Delete the records in ODS when there is deletion of record in Source system

Hi,
Actually i am pulling table thru DBConnect and loading the Data into ODS as Full Load.
Because the volume of Records are huge we need to go for Delta enabled.
But the problem i have is that in source system daily they are deleting some records.
Pls guide me.

FYI: I think the pad lock you see in the tab doesn't mean your tab is locked. It means the site you are visiting is using HTTPS (a more secure portocol)... as in Safari is telling you that internet connection to the site you are visiting is safe

Different number of data records in source system and BI system

Hi all,
I have been using datasources 0HR_PA_0 and 0HR_PA_1.
When I run and check the records in source system via RSA3 there are 4893 and 360 records respectively.
When I extract the records into my 0PA_C01 cube, however, 3058 and 249 records are coming respectively.
Furthermore, when I create a personnel record in source system, it is not extracted into BI cube.
What may be the reason?
I am looking forward to your suggestions.

I've created many new personnel records in source system and these records are displayed in the list of RSA3.
However, these newly created records are not reflected in BI cube when I extract data via the specified datasources.
I've checked whether there are some filters defined, however no filter seems to exist.
By the way, I am using full upload; no delta!

Can't stop the dock icon bouncing when there is an "alert" from Thunderbird

I posted this question on the MozillaZine forum, but no-one there answered so I thought I'd try here.
I'm using Thunderbird 2.0.0.14 for my email. Is there a way to stop the dock icon bouncing when there is an "alert"? These happen relatively frequently in connection with my Yahoo account, and every time the icon bounces until I go to Thunderbird and click "ok" on the alert box. This is slowly driving me nuts. I have disabled the "animate dock icon" setting for new mail, and for my whole system when programs start or open, but it hasn't had any effect on the behaviour of the icon with regards to alerts.

Hey, no problem, really... we're here trying to help & just need to find out what is needed to help!
You really should right click on the whole Thubderbird folder and Archive it first, so we can go back if need be.
Then, it appears that if you just recreate the account, with the name, email, server, and smtp, then everything comes back for that account... at least for global accounts.
If you wish to hold off on this then just move the original .js back and start T-Bird again, then I can search for a way to edit the existing .js file, because for some reason, when you change your prefs back, it's not changing that file like it should.

Minimize the count of cubes when there are more number of cubes

Hi All:
Need your inputs on reducing the count of cubes when there are more number of cubes in any project.
On which basis we can downsize the count of cubes? For example,if there 30 cubes in same region,I want to reduce them to ,say 20 cubes.

You need to evaluate all of your existing cubes and see if there is any overlap in dimensionality that would allow you to combine cubes. Such as if one is actuals and another cube is budget for the same data, possibly you can combine those. Or as someone else suggested based on Business Units (If the other dimensions allow it. Perhaps conflicting Account or other structures won't allow it. )
However you have to then balance combining cubes against larger cube size which could impact calc time and other performance issues.
Its all a balancing act.
Look at where it makes sense to combine them. Only you know your environment enough to state if they can be combined or not.

Most of the time it's when there's an auto update of anything addon, plugin or ff but not just neccessarily then! I find out it's happened when there's been an update after i restart and an extra webpage comes up with the particular addon/plugin/ff update. I have to restart most of time because nothing sorts it out. I'm using windows xp with the latest update of ff 13.0.1 it's not this version because it's been happening for a while. And it never started when i added a particular addon or plugin or when i added a new app to my pc either. Any idea as to what this may be or how i'd sort it out?

I simply never use it - but then again I haven't used the Dock for anything either sice slighty before the stone age. Many years ago I discovered LaunchBar ( http://www.obdev.at/products/launchbar/index.html ) which does all my launching and a whole lot more too, for app switching I use Liteswitch X ( http://www.proteron.com/ ) which adds more bang to the Command-tab switcher, including Force Quit and along with Default Folder ( http://stclairsoft.com/DefaultFolderX/ ) they are literally the first things I install on a new Mac.
But they are not for everybody. I drive by keyboard, some folks are happier using the mouse. Choice is the point.

Did you get the flash drive from a reliable source. There are some available on the net that show a large capacity but are only 512 mb. or 1 gb. drives that have been altered to display a much larger capacity.

automatic garbage collectorI don't recognize that particular method but some classes have a so called explicit termination method. Usually classes which allocate OS resources have such a method. It has to be called before the object is released for GC so the OS resourses can be returned properly.

