 Delete/uninstall AppZapper? 

How can you delete/uninstall AppZapper itself?

Very tiny files like preferences and such, just in case you reinstall the program.
If you truly want to remove all traces, you have to consult the developers site what is installed where and how to remove or do a complete wipe and reinstall of the operating system/reverse clone if your paranoid.
Most responsible honest developers provide a unistaller or rely upon the simple drag/drop/trash method, are comfortable in the fact that people don't want to use their program anymore and wish to remove it.
There is no way a third party "app zapping" programs can keep up with all the of changes developers make with all their tens of thousands of programs. Some zappers have resorted to using "searching" which lists all what the app zapper program THINKS is a associated program file. Some people have flagged the wrong files by accident and deleted them with strange issues to occur later.
Deal directly with the developer about how to remove their program, as they can make changes anytime.
If you don't trust the developer then reverse clone. If you don't know how to make a optional bootable clone with Carbon Copy Cloner or Superduper on a external blank HFS formatted drive, then find out. It's the ONLY sure way to make sure any unwanted code is off your machine.
Your question of "How to delete/remove AppZapper" raises a interesting point, how come they didn't include a uninstaller for their own program?
Smells like scambait, just like MacKeeper. They get on your machine and don't provide a way to remove it, any program like that needs to be treated with suspect as they are up to no good right away.

Do I need to delete/uninstall my old CS2 version of Photoshop on my iMac before I install (via disc) my new CS6 Extended Photoshop?

no. but if you do plan to uninstall and want to use it on some other computer, it's a good idea to deactivate (help>deactivate) it first.

  • How do you delete/uninstall Dropbox from Os 10.6.4

I have a brand new Imac with Os 10.6.7 and cannot figure out how to delete/uninstall Dropbox!  I could kill myself for downloading this horrid program. Thanks for your help.

    Hi again:
To delete the program, just locate it in your system and drag it to the trash.  If that does not get everything, do the following:
To do a "find," close everything.  Then go to the menu bar and click on file.  A drop down menu will appear.  Click on "find." Select system files from where it says "kind."  Then select "include" from the next box.  Then type dropbox into the search field.
This should get you every instance of the program.  At that point, you can delete the ones you wish.  Be careful, the search will probably locate many things that are not associated with the program you mentioned.
I sometimes assume things (bad on my part).

  • How can i delete uninstalled iOS apps?

How can i delete uninstalled iOS apps in iTunes11 & iphone? Its taking up my iPhone's space as i kept trying on new apps but uninstalled them after trying. The uninstalled apps still appear in my iTunes "Apps" though. I deleted all the apps in Mobile Application folder in Mac because i couldnt delete any in iTunes & iPhone but its not working(still in my iTunes "Apps"). I wanna get rid of them from my iTunes & iPhone.... so that i can save space... HOW?

Mark the names that you see in the apps man.. They should be like a000c1b.sis etc.
Connect the phone to your PC as USB mass storage device.
Open the drive in your PC.
In search option, write down the name, the files will appear, delete em.
Or, you can use 3rd party File explorer like explore to delete em.

  • How do I delete uninstalled Apps from the iPhone app list that is shown inside iTunes on my PC after sychronizaton?

To clarify and to not receive the answers of those who doesn't read more than 2 lines of a post: I am not asking how can I delete backups to free space in iCloud nor how to hide the purchase history!!! those things I already know...
to be clearer please let me explain what I mean by "list inside the iTunes of my PC". To access the list to which I am reffering you must take this steps:
    1) Connect the iPhone to the PC. This should open iTunes if not already opened and activate the synchronization between iPhone and PC.
    2) After syncronization and eventual backup in the iTunes window on the top right side it appears the tab "iPhone".
    3) Click said tab "iPhone" to see its content. In the top bar you can see 9 tabs: "Summary", "Info", "Apps", "Music", "Movies", "TV Shows", "Books", "Photos" and "On This iPhone".
    4) Click the 3rd tab, the one named "Apps", in this window on the left side you have the full list of the apps and on the right side you can see how these apps are arranged inside the device (inside home screens and folders).
I am referring to this particular list, the one on the left side of this page. See, I ricently run out of space in my iCloud so I decided tidy things up. I deleted all of the old backups both form iCloud and from PC and I hid all of the Apps that I no longer use from my purchase history.
now, the point is, every time I go to this particular list I can still find all of the apps, even those uninstalled from the device and removed from the purchase history...
In this list the apps that are still installed on my divece have got the "remove" button at its side and those which are not have got the "install" button... my point is that I went to great lengths to clean everything and still I can't seem to find a way to remove unwanted apps from this particular list...
I do suspect that it is because I have to restore some registry inside the iPhone itself... The point is that I don't want these apps to appear on this list anymore but I don't know how to clear it... Any help? Have I been clear?
    thanks

That list includes all the apps that you installed to your device directly from iTunes on the computer, or which were purchased on the iOS device and subsequently transferred to iTunes on the computer.
If you right click on any item in that list and choose "Show in Windows Explorer" it will open your iTunes application installer directory on your computer, which should be:
    C:\Users\User\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Mobile Applications
In there are all your saved application installers (*.ipa files).  You need to delete those actual installer bundles and then make sure to NOT allow the "transfer purchased content" when you sync or backup in iTunes (as that will just put them back on your hard drive).
One caveat to removing those, is that if you ever wish to keep a specific release of a particular app, and the developer replaces the iTunes/App store version with something else, your sole source for your older version will be your own stored copy of it.  So for example, when PDF expert released their iOS 7 update, and charged everyone full price for it, if you wished to keep using the previous version on your own devices, then you needed to keep a copy of the installer on your own computer as that older version is no longer available in the store front.

