Delete text option when deleting a Conditional Text Style

I now have a document with my first real Conditional Text items. We have many distributors with different product numbers. I am using Conditional Text for the product numbers. Great. But! what if we lose a distributor? Right now, if I delete a Conditional Text condition, I am asked what condition I would like to replace it with. What I would probably like to do is actually delete all of the text assigned to that condition, not just delete the condition. As it is now, if I delete the condition, I still would have to go back and delete the text relating to that condition. Not too handy.

Well, only one way to find out. Yes! You are correct. I would never have thought of that. Thank you.
Now that you mention it, I'm not exactly sure why it seemed obvious to me. The real reason that it works isn't simply that Replace with Format is empty, but rather that both Replace with Format and Change to are empty.
If you Find what: specific text - say letter "a" - whose Find format: is <conditionname> and Change to: letter "b" with Change format: Empty, "a" changes to "b" and the condition stays the same.
If you Find what: specific text - say letter "a" - whose Find format is <conditionname> and Change to: is empty with Change format: <differentconditionname>, or different text color, or <characterstylename>, letter "a" remains the same, and the condition, text color, or character style, is applied.
It takes a while to get used to.

You've never used Excel? You can delete multiple rows or columns with ease.
Yahoo mail gives you an option, by checking a box preceeding the messages, to move or cancel selected (range) messages in mass. I use it daily.
Outlook and Outlook Express both give you the option to cancel a range of messages, highlight the first message, shift key held, highlight the last message, delete.

Delete pricing condition records : vk12

When i mark a record as deleted in vk12, there add a tick in DeletionID column. I was told the record would be deleted after database reorgnization.
I want to ask, when will DB reorgnize? Would the deleted records be active before DB reorginze?
Can anybody help me?

In v/06 for your condition type check the field delete from DB
If you set this field as A or B,then only you will be able to delete the condition record permanently via VK12.Otherwise you can only set deletion indicator. after u set the indicator in v/06, then goto
vk12 and set the record as delete.so the first one controls the actions in vk12.
condition record can be deleted in two ways
1.physical deletion
2.marked for deletion.
The customizing can be done at the condition type maintainance in V/06,
u have three options
1.physical deletion with pop up
2.physical deletion without pop-up
3.mark for deletion.
select an option there and in condition record in VK12, select the record and
and delete with the deletion indicator.
SAP recommends physical deletion

Deleting pricing conditions using FM /AFS/VBAK_SALESDOCUMENT_CHANGE

Hi all,
following the instructions in oss note 593246 I have succesfully implemented code to delete a discount condition from a sales order using FM /AFS/VBAK_SALESDOCUMENT_CHANGE. But now I also want to delete a condition from a sales order position which has an item which has the AFS 'price by size' characteristic (an item with a shirt for example, with 10 pieces, which are divided in 3 smalls, 4 mediums and 3 large).
Using the same code that was succesful earlier, it deletes the discount condition, but also all standard pricing conditions, making the pricing in the order invalid obviously.
Has anyone else had this problem? And more importantly: has anyone found a way to do this succesfully?

update:
setting the condition to value zero is possible I found... so at least I have that option. But deleting would be the tidy solution, so any help is still aprreciated.
If there is anyone also struggleing with this AFS module and pricing, I can share the code I am using to update to zero or delete (when the material is not price by size-ed.

Deletion of condition table

Hi Guys,
I created condition table, access sequence by using condition table ,created condtion type and used condition type in pricing procedure. later becasue of some reason I need to remove the condition table. Hence, from the end I removed condition type in procedure, access sequence from condition type and table from access sequence.
When I try to delete the condition table I am getting below error message
"Message no. TK112
Diagnosis
The objects R3TR VKOI A803 und R3TR VKOS A803 cannot be edited together because the 1st object's original is in this system, whereas the 2nd object's original resides in another system.
System Response
The function is cancelled.
Procedure
Edit the two objects separately."
Does any one help the reason behind the this error message and let me know how to delete the condition table.

Firstly I would recommend not deleting the condition table. Let sleeping lions lie, may be change its name to "Don't use" to avoid any unintended misuse. If you have removed it from access config, you should be fine. May be you are trying to remove even the traces of that config.
This issue is in the Change Request (Transport) Management area and ideally you should work with Basis guys.
That said, check out this OSS note which is basically a Z-code to make the entries in TADIR to be same for VKOS and VKOI type of objects. There could be other related OSS notes contained within this, so check them out also.