Can the Adobe PDF plugin carry exact phrase search criteria through from source system into Reader?

In SharePoint 2013 if you search for an exact phrase and then view a PDF that is returned by the search (in Reader via the PDF plugin) then the Reader will treat the complete phrase as individual words.
For example, search for "High Court" in SharePoint, get returned a set of PDF documents, and when you view one of them through the Reader the hit highlighting will be for each instance of "High" or "Court".
What is wanted is hit highlighting only of instances of "High Court".
I get the same behavior if the Adobe PDF plugin is installed with the Filesite DMS. So it seems to be standard behavior for the Adobe PDF plugin

How to stop the posting of documents when there is an error in record

Hi,
I have one issue with respect to posting of documents.
In my Exl sheet there are 1900 records which would split into 950 records during run time.
For each 950 records a document to be created. Here the issue, during test run thers is no error where all the validations are done and records in xl sheet are correct.
However when posting, i am submitting to to standard program rfbibl01, where it is creating the session and output of the program is not showing any errors - report.
During execution of session, it is creating document for 1 set of 950 records and for 2 set it is finding some error and not creating any document.
Now my requirment is as follows: since there is an error in second set, i don't want to post any record starting from the begining. No document should be created.
In my program once i have submitted to standard document i don't have any control over the progam in stopping the creation of session or document creation.
Any solutions are most welcome.

Does the adapter use power when there's no phone connected?

Hi all,
I was wondering: Does the Apple poweradapter consume electricity, when there's no iPhone (or iPad etc.) connected to it?
I leave my adapters and cables in a poweroutlet all the time, which I can turn off but I was just curious about this. I read different things all over the internet, so I thought it would be best to ask my question here.
I have the original Apple 10W adapters, with the lightning usb cable, iPhone 5 and iPad 4. I live in The Netherlands by the way, if that makes any difference.

Wall adapters do use a very small amount ... but it is miniscule, and not worth considering. Though I suppose there would be an unacceptable loss in 'green' eyes if there were 10,000 of them connected.

White shadow on and iPod touch screen almost resembles the same look as when there is pressure on the screen

iPod has a white shadow on the screen. It isn't cracked. It kind of looks like an X-ray. Only black with a white glare, no color. Almost resembles when there has been pressure to the screen and and it turns white. The left side is responsive to touch, but if you scroll it is slow to catch up to the right. Not the white screen of death because you can read it by tilting it at diff angles. Have tried to restore & the invert color option. Also, I took a screen shot and thru iCloud looked at it on my iPad, the picture is perfect and doesn't have the white glare. I have searched for hours and can't even find anyone who has ever had this problem.

What can cause "Would you like to update the saved password?" When there is no password saved?

Lately, I am seeing this prompt for "Would you like to update the saved password?" when I log into password protected sites, where there is actually no saved password. Like the Bank of America site, I don't want the browser to save the password. What would cause this? I can just envision me clicking YES to update the saved password, then I have just somehow sent my password to hackers. Is this a known issue, or am i looking at a possible security breach here?

Firefox shows this notification if you use the Password Manager to fill the name and password and you change/modify the password that was previously saved. This can also happen if there is a script running that modifies the password field.
You may disable the remember password incase it's needed by doing the foll:
Tools-> Options -> Security -> Uncheck remember passwords for site.

Within this EXP, define a variable port "v_rownum" of type BigInt with this expression: v_rownum + 1Then define an output port ROWNUM of type BigInt and set it to this expression: v_rownumForward all the data from the SQ plus "ROWNUM" from the EXP into a Filter.Define two mapping parameters $$FIRST_ROW and $$LAST_ROW of type BigInt (if possible, I can't try myself at this moment).Set the Filter expression like this: ROWNUM >= $$FIRST_ROW AND ROWNUM <= $$LAST_ROW This works for all sorts of source systems. How can I restrict the number of Data records from R3 source system that are being loaded into BI. For example I have 1000 source data records, but only wish to transfer the first 100. How can I achieve this? Is there some option in the DataSource definition or InfoPackage definition?

Hi SD,
You can surely restrict the number of records, best and simplest way is, check which characteristics are present in selection screen of InfoPackage and check in R3, which characteristics if given a secection could fetch you the desired number of records. Use it as selection in InfoPackage.
