Deleted an album (into REAL trash and emptied) and now can't view pictures!
So, Not thinking, I had two of the same iPhoto album in my sidebar, so I dragged one into the computer trash and emptied it. Now, when I click on a photo, (because all the thumbs are still there) it expands into a giant !. They are there, but not... I am new to Mac and I just added all my photo's to my Imac to free up space on my devices, and I deleted everything!
It's there, but it's not. At first appearance, everything looks just dandy, but once you click on a picture, Something is VERY WRONG!!
What can i do? Is there a restore button?

Then the ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

Which trash is empty? If it's the iPhoto trash, check the System Trash, as files deleted from iPhoto 11 go there. Assuming that's also empty then you have exactly two options:
1. Restore from your back up
or
2. Use a file recovery app such as File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store -
In my 16 gb iPhone 5, Mail has used up 5,6 gbs of memory (and is increasing). Trash is empty and there are a few mails in my accounts with no attachments. What's wrong?
These are Apple's tips on this:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIs and corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see the battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service. -
I replaced the hard drive, motherboard, and battery but now can not restore my Ipod 5th gen? Error code 1416, any help?
When I did a Google search on "1416 error ipod 5th," there is some discussion that the earlier version of the logic board only accepted 30 and 60 GB drives (or words to that effect), but the later "5.5" version did allow larger capacity drives. If that info is true, the question is, do you have a compatible combination of logic board and hard drive?

I put photos in trash and emptied it! Can I get files bacK?
I threw my entire photo library in trash (don't ask) and emptied it. I've been trying to recover files with Data Rescue II -- have run it three times and every time, it sticks when I get to "Scanning Drive, Postprocessing CBR Data"
The first time it said: remaining time = 16 mins. 2nd time: remaining time = 18 mins. This time it says: Remaining time about 17 mins.
I started it last night at 10 pm. It's been stuck on "17 minutes remaining" since I got up this morning.
ANyone have any suggestions for getting it to process the hard drive?
Is there any other software I should try? I stopped using hard drive as soon as I realized what I'd done. I backed it up on external hard drive and am running off of that. (I know, I should have backed up BEFORE I deleted everything. Yikes)
Thanks for any suggestions...!The File Salvage program is truly a god send. It had been recommended to me and admittedly I was a bit skeptical. Ultimately, I did decide to download and purchase the Sunday morning following my unfortunate mishap and try it.
I am so happy that I did decide to buy and try it.
The downside is that can be time consuming as it automatically assigns new generic file names / numbers to each file that necessitates the user to open each file to determine if it is a file that he/she wishes to rename and save.
The upside is that I got all my files back and of course my sanity, as well. -

Have FIOS Quantum router up and running - but now can't connect to Tivo or my Aria scale -help!
Getting my router set up was quick and easy, but now I have a problem that has me stumped. I am not a router expert, so need help.
Neither my Tivos nor my Aria scale can connect to my router.

I am not sure that I am well-versed enough in router speak to figure it out on the admin dashboard.
Anybody who has run into this and has advice for me?
I have gone through the Tivo settings and Aria set-up, but both produce errors. For Tivo, it can't find the DHCP server. Aria just gives me a Wifi error message.
HELP!Interestingly enough, as soon as I plugged in our old trusted ActionTec, my Tivo connected without a problem, and I got my Motorola NIM100 to stop blinking. Go figure. On the phone now with Verizon (on hold) to figure this out. If not, it's going back.

Tried to update app's numbers and keynote, now can't access either of them and message says app can't be uploaded at present, so now both apps just show blank download bar, and I can't open them up at all. Can anyone help ?
Remember that you can always try finishing the downloads in iTunes on your computer and then sync the iPad to try to move the apps to the iPad.
You can try any of these suggestions as well.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again. -
Archived MM_MATBEL and now can't view data in MB03
We are currently archiving the object MM_MATBEL.
We have activated SARI and are using the DRB to display the material document.
From SARI and the DRB we can display the document where it takes us to MB03. That works successfully.
When we go directly to the transaction MB03 and try to display the archived document, we get the following error message: "Document 50018068 does not exist in calender year 1996".
We have implemented SAP Note 431689, but it did not fix the problem.

The note 431689 was developed as a special development in order to display archived MM doc's from tcode MB03. As explained the prerequisite for this note is to have MKPF_ARIDX. (The structure of archive index MKPF_ARIX and the material short document MARI are no longer permitted. These indexes were, up to now, built parallel to possibly existing archive info structures and used in Transaction MB51. )
So, the workaround of displaying the MM doc in MB03 using the report MB51.
- You need to execute MB51, by providing material, plant.
- Select the opton of reading document from archive.
- From the result, double click on the material document which is archived.
- System will display the document in MB03.

a number of site say done and we see a blank page. on-line calculus class, last week could view more than 1 video at a time now only 1 can be viewed. this course need to be completed by may 3. career builders some of the drop downs aren't working. need to find a job. these are serious errors that we did not experience before. we haven't updated to 4.0. now i see the one's who have are having these problems. daughter can't gt to e-mail. wish i could talk to someone. i'm going to try the live session at 2 but i'm not a techy. can take care of most problems, but this seems beyond me. sIf you are wondering why you are not getting any responses, it is because you have vented a complaint without any details that make any sense or give anyone something to work on.
If you want help, I suggest actually detailing what has happened, with versions of software etc. Anything that would let us assist.
As a start I am guessing that you have not really got the hang of "How it all works". Firstly download the Pages09_UserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu. Read that and view the Video Tutorials in the same place. A good addition would be the iWork 09 Missing manual book and something to help you learn how to use your Mac.

Referenced files not moved into system trash when emptying Aperture trash
I check the checkbox for "Move referenced files to system trash", but instead of moving them Aperture deletes them immediately.
Anyone else having this? My referenced files are on an external drive.You might have permissions problems with the trash on the external drive. If you delete a file on the external but outside of Aperture does it work OK?
OS X will immediately delete files if the trash file is not accessible for some reason. -
When I try either to close this "hanging" site/window or to return to the previous page/site, a second, pop-up window appears and asks whether I'm sure that I "want to navigate away from this page"; however, no yes-or-no option/buttons are visible (maybe they're at the ottom of the pop-up, but the pop-up's bottom margin extends below the bottom of mny screen, and I can't scroll down to it). Also, the hanging window has a "jump" tab (and that word also has been inserted in front of the "Mozilla Firefox (Private Browsing)" banner at the top of my screen. Last, toward the upper right of the window is a lozenge/button reading Install Missing Plugins" (an injunction that I ignored).
Mine does the same thing occasionally, is your phone jailbroken? Sometimes it will work if you delete the book and reinstall it or put your phone into airplane mode then turn it back off.