BDC : creating Billing frm Dr/Cr Memo - Problem in deletion of conditions

Dear Gurus,
I am facing a problem when I try to develop a BDC for creating a Billing document from a Debit/Credit Memo Sales Order.
The requirement is to delete some condition when creating billing from debit note for Depot plant.
The problem I am facing is in time of deleting the condition , as I am not able to move the lines of table control in Pricing tab up or down.
the ok_code = /00 is not working and I have tried all p+,p- for that.
My logic is to bring the CONDITION that should be deleted at top position of the table control. but as I am not able to move the scroll bar , I got stuck there.
So any solution of that available or any alternative is available for the requirement ???

V1 498 - Credit already exist for item...
What the above message means is that lines items have already been used as reference for the creation of credit memo request(s).
Create a new sales order, delivery and billing document. Then create credit memo request with reference to this new billing document and test.
In VTAF copy control, at item level, field "Pos./neg. quantity" dictates how the quantity in the source document is affected by copy control.
PS - I tried to create credit memo with reference to billing document (F2), there were no issues there. Therefore I am taking that the issue is with credit memo request (copied with ref to billing document F2)

Mass delete of condition records

Hi All,
Please advise if there is a mass delete function of condition records. I have uploaded prices for customer/material conbination for the month of novemver and i want to delete them all. I can do it one by one but it will take tooooo long. Also please advise that if a record is marked for delete indicator, then can it be used again ? or can i reomve it completely becasue i want to upload again with correct prices.

There is no such Transaction available to delete those like in MASS.
Best thing is to use a LSMW with VK12 transaction.

Yes, You can.
Once marked for deletion they won't appear in the sales order automatically. Pricing Analysis will show you like this.
"Condition record has been deleted"
If you want to use it again go to VK12, and go in to your condition record.
Highlight the condition line item and press "Details" button (Magnifying Glass)
Un-tick the "Deletion lndicator" check box.
Save.
Then you can use it again as normal way.

Yes, You can.
You can remove it completely from the data base. First you have to configuret your condition type in IMG to enable that function..
Go to V/06
Select you condition record & go in to details.
There you get a filed called "delete fr. DB" under "Master data" section.
Change it to "A with popup" or "B without popup".
Which means your going to delete it from the data base. (Where as you cannot use it again, like you do in Deletion indicator)
Save
Then come to VK12,
Go in to your condition record.
Highlight the condition line item and press Delete button from lower area.
If you set "A with pop up" in the condition record, you'll get a pop up saying,
"The condition type XXXX is set so that when the deletion indicator is set, the condition record can be physically deleted from the database.Do you want to delete the condition record physically?"
Once save system will delete it from the data base.
If you set "B without pop up", system will delete it without a pop up.

i want to delete a condition record using VK12, am selecting the row and pressing the icon 'Delete Row' but its not working out, and the row still remains the same(the condition record not getting deleted). More over, the 'Deletion ID' is selected in the condition record.
how do i delete the condition record in this case. this is very urgent. plz send the replies ASAP.

Dear Kumar,
There are two possible procedures for deleting conditions. There is either immediate deletion or a deletion flag for archiving at a later date. You enter the type of deletion that should be proposed during condition maintenance into Customizing for a condition type, . When deleting immediately, a dialog box can be created which indicates immediate deletion but offers a deletion flag as an
alternative.
<b>Deletion Flag</b>
You can mark condition records for deletion. These are then no longer taken into consideration during automatic pricing. However they remain as condition records in the system until the next archiving update. This means you can reset a deletion and reactivate a condition record.
<b>Physical Deletion</b>
If you use physical deletion, the condition record disappears immediately. It is no longer available during condition record maintenance or pricing. This deletion cannot be reset once it has been carried out. You have to recreate the condition record if you need it again. To be more exact, the reference to the condition record for pricing and condition record maintenance is deleted completely with physical deletion. The actual condition record must be kept for old documents.
Recommendation:
SAP recommends the physical deletion procedure. The deletion flag improves upwards compatibility in the system.
A pricing error can occur when using hierarchical accesses in combination with the deletion indicator (See the hierarchical access documentation in the SAP library).
The deletion flag used to be used as a replacement for a missing release procedure. This is no longer necessary, as there is now a separate release procedure available (see the release procedure in the SAP library).
Physical deletion can be included using the change documents for example deletions in a specific period (Report RV16ACHD).
