Delete the appended structure of an Extract Structure

Hi All,
I have appended the extract structure of vendor text with additional fields. Now i would like to delete my appended structure along with the fields of my appended structure but i am unable to find the option to delete this. Kindly guide me how to go about it?

Hi,
Goto SE11 -> Put append structure name ..should be ZA* .. and select delete option , This will delete append structrure ref. from extract structure.

Can I Add all the fields from POOL to EXTRACT Structure in LBWE

Dear Experts,
Our Client is asking to add all the fields in the POOL Table to EXTRACT STRUCTURE in LBWE that is he wants to add all the fields from Right Hand Side Table to Left Hand Side Table in the Maintenance of LBWE of all the SD Data Sources. For few fields there is no data even though they are saying that in the nearer future we are going to use all most all fields.
Like wise they are asking to add all the tables like VBAP, VBUP, VBAK, VBKD, VBUK, etc.,
My Questions are:
1.Is it advisable or recommended to add all the fields from POOL to Extract Structure because client desperately needs them.
2.Is there any performance issue when we add the fields from POOL to Extract Structure at the time of extracting data from R/3 to BI.

we can add all the fields from the POOL to Extract Structure, if really your business requires to pull all the data.
2.2.Is there any performance issue when we add the fields from POOL to Extract Structure at the time of extracting data from R/3 to BI.
Ofcourse, there will be performance matters, because we have to extract maximum number fields data to BI side. If we have data for all the fields in R/3, we may face performance problems like load takes long time.

How to delete the "Appended" custom structure in VBAK?

I have appended a :
structure ZZLAND1
Component: ZZLAND1 (Domain: LAND1).
Now I want to delete the structure that I just appended, so I did:
1. SE11 -> VBAK -> Append Structure Button -> Select ZZLAND1 --> Delete
2. To further ensure that the table is adjusted, I also executed SE14 -> Adjust table
but I have an anonymous error in the DataBaseLog:
Table VBAK could not be activated
(E- Table VBAK (Error adjusting the database) ) [See here the details of dataBase error log|http://www.megaupload.com/?d=TZP3PV9J]
so I did another option,
1. SE11 -> Data Type -> ZZLAND1 --> Delete
2. Execute SE14 again,
And still have the same error.
This thread is close relevant to [Add new field in VBAK|Runtime Error in SE16 after adding fields in VBAK (ABAP-SD);. Now I want to revert back my changes but I cannot now.
Anyone, please enlighten?

Solution: "I used other laptop" to modify VBAK.
1. SE14
2. SE11>VBAK>Append Structure..
3. Select the structure > Delete
Weird: in my laptop it is always not refreshing.

How to delete the Append Structure in VBAK Table.

I wrongly appended the structure to the standard VBAK table. Because of this SAP Kernel is get damaged.
So, i cannot able to acces my datasource in R/3 side.
can anyone help me to resolve this problem

Append Structure to MCCOMP but not appear in Extract Structure (LBWE)

Dear Experts,
We are using the datasource 2LIS_04_P_COMP
1) We append a field into MCCOMP and MCCOMPB, but that field doesn't appear in the pool of communication structure fields. Therefore, we cannot move from the pool (right side) to extract structure (left side)
2) We need to add a field into MCCOMP, as we need to capture Delta for this field. Is there any user exit that can populate value for this structure?

Follow the steps.
1. Delete Setup tables in LBWG.
2. Clear Q in SMQ1/LBWQ.
3. Delete Q in RSA7.
Then fine the ECC correct client for Customizing and there you can do the changes and activate it. If still it is not allowing and you want to add fields by using enhancements then goto SE11, and give MCCOMP and Append Structure and add fiels and write code in CMOD.

Delete customs append structure issue

Hi Gurus,
I added a customs append structure with a 'YY' field in one of LO extractr structures.
Now I don't need that field, I need to delete that customs append structure and field from the extract structure. I deleted that 'YY' field but I don't how to delete customs append structure which one I created.
Please advice ?

Hi Punzu,
You need not delete the appended structure, rather just check the "Hide field" column against the field in your datasource(RSA5 or RSA6 in R/3).
This excludes the field in the extraction structure from the data transfer . The field is then no longer available in BW for determining transfer rules and therefore cannot be used for generating transfer structures.
So this accomplishes the task which your are looking for in a wise manner, because if in the future when u require the same field in ur transfer structure u can just uncheck the "Hide field" option and use it.

I want to change an extract-structure in an existing datasource (0COORDER_TEXT), but I don't know how to do.
(I first thought I can do it with trx RSA6.)
Can anybody give me a hint how to change the extract-structure?

