete or modify specific clock in/out posts from infotype 2011. Looking trough this forum I was not able to find how to delete or modify specific events from SAP correctly.
We are able to insert new record via FM : HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION with ease, but can not use the same function module to either delete or modify the same record.
I was able to find FM: HR_TMW_DB_UPDATE_TEVENT and tried it in combination with HR_TMW_DB_READ_TEVENT, with out any succes.
My question is: in what way must the tables be filled for deletion or modification, for FM HR_TMW_DB_UPDATE_TEVENT to work?
With testing deleting a record, function explicitly demands taht all four tables are set
         del_teven      = t_teven_del
         ins_teven      = t_teven_ind
         del_teven_more = t_teven_more_del
         ins_teven_more = t_teven_more_ins
, but still the record is not deleted form table TEVEN.

Namespaces of Subtypes and Infotypes

Hi ,
I am in an implementation project. While configuring Family Info Type (21) I have to create sub types like Grand Father and Grand Mother.
Client would prefer to have these carry single digit codes unlike the SAP Standard namespace provisions.
I understand it is doable, can someone please indicate what could be the impact of the same. At the time of upgrades would these be replicated as well? What are the trade-off on either side?

For example if Subtype 10 (Standard Spouse) in Family Infotype is SAP Standard, I can change that to Grand Father w/o worry and delete the SAP Standard entry?
Please confirm if there is no problem violating the SAP provided namespace as far as IT Subtypes and Standard values in Object on Loan IT etc are concerned.

Date of origin for subtype of infotype 15

New wage type is created under infotype 15 = Additional Payments for festival advance while adjusting the subtype system is showing Date of origin is 31-08-2012 for Auguest month deduction instead of Date of origin 31-08-2011...
where we have to do the setting so system will show date 31.08.2011 instead of 2012.
I am new for Hr Payroll .Please suggest the same

Hi ,
Go to transaction PA30, select your employee.
Give infotype as 0041 in the infotype input box and press F7. Now check if any date types are defined for the date of origin.
Change it as per you need and save the record.
NOw create IT0015 record and check.

Segment E1PITYP occurs for each subtype of Infotype 1001 in update mode

Hi,
I am using transaction PFAL and IDoc HRMD_A for transferring HR data.
In update mode the resulting IDoc contains segment E1PITYP for each subtyp (for example A002) of Infotype 1001 even if it contains no segments of type E1P1001.
Could somebody explain this and is it possible to avoid this behavior?

Still I am little bit confused and want give an more detailed description of my problem.
If I export an organizational unit in initial mode I have for example 5 segments of type E1PITYP and each of them has a subsegment (for example E1P1001).
Export of the same organizational unit in update mode results in more than 200 segments of type E1PITYP and all of them without subsegment.
This seems to happen for all infotypes (not only 1001 like I thought before).
Now I want to understand why this happens and if it's possible to update an organizational unit without segments of type E1PITYP that don't have a subsegment.
