Delete unsent message from Outbox

HELP! I sent an email that I didn't mean to send- and it CANNOT go, or I will ruin a surprise engagement party! It was a forward out of one acct, but I turned off my phone- tried to delete & it's stuck in the outbox. Every time I Edit to Delete or Open to trash, it comes back! It still has not sent, and I get an error msg that says it cannot send mail cos it cannot connect to server... but I am still receiving mail.
PLEASE HELP!

hi, have you tried pressing and holding the email for a few seconds? that might bring up a menu where you can choose to delete it. also, you might want to check your data usage. the phone has probably been using data trying to send that email over and over again. hope that helps

go to messages-settings-text messages
now in message centers delete all the centers except the one you are using (you can tell wich one you're using by takeing a peek at 'message center in use"
rename the message center to something else than previous -
go to "message center in use" make sure it's selected
restart phone

I have needed to update my Iphone 5s from the past 2 updates but it says that I have 4.2 GB of saved messages. I don't know where to go to delete them. I delete regular messages from my phone daily so I'm not sure what is being saved and where.

You would need to set up your mail account as a POP account instead of IMAP.

I'm trying to delete voicemail messages from iphone 5s. Based on visiting previous discussions on this subject, I've tried "resetting network settings" and "turning airport mode ON, deleting messages, then turning airport mode OFF" -- to no avail. I'm receiving an alert that I've reached capacity...please assist. I run my business on my iPhone and right now I'm missing opportunities.

Can't delete email messages from some folders in Mail

I CAN delete email messages from header Folder "MAILBOXES" (drafts, sent, trash); however, there's another folder header below called "ON MY MAC", where I save various emails by dragging them to a subfolder, and when I try to delete these, I get this message:
"The message '(subject of email)' could not be moved to the mailbox 'Deleted Messages --- On My Mac' The destination mailbox 'Deleted Messages --- On My Mac' does not allow messages to be moved to it."
The only way to delete from this folder is to hold Control, select from the dropdown Move to, then Trash, and then one of three sub-trash folders (the one that has my email address) -- this is a pain to do.
Mail is just not working properly any more (I just added 2 other posts - one about crashing, another about all my Fonts missing)

Have you checked Mail>Window>Previous Recipients for the old address? If not, attempt to "Remove From List" at that location and let us know what happens.

Hi Pierrot10,
Insert your backup disc (or plug your external hd), then open Mail.
In the File menu, click *Import Mailboxes* and follow the steps for a *Mail for Mac OS X* transfer.
Navigate to your CD/DVD's or external HD's backup and hit "OK".
This should create a new "Imported" folder in Mail with all your old messages in it, that you can then rearrange as you wish, creating new mailboxes etc.

The messages were earlier in System error(Red flag) state so i cancelled it manually.
I want to know how to delete the messages from sxmb_moni which are already cancelled manually using ctrl+f8.
if not possible , then i want to see them in earlier state i.e.., in System error(Red flag).

and to RSXMB_DELETE_MESSAGES in se38 , i don't have authorizations to run
Is there any way to delete the messages or make them to System error( Red flag) which are manually cancelled.

I think just for deleting the jobs you can do this only

Just delete them. Or, do you mean beyond just deleting them? Then, you'd need to wipe the phone - select Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. That's a secure wipe of the iPhone contents, takes several hours (connect to AC power). You'll need to set your phone up from scratch (and erase the old backup(s) from your computer, since your SMS history is part of the backup).

As expected, cdm-git also works fine since DMs only work in the root mode as of now.
Just for the record, both type commands output "/usr/bin/startx" and pacman -Q gives "systemd 215-4".

I had a server problem over the weekend and all of my email messages that i got from day #1 are reloading as new, unread mail. How can i delete them all(thousands). I'm using outlook and have not been able to sync my Inbox. Contacts and all else is fine.???

Check your account settings with Outlook for removing or deleting messages from the server when downloaded by Outlook.
The iPhone's email client includes the same settings, as do all email clients for a POP account.
I would handle this with Outlook. Delete and recreate the account with Outlook, and before checking the account for new message with Outlook, select remove or deleted messages from the server when downloaded for the account preferences with Outlook.
All messages available on the server will be downloaded again by Outlook, and removed from the server when doing so. You can mass delete all messages from Outlook.
When deleting and recreating the account with the iPhone's Mail client, none of these messages will be downloaded by the iPhone's Mail client after being removed from the server when downloaded by Outlook.
Or since you likely have webmail access for this account using a browser, you can mass delete all messages available on the server via webmail access. After deleting the messages from the server, delete and recreate the account with the iPhone's Mail client.
An IMAP account is much easier in this regard, which is designed to be accessed with multiple email clients on different computers or devices.
A POP account is designed to be accessed with a single email client on one computer or device.

How can I read non-deleted text messages from months ago without having to continuously press "Load Earlier Messages"?

I never deleted text messages from a specific person in case I ever wanted to go back and look at them. Now months have gone by and I don't feel like continuously pressing "Load Earlier Messages" for hours trying to get back and look at them. Is there anyway I can upload the whole conversation on to my computer and read the entire conversation from the beginning?

How do you delete specific message from users in Exchange 2013 DAG database?

Our network has been inundated with spam from INTUIT.COM with the SUBJECT: PAYMENT OVERDUE and contains a link to download a form from a Dropbox. Obviously, very suspicious and clearly spam. We're using Postini as our Edge Transport/ Spam filter but messages
are still getting in. I've enable anti-spam on all my mailbox servers, set the SCL values but that hasn't worked.
I understand that Exchange Edge Transport role has the more aggressive spam fighting features but Microsoft also recommends an online spam filter.
Needless to say, we've taken steps to quarantine those messages based on subject and sender in Postini but now would like to delete those messages from the users in went to. the command didn't work. I'm thinking its because I have DAG and a couple of databases. I even tried "get-mailbox -database "databasename" | search-mailbox -searchquery subject: "Payment Overdue"" and that didn't work.
I'm running Exchange 2013 SP1 DAG across two sites comprised of four 2013 SP1 mailbox servers.