Hi,
yes, you can change an extract-structure in an existing datasource . The enhancemet of DataSource is the process of enhancing your extract structures by creating an append with your ZZ/YY fields and filling these fields using a specific user exits. Then you have to fill those fields with some ABAP custom code that can be anything from some simple calculations or table lookups to complex business logic requiring access to multiple database tables. You can do that by CMOD, creating a project and using the enhancement:RSAP0001.
You have to follow bellow steps:
1. Go to RSA6.
2. Select the Data Source.
3. Select display Data Source (Ctr+F2).
4. Double click on the Extract structure.
5. Click on the Append Structure.
6. Add the required field .
7. Activate the Append Structure.
8. Go to CMOD.Give the Project, select Display.
9. Click on ZXRSAU01.
10.you have the bellow exits:
    a).Transaction data: EXIT_SAPLRSAP_001
    b).Master data attributes: EXIT_SAPLRSAP_002
    c).Master data texts: EXIT_SAPLRSAP_003
    d).Master data hierarchies: EXIT_SAPLRSAP_004
11. select Transaction Data EXIT,then you have to write the ABAP CODE
12. save and activate.
13. check the data in RSA3.
These steps will help you.

Can I enhance extract structure with standard field?

Friends,
Can I enhance the extract structure with standard field.
Eg. If I want add(append) field PACKNO to Extraction structure MCVGIH. PACKNO is a field from standard table. So Can I do this and populate this without using abap code(customer exit) Should I give foreign key field also in the append stucture.

Hi Joe,
mostly it works as A.H.P explained, because in the extractor they mostly do a move-corresponding of the fields. Sometimes they don't, specially for newer applications and extractors because the abap statement move-corresponding is on the list of obsolete statements. In that case you need to do some coding.
So basically I would recommend to add the field, regenerate the datasource and check the result with rsa3.

Just remove the append search help name from the standard search help. Then goto se11 and give the append search help name in the search help option in se11. Then delete the same using the delete buttion from the applicaion tool bar.
Hope, you did in the same way but you forgot to remove it from the standard seach help.

Donu00B4t see the fields after to change the append structure

Hi experts,
My problem is the following. I enhanced a Extraction Structure, I activated the append structure, and I assigned the Infosource to the datasource and it was ok. Then, I had to do some changes to the append structure, I again activated it, replicate the datasource, but I don´t see the changes. When I replicated the datasource for first time I saw the fields of the append structure, even I did the transfer rules. Then, when I did the changes I could not see more the new changes, but I can see the fields that they have not been changed.
The changes were:
- I changed the name of the one field because it was longer of 16 car. (before ZZ_CLASSIFICATION, after ZZ_CLASSIFCAT).
- I added two fields more.
I am not sure How works the RSA3 transaction. On it I entered the datasource name and I pressed the "Strat Extraction" and the system show to me a message "1558 register selected", then I pressed "Display List" but I can´t see the changes
Do you have any idea about what happen?

Hi Leonel,
Usually, when I try to enhance my DS, I delete DS-IS assignment. Then do what you've done already. If you don't delete the assignment first, then often the old info remains.
So, delete this assignment and repeat all steps again.

Error while enhancing the Extract structure in LBWE

Hi All,
When I am trying to change the extract structure os logistic extractors in LBWE, it is giving me an error saying "Entries for application 11 still exist in the extraction queue".
Below is my scenario:
I have 3 clients in the same R/3 system, Client 010, 020 and 030.
Clients 020 and 030 are connected to my BW system. Client 010 will be used for all development while test loads can be done from clients either 020 or 030. Till now, I have tested my data flows only from client 030. Now, I have to add some extra field to the structure in LBWE but facing the above mentioned error.
I went into LBWQ in both the client 020 and 030 and deleted the queue and then tried to change the extract structure in client 010 but still the same error.
What else do I need to do to resolve this?

Hi Raki,
We are still in development phase. I did all my developments(R/3) in client 010. Till now I did only full loads to BW from client 030 and haven't done any loads from client 020. My BW system is also connected to another sandbox client 100 but I haven't done any loads from that client aswell.
As I have to add some extra fields to the extractor from LBWE, I did the follwing steps in R/3:
1) I have deleted the setup tables from client 010, 020 and 030.
2) Deleted the data from LBWQ from clients 010, 020 and 030.
3) Trying to change the extract structure by clicking on "Maintenance" for the extractor in Client 010.
At this point it is throwing an error.
I thought that the client 100 might be a problem as I have transfer rules created in my BW system from this source system as well. As I do not need this source system anymore, I have deleted it from BW and tried changing the structure in LBWE but still the same problem.
Any ideas would be highly appreciated.

Problem in Add/Delete fields in Extract Structure.

When I want to delete some fields from the extract structure it gives me " " error.
Steps:
1. In R/3, T-Code LBWE -> Browse till DS ( ex: 2LIS_02_ITM)
2. Inactive the DS by clicking on 'Active' under Update column
3. Click on 'Maintenance' link under Structure column.
4. Remove a field MCEKKO-KUNNR from left side to right side of the window.
5. Click on continue button.
It gives the below error while generating the extract structure.
"MC03BF0" must be a flat structure. You can not use internal tables, strings,references, or structures as components.-
Plz help how to handle this error ? The same error msg is displayed if I want to add few fields to the structure.
