Delete text after 24 hours

I have a pdf form created in Acrobat XI Pro. I'm looking for a javascript 24 hour countdown timer that will delete text at the end of the 24 hours. The counter will start when a date field has been populated. Any suggestions?

My apologies for not providing more detail.
The idea behind the form is to be a running log for our help desk.  It will be saved at the end of each shift, with the next shift updating the same form for their shift.  For example Form 03-24-14.pdf.  The idea is to have them Save the form and replace the form from the previous shift with their own.  At midnight, Third shift will save the previous days form (Form 03-24-14.pdf) and the create a New form for the next day by doing a File Save As and save the form as Form 03-25-14.pdf.
What I have happening with the System Issues screen shot in my previous post is, Under Status when the Call Taker selects Resolved, the Date and Time field populates with the current Date.  And then what I would like to have happen is, after 24 hours of the Issue being Marked as Resolved, the Date/Time, System, Ticket Number, Issue, and Status fields all get purged/deleted.  If the Issue is Marked as Resolved, then there will be no further action for that particular line of information, so that status will not change at that point.
It is possible that the file will be Closed and then Opened several times during the 24 hour period. The way each shift works is, only one person will maintain it and be responsible for the content.  So having multiple people in it, or trying to access it at any time is low.
I created the form in Adobe Acrobat XI Pro and then Save the form as a  Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools (includes form fill in & save). This is the form that my users will be working from.
Please let me know if more detail is needed, or if it would be helpful to post a copy of my form.
Thank You….

How I find deleted text message with last 4 hours?

Unless you have a backup that contained the deleted messages they are gone

  • Delete texts then cannot send any texts after.

When I delete my text messages (whether it be one text or all) I can't send another text after. My iMessage turns off and cannot be turned back on. So neither iMessages or SMS messages send. I have an iPhone 4 with the iOS 7 update.

    Hi,
    this sounds very odd.
Have you tried to check the mobile network settings (automatic provider search etc...)?
Can you test the BB with another SIM card e.g. from your family or frinds?

  • URGENT-Does Erase all Data and restoring from a previously made backup permanently delete text messages after that backup??

Does restoring from a previously made backup permanently delete text messages after that backup?
I made a Icloud back up two days ago. I have text messaged and sent emails since. I haven't backed up again yet and I was wondering that if I erase my phone and back up to that Icloud Back up made two days ago, the texts and emails I have sent SINCE then will be permanently deleted? AKA they can never be found again by anyone?

That is correct you can only get back data that was backed up.

Hi All - I sent an sms using my iphone 5 - It is PAYG and had no money in it. (stupidly)
It tried to send as an SMS but gave the 'green button reject message'.(no money)
Step 2 in this stupidity - the phone keeps trying to send the deleted text via SMS and wont stop notifying me of this. Totally ruining the functionallity of my phone, and more so totally annoying. All I want to do is stop the constant re-trying of sending the deleted SMS.
    Any ideas?
    Many Thanks!

Hi, many thanks for your help - Pressing and holding sleep/reset hasn't worked, the msg is still continually reporting it is failing to send. I can restore to a previous version however I'll lose my paid apps. Is there any way to work around this. I'm only concerned about one app - Epocam HD which I purchased last month. My last backup on PC is 4 March 13 - before I bought the paid app - Itunes advises me I'll have to re-pay to get my apps (app) back. Even though it advises that icloud backed up this morning at 1:30 am (which although it is before the text, I cannot manually select this restore).
    What a mess!

Sorry didn't know that the first step was just supposed to be "subject".
    So here it is again.

I have no idea what to do and after hours of searching none of what I found helps. I don't know anything about this stuff so please don't answer with "maybe this willl work, or maybe that."  I need a real answer please and I cannot find a way to actually contact Adobe. I also don't have a disk drive on this Mac. Thanks"
Also please feel free to e-mail the answer because I hate looking for these answers online. It takes me forever to find this section. Not that I have even even gotten a real answer.