  • Can I now delete/uninstall Logic Pro 9 safely now that I have Logic Pro X?

Is it ok to delete the application Logic Pro 9 now that X is installed without affecting anything?

There shouldn't be any problems when uninstalling Logic 9, but in my opinion this is not necessary. Logic 9 does not claim that much space on your HD and it will coexist rather unnoticed along LPX. You'll gain availability of a 2nd DAW wherein you still can run 32 bit plugins, work on old projects incase LPX has trouble translating them and you'll have functionality available which has been left out in LPX. My advice would be to leave it where it is.
    Have a nice day!

  • I want to delete/uninstall an older version to bring up the newest version. How do I do this?

What more details do you need? I want to uninstall an older version of Firefox and install 4.0X. But cannot seem to be able to get rid of 3.04

OK, here I am replying to myself but perhaps others may gain from this solution. Remember, this original post was "how to stop Adobe preventing me from installing an older version and forcing me to take the latest version...". I just wanted to re-install an older version to prevent big CPU usage and stuttering video. Well, this is what fixed it for me an allowed me to install Adobe Flash V9...
Assuming you have properly uninstalled Adobe Flash Player v10.n, you need to remove a folder and files from your registry. If you are unhappy to do this, then ask an expert - the registry is not somewhere you want to get lost in. I am also assuming you have the correct system permissions, Anway this is what I did:
    1. Go to start button and find (and run) REGEDIT.EXE
    2. Rather than give you a specific path to follow, it is best to simply use REGEDIT to find the folder by clicking "Edit" then "Find".
    3. You are looking for a folder called "SafeVersions".
    4. When you find it, it may show a number of safe versions (previous loads of the player).
    5. From the left window pane, right click on the aforementioned folder then click "Delete"
    6. Respond to any prompts you might get, like, "do you want to do this..." etc.
    7. Close down all applications in the normal manner and reboot.
    8. When restarted, go back on line and download the V9 (or whatever version you want). You'll know its a good 'un as it loads in a fraction of the time.
    9. Go back to your web page or whatever and, hey presto, everything is back to what it was before that hungry V10.n was uploaded.
Hope that helps, it might be nice if the Adobe uninstaller deleted this registry entry, but it doesn't - or at least in Win7 on my PC, it didn't.
Let me know it the above works for you.
    Thanks and good luck

As far as I'm aware unless corrected you cannot delete this history.

  • Deleting "uninstall" program

I was looking for a photoshop that I can use on mac.
So I downloaded "Adobe Photoshop CS6 trial version" from CNET.
After couple days, I decided I dont need trial version because I found free photoshop program called gimp.
I opened up "app cleaner" application and deleted "CS6"
Now I have "CS6 uninstall" program just sitting there. I have tried dragging it to the trash can but it does not work.
How can I delete this "uninstall" program?

I think I finally figured it out....
I had to use Finder, search for python, then delete it that way...
Next question: How do I delete this post so I don't look like an idiot?

  • Deleting/Uninstalling Older Versions of Adobe Photoshop/Reader

I would love to know the answer to this question:
After Adobe updates my current versions of Adobe Photoshop Starter, and my Adobe Reader, can I go to add/remove, or search files, and uninstall or delete everything that has to do with the older versions that I no longer use?
Recently my Adobe Reader updated to version 7. My computer came with Adobe Reader 4.0. So, that means I have versions 4, 5, and 6 (Adobe Reader), in my system, on my hard drive, and in add/remove programs.
Also, just yesterday, my Adobe Photoshop starter edition offered me an upgrade from version 2, to version 3. In this case, although the icon for version 2 remained on my desktop, a new icon for version 3 was created, and when I try to open the v. 2, windows cannot locate it..meaning of course it has been superceded by version 3.
So the simple question is this....do these Adobe versions share drivers? Can I uninstall or delete from add/remove programs, anything that has to do with the older versions of either of these programs? Especially the Adobe Reader stuff. I have an Icon on my desktop for each of these older versions, and if I open those icons its the older version that actually come up.
So, any advice? Leave well enough alone? Remove the older verisons to take back some of my hard drive space?
    Help!
    Thanks,
    Russell Munson

    thanks jim.
i appreciate the direct answer to my question.
my adobe reader update came directly from the older version of the adobe
    reader.
in other words, i opened adobe 6.0 one day, and it either told me
automatically or i checked for a newer update, and it updated to 7.0.
but, when this update occured, it removed, or automtically uninstalled the
6.0 version from my add remove files.
and yet, the 5.0 and the 4.0 version are still in there.
so lets say i go ahead and uninstall both of those two older versions from
my add remove programs and leave the 7.0 version in there. and then i
have trouble with the newest version.
where would i go to re-download the 7.0 adobe reader? adobe.com i assume?
i appreciate your help my freind.
    thank you