    Hi Sonia,
While transferring Adobe from laptop to PC the licensing files got corrupt and the right way to use Adobe Applications is to install first as transferring from a different machine can give you problems.
You can try steps from this article if that helps otherwise you have to reinstall and manually delete some files , everything is mentioned.

  • Is there a way to create a user account that "expires", or self deletes itself after a set amount of time?

I am hoping to find a way to create an Admin account for our parent body that can be used for items at home, "adding printers, software, wireless settings, etc...), but have that account either "expire" or self delete itself after say 72 hours?
    Thoughts?
    Jesse

Will they be needing to keep files saved for a while?  I'm guessing no, since you're ok with it auto-deleting after a short while.
You could just use the guest user:  http://support.apple.com/kb/PH11321
But I'm not aware of any way that you could setup an account to expire.

  • How can I delete text messages from my iphone?

    Hello everyone,
How can I delete text messages from my iphone?  I do not want to reset my iphone setting. If it is nesscary to reset my iphone setting, will I lose everything?
    Please let me know,
    Thanks,

Just delete them. Or, do you mean beyond just deleting them? Then, you'd need to wipe the phone - select Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. That's a secure wipe of the iPhone contents, takes several hours (connect to AC power). You'll need to set your phone up from scratch (and erase the old backup(s) from your computer, since your SMS history is part of the backup).

I am using an early 2008 MacBook Pro and am having issues with it deleting text on its own (in word, emails, etc.). As I am typing it all of a sudden starts deleting and I can't stop it. This happened once before and it was due to a buldging battery pressing on the track pad. I checked the battery and it appears to be fine. What can I do?

This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • Deleting text in Mail 5

I've noticed in Mail 5 (Lion) that if I deleted text, sometimes, a whole paragraph will disappear and the text re-arranges itself. Eg. I have a sentence, hard return, a paragraph, hard return, paragraph, etc. I delete the hard return to join 2 paragraphs together and the first sentence will completely disappear.
I insert a signature and copy and paste (matching style) any text into the signature so that I don't get font problems with Outlook, so perhaps it is something to do with signatures and formatting in Lion?

OK, I'm replying to myself here, just for the record.
The issue has been resolved after I upgraded to a recent system update. Not sure what the update number is, but my Mail version now reads 3.4, and my Mac OS version is now 10.6.4.

  • How do I delete text from a textArea?

How do I delete text from a textArea? I basically want the opposite of append(String)... I want something that removes a line from my TextArea. Anyone know?>

If you want to remove only a specific part of the text, you have to get the String, take the parts before and after the removed part, append them back together and use setText to replace it in the textArea.

  • Why can I not use mouse or keyboard to delete text?

I have encountered a strange anomaly.  I have recently installed the update to OSX and iTunes, and now I have been unable to delete text or correct mistakes using the DELETE key on keyboard or the mouse itself.  I can only delete with the pull down menues in Safari or Entourage (my email preference).  Any ideas?

    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.

  • Trouble deleting text messages

Hi!  When I delete old text messages, all my other texts "freeze up" and I don't receive any new texts.  I have to restart my phone.  After the restart, I receive any new texts and all my "deleted" texts are back.  I went to the AT & T store, I was told I had to do something in iTunes, but they were basically no help at all.
Can someone please, please help me!  Thank you!!

    Howdy danired2006,
    Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like there’s an issue with the Messages app on your iPhone which wasn’t resolved by restarting the device. If you haven’t already, try restoring your iPhone with iTunes as shown in the article linked below.

  • How can I read non-deleted text messages from months ago without having to continuously press "Load Earlier Messages"?

I never deleted text messages from a specific person in case I ever wanted to go back and look at them. Now months have gone by and I don't feel like continuously pressing "Load Earlier Messages" for hours trying to get back and look at them. Is there anyway I can upload the whole conversation on to my computer and read the entire conversation from the beginning?

    Yes.
    I use iBackupBot.
